Glad you all had a good time and that Jen arrived safely
with "The Master" in tow.
Hope their trip back is a good one.
How many people were at the party Ms M?

It ended up being small, but I think that made it more fun! There were 8 of us - Liam, Jen, Torch (my sister), Mr. Torch, my best friend and her boyfriend, me and my new sweetie. :D

Jen and I had an AWESOME time. IHOP this morning sucked 'cause it was before 11 AM, but at least I had great, hungover company.

Thank you, Michelle, for havin' me there. :-)

Mr. Torch and I had an awesome time too, Liam! I wish we'd been able to stay for the Harlem Shuffle, though. :) I can't wait to see all of the pictures from the dancefloor!

So. . .when are y'all coming back down here so we can all party again?

Well...I'LL be back in Houston on Aug 14th for the Rush concert. It's a Tuesday so I don't see us partying that night...but there's ALSO Friday Aug 31st Def Leppard/Styx/Foreigner at the Woodlands. I'm gonna TRY to make that one. We'll get something together soon, but Jen is another story. I don't think anyone will see her until South Bend. I'm suprised as hell that I've seen her THIS much this year.

I think everyone got a little preview on just how much I could drink. 9 beers BEFORE we went to the club...3 shots and about 8 beers (I think) AT the club. WATCH OUT, SOUTH BEND.

Party Injury Update... Re-post from JSS Forum

Postby Ms_M » Tue Jul 31, 2007 1:04 pm

We had 2 partyers (Is that a word??) fall down during the festivities Sat night/Sun morning. Good news - Torch is scraped, bruised, but ok. My best friend, on the other hand.... Not so good. She said her foot was really hurting before she hit the hay for the night. Yesterday, it swelled up and was very painful. Her doctor confirmed today that she SHATTERED the middle bone in her big toe. She is now confined to one of those big boot thingys. I so feel her pain, since I spent last summer in one. She did say she had a blast except for the breaking her toe thing....

Saturday, she wiped out on her porch - stepped in some mud then slipped on the porch. Having lived at that house a good portion of my life, I can attest to the porch's slipperyness (is that a word?) Today, she had a little flare up of phlebitis. It's very light, the doc prescribed heat and anti-inflammatories. A little scary at first, but she'll be ok.

1:20 am and all is well here. "Superficial thrombophlebitis" is the diagnosis. Tons of Motrin and a couple of hot compresses later and my leg is *almost* as good as new. More like an inflammation than actual blood clots.

See, it was these pink/red spots on my lower right leg. My and MsM's mom had phlebitis (blood clots in the veins in her leg) when she was about 19. She recognized it pretty quickly on me this afternoon. Here's the ironic/funny/depressing part. . .the doctor who examined my leg was friggin' *gorgeous*. He was soooooo good lookin' with a nice, deep voice. There were two thoughts running through my head simultaneously.

"F**k! I didn't shave my legs in the shower this morning!"

and. . .

"I'm married. I'm married. I'm married."

So, I survived, mortally embarrased though I am.

Liam - Too bad I'll miss out on South Bend. I expect pictures. Lots and lots of pictures! Wait, maybe I should tell MsM that. . .and threaten her with posting grade school dance class pics of her in the Booze Thread. . .
If I wanted to be a doormat, I'd sit out on my front step with a key up my ass.
