Some things to get off my chest

Gonna be a long rant so hold on.

First, what happened to Jeff sucked dick right from the word go. The sneaky assholes at the "Official" Journey website knew about this shit coming before Jeff. How fucked up is that? They shut the site down before the information was released just to avoid the onslaught. Cowards!
So as a result of this, the BT wildebeasts that trashed MR during the SA tapegate thing are now here in droves like a stampede at the local all u can eat joint. If you sows didn't like the place last year, what's changed? Leading the charge is Mr. twinkie himself, Rich Meyers. This guy is so blindly loyal to this band that he swallows everything that they say like a $10.00 whore. Dude give up, facts are facts. Remove your head from Schon's balls long enough to see daylight and you'll realize that there is some really underhanded shit going on inside this band. Now we move on to Yogi, some fucked up lurker who up until now hasn't been here since tapegate, but all of the sudden pops up, shit stick in hand to stir things up with his bullshit rantings about Sammy Hagar being the new lead singer. I wish I could afford those drugs, but at least our leader here, Andrew told him to shut up because it aint happening. Now Andrew has also dispelled all rumors of a Perry fronted reunion and yet the loons and the sows are still not willing to buy that. The guy has been dead balls accurate about everything thus far so why would you disrespect him on HIS website by doubting what he is telling you? Not to mention that someone posted a direct quote from Perry himself saying he is NOT coming back and yet you all persist. The secret sauce at McDonalds is really clouding your brain. You all really need to step back and look at this stuff from the outside without any preconceived notions about what you think you know and just look at the whole picture objectively. The facts WILL eventually surface, maybe not all at once but they will come out. Hell some of it already is out. The question is do you WANT to believe it?

Jmac, I agree with most of what you're saying. I certainly would never want to show Andrew any disrespect at his site, and I don't doubt that his sources are telling him this. I DO doubt the veracity of what comes out of many a celebs mouth in times such as these. I once again offer the Nic Saban, Billy Donovan, and recently Kobe Bryant situations as exhibits a,b and c. (yes, it's sports , but still...six of one , half a dozen of the other, imho) "We're NOT gonna do this ...No, we're AB-SO-LUTLEY we're not gonna do this...oh, by the way..we're doing this!" It happens all the time. To deny that this is a fact of the world of the celebrity is simply off the mark. It happens ALL THE TIME.

What I may be missing is if SOMEONE here knows a legitimate reason as to WHY Steve Perry will NEVER reunite with Journey, then spill it. All I've heard is either speculation cpncerning his voice, his inability to get along with band members, blah, blah blah..(all things that are very easily forgotten with the lure of huge reunion tour dollars) or just falt denials. So what's the real story here?

BTW, I'm neither a "loon" nor a "sow"...I have no dog in this fight...I'm merely someone who is interested in this story.

Uh, 'cuse me guys, but what 'loons would you be bitching about? I don't recall any of the MR 'loon community giving the Perry reunion rumor any credibility.

Your opinion is noted and respected. You made valid points here. Look at the history since the TBF years when Perry left or was thrown out, Since then he has repeatedly stated that he was divorced from Journey officially in October of 1998. Further with regards to your money supposition. Read Herbie Herberts' interview. In it he states that Perry was the smartest of all of the band with his money and now has more money than God. He doesn't need the cash so why go through the trouble?

Thanks, I forgot about that. Along that line, I'd love to re-read Herbie's interview, but I can't find it online. Anyone know a source for that?

Totally different guitarists in totally different schools of playing. Both are good at what makes them great guitarists in their own right. Granted, I doubt Keith Scott would drop his mother from a plane at 22,000 feet in order to pay next month's 5 alimony checks....so I guess any similarities end with their abilities as guitarists....
