I honestly do not recall an interview, of any of the band's members, that has not come off contradictory in some aspect to something they said elsewhere. Here Ross now insinuates that he and Smitty left the group of their own will . Completely contradicting BTM and other interviews. I understand that interviews are generally captures of a person's feeings at a certain time, but these guys can be ridiculous. I actually think making completely contradicting statements is a tactic they may be using to keep us completely confused.

Sometimes its not so easy being a Journey fan.

Empty threats and flights of delusion did not force the band’s hand. A couple of fans and a blog did, and if Ross were smart he’d give the online community a whole lot more credit. Only Jeff seems to get the power it truly wields.

I don't know. From what I gather here I'd say that he's rather obsessive about Tapegate - to the point that he defends it with everything in his arsenal.

Whatever happened to everyone having "moved on"? At every opportunity this issue is brought up and spun to new heights.

Fyre WOW ........as usual . Oh Sherrie ,you get the prize for the brief but powerful response. If the band thought there was money in it, they will do it. Touring and making records costs huge $$$. What was it that Neal was out $ 300,000.00 on one adventure. I still think to this day the only thing radio and record companies will back is with Perry. I hope a great touring business rewards Jeff for his efforts and they have to try a cd with Jeff.

Indeed not, Andrew. I'm hoping they all in turn deny it. They have no other choice. Many don't believe it and many don't care. I believe it but also think that it is in their best interests to to call it a figment of some ones imagination. I posted that a while back about it being in the bands best interests to have it rumored that it was just a rumor after all.

Ross has mentioned a few times that he and Smitty were involved in other projects after the band split, in 1983 was it? The three others had this thing going that turned out to be ROR. I thought that it was not even supposed to even be called Journey in the begining. Glad he touched part of this.

I liked the interview and am not here to make a wave.
