Word Over At Frank's Crib: Augeri Sang?

Postby Red13JoePa » Thu Nov 22, 2007 5:13 am

...at a recent gig?

:? Covered some Journey too, from what I read how come we didn't hear about this?

From a The Bash Journey Forums poster:

"I have a friend in Florida who had the opportunity to attend a special charity event during which Steve Augeri made his first stage appearance since leaving Journey. My friend said that Steve never sounded better and that he rocked the house. He did some Journey tunes and was accompanied by Brooke St. James formerly of Tyketto. Some of you may already have heard about this, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway. I'm jealous as hell, and wish I could have been there!!!!!"

If he did some Journey, I wonder what the rest of the set consisted of?

Great news. All the vocal rest must've done him a big favor.

So I guess we can expect a solo album after all.

That's what I got from my friend who was there as a guest of the theirs. I'll say what I said on TBJF, not sure if it means anything other than he was doing what he does best, helping out a great cause. But we an hope. :D

Cool. I hope it's a sign that he might be getting back into things. I never saw him with Journey, but if I can see him live without having to line Journey's pockets again, then ACES!! 8)

Come on, you friggin' Jagass!!! Spill the beans on the important stuff!

What kind of hair-style was he sportin'? Long? Short?
Was he in his "Red Leathers"???
Did he do his patented Wiggle???

This is great news, all kidding and playing aside.
It's great, not because he is singing again (and hopefully sounding great),
but because he ventured back out into the public eye.

If he got a warm reception, which I am sure he did, it might have been just
the right amount of a "confidence booster" he needed to get other things going.

Hope to hear more from him soon...

I still haven't see a wiggle. It was more like a "shuffle".

I preferred the black leather, myself. The red was so....well, red!

And I do want to know what he looked like [looking around...nope, no loon here!] :D

I might not have ever liked him, but I would love for him to do well just to stick it in the face of the rest of the band.
