If your house was on fire & Al Gore came over to help you put it out, you'd turn around & stop him-just 'cause you can't stand him, talk about overemotional! The fake idea of next generation technology bankrupting it-it's like you're with the horse & buggy crowd & holding us back. You can't outsource it if it's a building or a power plant right here. I can't stand the smog & pollution, but whatever, back to your usual.

No one likes it that anyone has died in Iraq, it sucks. But.. in Vietnam 54,000 US soldiers died, terrible and for what? :? When we left 2 million Cambodians and South Vietnamese were murdered. Why? okay with that in mind.....

The war we are fighting in Iraq is to keep them fight THERE! exhaust their resources.
In 4 years over a million coalition troops have cycled through Iraq, around 4,000 men and women have died -horrible yes, but dude no one is being sent to their death as you put it. Your statement has an emotional tone and its meant to be inflammatory, but it adds nothing to an argument.

As far as Iraq, we are at war with Iran. John Loftus said it 2 yrs ago and it seems he was right. We have had our interests being attecked since the Carter Presidency. Finally, someone took action. We are at war for the rest of our lives. I think they see this as payback for the crusades 500 yrs ago. The only thing that has changed is the weapons they try to acquire. No country is immune and they attack all over the globe. Now, that kook Chavez is welcoming Amedenijad ( you spell it) is making deals with them. Wake up, please !

Good post. Al Qaeda is just now starting to realize that they're getting their asses kicked. We've all but destroyed their network. They're close to being bankrupt, and without money to support their operations they become MUCH less of a threat. While we're nowhere near the end of this war, we're not doing as bad as some like to claim. The media only focuses on the negatives, never the positives.

I disagree in principal and God Damn Presidente Jorge Booosh for getting us into this fuckin mess. In hindsight, we were MUCH better off leaving Saddam in power, in part because he didn't structure his government around Islamic law but rather Saddam law, however brutal it was.

Contrary to what Liberals think, it's not as simple as packing our shit up and going home. A sudden pull out would leave a massive fuckin vacuum in that arm-pit-part-of-the-world. You can bet your ass Iran will move right in and we'll be on our way to restoring the great Persian empire, the implications of which the dim witted left just don't understand.

On the other hand, the ever popular hero of the left Michael i_need_MORE_food was just over in Iran licking Achmedinijad's ass so Achmedinijad is probably a good guy in their book.

Technically, you are correct however Al Qaeda is ahead by leaps and bounds in the PR war. Even the mighty American military is vulnerable when our enemies have the likes of Pelosi, Turban Durban, CNN, etc pulling for them.

If Al Qaeda leaders have 1/2 a brain, they'll sit back and let us defeat ourselves. More and more Republican's are jumping ship on Iraq. Bush is radioactive right now and nobody wants to go near him thus I predict a total troop pull out in 18 months or less.

Hey G.I Jim....don't you have anything better to do - like recruit young men and women, so they can be sent to their deaths in Irag?

You really are a patriot aren't you? No, I think I'll quit recruiting. It's obvious according to your posts, that we haven't had a threat, or been under any kind of attack since WWII. And for your information, several of those people "Sent to their deaths" are great friends of mine. Why did you ever even serve your country, if you don't believe in it???

Good retort, no doubt, but I don't think "Al Qaeda is ahead by leaps and bounds in the PR war." I think they WERE, but killing Al Zarqawi, capturing that hairy fucker Khalid Sheik Mohammad and the fact that Bin Laden is either dead or too afraid to show his sorry ass has some seeing that progress is steadily being made. Not to mention the fact that we've been safe on the homefront for nearly 6 years and have thwarted quite a few attempts to repeat a 9/11 type catastrophe.

The better plan was to not invade Iraq. Saddam was a whore and we could have made him our bitch again with a little incentive.

If we took all the Iraq war money and spent it on securing our borders, shoring up our military technology, funding programs for alternative energy (hybrid technology was on the horizon in 2000) and building more Nuclear reactors to generate power, we'd be in a much better position right now and we'd be far less dependent on middle east oil.

Now the alternative is we pull out and Iran takes control of Iraq's oil supply...or we stick it out with our Marines' having their hands tied behind their backs because liberals cant stomach seeing pink underwear on the heads of prisoners. That's a fuckin mess alright.

This is a good point. If that middle eastern oil money dries up, so do the middle eastern terrorists.

Disagreeing with the war means I'm unpatriotic just as much as not agreeing with Journey's decisions of late mean that one is not a Journey fan.....Where do you get your logic from? Oh yeah, the military.

And I signed up when I didn't know any better. I had to go to college to become a cynic. Isn't that how it always is? The more educated one is, the more jaded they become.

Just keep allowing the rich white politicians to send the poor to war to fight their silly battles. Again, we were lied to in order for us to get over there. Once we were there, the admin. knew we'd be there 'indefinitely'. Nice scheme, huh? ONCE WE WERE THERE. All Bush had to do was get us there....And the public fell for it.

You can wave the military pom poms all you want. I'm tired of the public falling for Bush's 'fear card'.....because it is BULLSHIT.

Now, on top of being unpatriotic, you're racist as well??? Bush saw the same intelligence that all of the Republican's and Democrat's in office saw. They ALL thought there was a credible threat of WMD's and agreed we needed to interveen, or did you just forget about that? Just like all of the Democrats who forgot about agreeing to go to war, only after it became unpopular! Why am I wasting my time talking to you??? I go back to my previous statement...You are a fucking DUMBASS!!!

Before I say that an honest reading of this thread will discover your pitiful need for adulation, I’ll suggest an honest reading of this thread will discover your bloated ego was used jujitsu style to expose you as a pseudo-intellectual poser.
Continue to dance to your synthetic band as you fashion your world in your own image.
Using yourself as a yardstick to measure everyone else: you will come up short: In spite the fact that you think you are deserving of the 'Apha Male' moniker.

Thank you Rick. I can understand a difference of opinion Socratic Methodist. That's your right, but when you basically call me a baby killer for recruiting people into the military and "Send them to their deaths", that's when I cross the line. I think we can agree to disagree, but when you throw out something like that, I'm not leaving it alone...Not fot one minute.

Do I like us being engaged in war? Nope, like everyone else, I wish my friends were back here safe with their families. I do think that since we ARE there, and we ARE engaged in a war, it's important for us to finish. Otherwise, everyone who fell from those buildings, were crushed to death, or died of related causes died in vein.

I could never accept that, and I don't think you really want that either. I just want this country to be safe.

And calling me unpatriotic, AND racist was ok?

Illegal aliens are more of an issue in this country than the threat of terrorism. If the government wanted to 'protect' this country, it would make sure everyone had healthcare......and had a chance at employment - as opposed to getting 'undercut' by cheap illegal labor.

I apologize for my statement.

Certain memebrs here can go off on rants, like AR, and Deano....but I can't type a short sentence worth of an opinion?

I responded to HIS response.....I guess you had no problem with that tho'? :)

Doesn't matter, you should just admit that your comment was wrong. Whether you choose to believe it or not Jim and people like him protect your right to post bullshit statements like that one, and you should show some respect.

Apology accepted (I think) You're the one who said rich "White politicians" were sending us off to war! I do agree that illegal immigration is one of our biggest worries though! I was saving that one for a different thread! Lol

Dissing Gore seems to be the vogue thing to do....what a shame people are so conforming to the mob mentality.

You're a pussy.

How ya like dem’ apples?

You OBVIOUSLY don't know me. I really don't give a fuck what anyone thinks except for those close to me and there aren't enough on here for me to showcase my "bloated ego." I was merely responding appropriately to YOU calling someone that recruits for the military a murderer in essence. I stand by my statement, unless your apology was sincere. If it was, I retract my comment.

Didn't this thread start out talking about Al Goracle's FEAR CARD?

I'm laughing my ass off because I'll bet dollars to donuts you went to Berkeley. If that's the best you can do, you got ripped off. You should ask for a refund.

Finally, we somewhat agree however the threat of terrorism AND illegal aliens are not mutually exclusive. As long as the borders are wide open, the terrorist threat is real. Forget the socialist heath care, that's a disaster in the making (please spare me the SICKO quotes about Cuba, you'll have to do better than that). The employment, you bet. Americans would be much more receptive to "Doing those jobs American's wont do" if the wages were competitive.

Well, as expected, it took a .01 second Google search to find out this was utter bullshit.

Probably about half as many as you'd catch if you tried debunking Democratic ones... :D

Anyway, good catch.
