You know Zan we all here know you are smarter than everyone else. I RARELY personally attack anyone on this fourm buttttt........... this guy pisses me off, here is why: If there is a profile on hecklers he fits it to a T. I LOVE profiling, and this guy fits the profile.

This is the same guy that has a heart attack and then when someone performs CPR and saves his life he tries to sue them for breaking a rib. The same guy that robs a house, and then when he gets shot sues the owner of the home. He's the same guy that while eating 3 Egg McMuffins spills hot coffee on himself and sues McDonalds.

P.S.- The profile on a heckler is: a loud unemployed fat ass. Usually this loud unemployed fat ass is drunk when he starts his show.

Assuming what you say is true (which there is no way to possibly know this, altho I do see similarities), this is justification for making fun of his appearance (and consequently, possibly hurting the feelings of anyone else who shares the same physical traits)? I still don't get it.

I said she DRESSES like a hooker. I compare how she DRESSES to a hooker, not her personally. And again, this is something she makes a conscious decision to do when she leaves the house. Someone's physical appearance (weight, face, etc.) is not that simple to change.

The divisions in Styx helped send me into a pretty severe depression which I have yet to recover from and this is just reopening a lot of old wounds that I have. I was utterly devastated by the in fighting in Styx (I think it happens when your heroes hate each other like this). I am a Tommy Shaw fan but I also love Dennis Deyoung.

What happened on stage sent me into tears a couple of days ago. Since then I have thought a lot about it. This happens in rock bands quite a bit. I remember Blackie Lawless of WASP doing something similar after they had fired their guitarist before the "Inside the Electric Circus" tour. Someone in the crowd yelled something at Blackie and he called them a f--king c-nt. I also remember it with David Coverdale after the Coverdale / Page tour and Robert Plant fans were in the audience. And, of course, Black Oak Arkansas, went through numerous personel changes and, let's just say that Jim Dandy Mangrum didn't mince words on stage about his ex-bandmates. It didn't bother me so much then so I don't know why it is bothering me so much now. Perhaps I just hold da boyz to a higher standard.

I will say that I think the obese person in the crowd was just trying to start trouble. For that, I hate him.

I wish it was like it used to be when we thought they were all friends!

Those days are long gone with regards to Styx and probably with a lot of bands that broke up with a lot of rancor.

Again. Many of us have seen Dennis in concert and there have certainly been some hecklers, and a few dumb-ass drunks, and no one has reported that kind of reaction from the stage. That, coupled with the normally laid back, easy-going Glen's reaction, has lead a number of us to believe the provocation went beyond the pale.

No more can really be made from this other than from those who witnessed it first hand.

I think maybe you shouldn't think so much about it. I myself get caught up in the stupidity that sometimes unveils itself here and have to step back and ask myself, why bother? If you are becoming that emotional about this...time to step back. Some decide to live in a fantasy soap opera involving past and present members of a musical group. Some feel it makes them more important by becoming so emotionally attached. I say go for it if you want to waste such time. Life has enough challenges on it's own without getting emotionally attached to musicians who could really give a shit less about what most fans think.

Oh - GAG. Tammy Faye passed the day before yesterday, and I found out last night. I never even knew she was sick, but I have always liked her. I was sad when I heard the news that she lost her battle with cancer. Doesn't mean I thought she knew how to apply make-up - she's been the brunt of bad make-up jokes for nearly twenty years - it ain't rocket science, pieces. Even YOU can figure it out. Also, I have been saying the same thing about Suzanne and her make-up for some time now (hence why Yogi mentioned it today), it has nothing to do with Ms. Tammy-Faye's parting.

For me, I guess it just comes down to the fact that I don't understand where the "what do you and your Mom do for a living" aspect is relevant.. Based on what I know already, I definitely think the guy deserved a fuck you; a finger; maybe even the fat fuck comment, but that's where it seems like the line should have been drawn. The whole glen aspect of the story is what puzzles me, and I realize that's the part that might not have even taken place.
