and I spent most of it over a pot of boiling water making perogies.
Piggy roast be tomorrow and I am almost done with these potato filled bitches. :lol:

You will NEVER see me pitch a fit about the heat or humidity.
I live for Summer, we have no central air and all I ever need when
it's really hot out is a good garden hose or the kids lil pool.

Temps have been great here, but we're getting a "storm" this weekend that everyone is oohing and aahing over as a sign of a big hurricane season, blah blah. Ever notice that people who live on the coast are used to hurricanes and it's not that much drama except for those that don't?

That is so true. Of course, the BIG news today is that only 50% of people living on the coast actually have a plan. I was pleasantly surprised to hear Ray Nagin telling the people of New Orleans that they needed to have their OWN plan to evacuate in the event of a storm. Having lived through hurricanes, tropical storms, and various rough thunderstorms, it never once occurred to me to wait for the government to help me.

We should drink a toast today in hopes of a safe, quiet hurricane season.
