So I guess Jon made the call again?

Who the hell is managing these guys? They pick up momentum on Sunday then they shoot themselves in the foot on Tuesday. What gives? With every dumb ass move they portray Perry as a genius.

The only rational explanation for any of this would be if Steve Perry was making a return to the fold perhaps for a farewell tour or maybe for something more substantial. Deano says elsewhere that Perry is not the new lead singer which could be read one of two ways. Either he is not the lead singer period or he is not the new lead singer rather the returning 'old' singer.

There is no smokescreen, Sabrina is due in September and he is taking time off to spend with her & baby Quinn.

Perry will not be the next singer of this band. Is that clear enough? There is nothing rational about this that I can find anywhere.

Seriously, I saw Soul Sirkus with Jeff at the Somerville Theater in MA and I was impressed. I wished I could have seen him with Journey, and was planning to after the supposed new album.

I feel for Jeff, and he really seems like a class act. Above board, no BS. I appreciate that in the bands I've been in as well as just a person in life. JSS will land on his feet. For all the shit he got from some people, he really did a lot for the band and saved their bacon.

I also to some degree feel bad for Andrew as he's friends with JSS and he's had a good relationship with Journey's management all along. I can only imagine how tough it is for him right now to have to possibly choose a side (if it comes to that). Although I think Jeff wouldn't let it go there.

I can only imagine how tough it will be for Journey going forward - nothing short of Perry coming back (which we all know isn't going to happen) will keep the die hards around.

Interestingly Journey are still listed under Jeff's friends on MySpace complete with 'new' band photo. God, I am reading far to much into this, i'm like Fox Mulder - "the truth is out there!"
