I saw Billy Squier at Zaxx/Boots/Jaxx (name has changed a zillion times) in Springfield, VA many years ago. The place hold about 500 people. Still to this day, the loudest concert I have ever been to.

He jad talent and could slay with the rest of em.
Till he sold it all for pink spandex.
Never fancied The Stroke but he had some great
tunes that were the envy of the time.

This show is "Live in the Dark" - a bit before the "Rock Me Tonight" debacle. T-shirt and jeans deal, no gayness here.

Hey everyone. Sorry it's been a while since I've been on here. Work's a bitch (or making me their bitch, one or the other) and I've just been busy as hell. Thanks to all who put this topic over 10,000 posts. I can safely say that I made MR history with the most redundant topic.

I'm already a mess. Went out with my brother last night and we closed some bar in downtown Baltimore. I have no idea what it was. Woke up at his place this morning and I had no idea where I was. My wife picked me up this morning in the middle of a snowstorm.

You gotta love beer.

Sounds kinda like my night. Apparently I went to walmart and bought a Nintendo DS game (thankfully I have the system ) and had McDonalds. I THINK I have a date tonight....guess I should call and make sure.

Hey, guys....

This date - Feb. 26th - is so hard for me....I lost my Grandmother Loretta 21 years ago today:

what makes it even HARDER ~ is the fact that I look a LOT like her: more every year...

This was taken in 1942, at a beach; her hair's a BIT "windblown"...she was in her early 30s....she's hugging my Dad, who was in Kindergarten at the time:
ImageImage

She was a great Pianist; I guess I "inherited" her keyboard skills, somehow...didn't really have any training....

So, Loretta....here's to you....thanks for everything:

NORA my apologies  , when I posted earlier I went no farther than
to give a reply on Ed's post.
I get excited when someone gets all saucified and lost-like, sorry. :(

I offer a toast to a lady I never knew who had a hand
in the upbringing of a lady I'm glad to know, even if
only in words among cyber spaces.
I'm sincere when I say em so I see no difference in the
light shed on em because of where you stand when they
are given.

In honor of the late great gramma tragchk.........

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU...Miss Moon Chickita...

...and OH MY GOD...she would've gotten SUCH A KICK out of YOU!!

My Nana (as I called her) was such a CHICK 8) :

She LOVED her Bridge games, her cigarettes, and a good, hard drink....AND her "Scoundrel" perfume....which she wore until the day she died...my word... 8)

I have older pics of her...one of them I showed some co-workers, back in the 90s....

It was a pic of her, sitting for what looked liked her Confirmation picture....white dress, tall lace-up shoes; big white bow in her hair....she looked like something from the "Titanic"....

....and I had people saying to me:

"WOW, Nora, that's so COOL....so....which THEME PARK did you go to - to have that OLD FASHIONED PICTURE taken??"

...I WISH you could've been there when I explained that the girl in the pic was my GRANDMOTHER...NOT me...

...they almost PASSED OUT...
