I'm pretty sure your wish will be granted! I honestly don't see either team losing. Norv Turner will somehow fuck up the Indy game, and he'll be the reason they lose that game. Jacksonville has gone as far as their talent will take them. Even though I would have preferred to play Pittsburgh (I thought the Steelers flat out SUCKED), I think New England can handle the Jaguars. The one good thing about playing the Jaguars are there are A LOT of national media types who think that Jacksonville will beat the Patriots. I've already started hearing it. The Jaguars are the "underdog" team that everyone has decided to pick this season. The more who pick against the Patriots, the better. There isn't a single team in the NFL who gets more fired up by media pundits telling them that they're going to lose. The only thing that will make things better for the Patriots is if some Jaguar players come out during the week and run their mouths, but, I suspect Del Rio has probably put a "gag order" on his entire team!

It's going to happen and then Peyton can whine about his O line, the cold, the snow, the turf, his TE's, WR's, the towel boy, the water boy and anyone else that bitch can think off.....Personally, I hope he tears an ACL this week in practice.....

Boy a lot of confidence...and a classless comment on a classy athlete.

I hope to Hell J Ville beats you, especially on a fluke play and a play in which there is a definite penalty and no flag is thrown.

Funny thing is, I think New England and their 90% passing offense would be MUCH better suited playing indoors. If it's a cold, windy day it hampers the hell out of their offense and makes them rely on their non-existent running game more. They sure looked average versus the Jets in shitty weather, but were straight "housing" motherfuckers during the nice Fall weather. I'm rooting for them because I LOVE Belichick and I'm tired of seeing those fags on the 72 Dolphins toast champagne every year when the last undefeated team loses.

Oh...I love going to games...I just can't seem to get into it when it's on TV. I went to 2 Nashville Predators' games back in '98 and I loved it. Lot of action...fast paced...cool game. I just have to be there live for it. That's just me though. I DO root for the Stars in a "passer-by" kinda way. It's Dallas...gotta go for 'em.

SJ...

The cold is a non-issue. I can assure you as a guy who has suffered through endless New England winters, that anyone up there is quite acclimated to it. The wind ALWAYS affects the passing game. That's football 101.

As for the 72 Dolphins...I agree with your sentiment. Whether it was my team or another team, I'd be rooting to shut their old, miserable, asses up. Mercury Morris makes my skin crawl. The way that fucker talks, I think he's back on the cocaine! I'll be VERY happy if ANY team shuts those guys up, once and for all!

It's a helluva lot colder in Green Bay, Wisconsin than Boston, and it won't affect the Seahawks.

Take away the "Pass Interference" call against Ellis Hobbs in the AFC title game last year, when Hobbs didn't at any point in time come in contact or touch a photon on Wayne's body...on 3rd and 12, no less, from the Pats' 43...no FG, so that's seven points. Then Bob Sanders MAULS Troy Brown on a 3rd down pass that Brown 100% guaranteed would have caught for a TD...the no call, the Pats settle for a FG. That's 10 points the refs gave the Dolts last year. Factor that in and that "heroic" last-minute drive by Manning (aided by a phantom roughing-the-passer call on 3rd down) would have just ensured Indianapolis would have covered the spread. And then little Peyton wouldn't have the SB title the NFL so desperately wanted him to get. The Pats should be going for #5 this year. Only the refs can stand between them and a fourth SB title.

You might get there, Liam. It definitely won't be this season. I was bullish on the Cowboys at the beginning of the season. Since that time, they have looked like a VERY average team. The NFC is WIDE open. Regardless of who the NFC representative is and who the AFC representative is (It will only be NE or Indy in the AFC), the NFC will get smoked, once again, in the Super Bowl!

those steelers teams in the 70's won two super bowls against dallas and pittsburgh was known as a dynasty with four rings that decade.however if dallas had won those two super bowls they would've been the dynasty instead with four or five super bowls won.

Which means what? I mean, they did cover the spread in one of those two SB losses. So...what's the point? They lost. And they're gonna lose again this year. No way do the Cowgirls beat the Colts or Patriots. No chance in hell.

I love this shit! More ammunition for the HATED Patriots! Check this out...straight from the official Jacksonville Jaguar website... http://www.jaguars.com/News/powerrankings.aspx

Notice the asterisk next to the Patriots record, and scroll down! When will these MORONIC teams learn? If you want to beat the Patriots...SHUT THE FUCK UP, and just play the game! Hey Jaguars...Image

Every other damn team in the NFL can get that exact footage LEGALLY by filming from 50 feet farther back. They were "caught" in the FIRST QUARTER of the FIRST GAME, so no "illegal" footage could have been used to their advantage (like they needed it against that awful team). Plus, the Jets were caught doing the EXACT SAME THING the previous season - only the Pats didn't press charges because they knew that a) the footage could be obtained by backing up 15 yards; b) that it wouldn't really affect the outcome of the game at all; and c) the Jets sucked donkey balls so it wouldn't have mattered if the Pats' offensive line had been Manute Bol, Muggsy Bogues, and Art Donovan.

The JETS are going to be a contender? Clemmens and Pennington both SUCK and can't throw the ball 40 yards in the air. Jones can't run behind a non-existant offensive line, and they have the worst linebackers in the game. What a moronic "insight".

In one way I want to agree with you on the GB/NE Super Bowl just because it's Favre's last year and I want to see him go out as a shining star....but I don't think it's gonna happen. Like John said...the NFL is unpredictable so I'm gonna go with Indy and Dallas in the SB.
I'd LOVE to see the Cowboys get in the SB with a quarterback that's doing his first full season start. And if it's won....even better. :-)

At this point, I haven't got a clue about who is coming out of the NFC. Green Bay has had a phenomenal season, but they are far from a dominant team. Also, as much as I like Brett Favre, let's not forget that in addition to all the great records the guy has, he has more interceptions and more lost fumbles than ANY QB in NFL history, so he certainly makes his share of mistakes! Mistakes like that simply don't work in the playoffs!

As for the AFC, I honestly can't see ANY way that it's not Indy and NE fighting it out. Even though EVERYONE loves Jacksonville, I just don't see it. The ONLY chance Jacksonville has is scoring early and keeping the lead. They have only won ONE single game, the entire season, when being behind as early as the 1st quarter, which is an unbelievable stat! The Jaguars simply don't have the offense to mount a comeback, against ANYONE. Their entire offensive gameplan is to run, run, run, and if they find themselves behind by two touchdowns, the running game is going to have to be abandoned! If Brady comes out and throws 4 picks, then maybe the Jaguars have a chance. Other than that, I think they lose by a minimum of two touchdowns. Early weather reports are for temperatures in the forties and clear skies. Temperatures in the forties at night, in New England in January is downright tropical, so weather isn't going to be a factor!

I think it's hilarious that all of you resident football experts are completely ignoring (and therefore dismissing) the Chargers in all of your potential AFC scenarios.

I sincerely hope to rub your faces in this oversight over the next couple of weeks...or more.

Yep.
Although factually accurate it's not going to help their cause as Belicheat will doubtless have the walls papered in that now.
