OT: NFL Playoff Weekend

Isn't it funny how no pro sports player is ever guilty of a penalty in their own eyes? They always have this shocked "I can't believe it!" attitude about it. If they would just man up and accept they fucked up, I'd have more respect for them.

Well, I'm quite sure that I never once said "A win is a win no matter how ya get it". I said it doesn't matter if you win by one point or 30 points...It still counts in the W column! As for predictions...I'm 2-0 so far, after a subpar 2-2 last weekend. I think the Colts will blow out San Diego. SD is a fraud team, just like Pittsburgh! Merriman needs to stop doing his retarded sack dance and focus on winning a football game! The guy is a complete JACKASS! It wouldn't shock me to see Indy win by three touchdowns.

As far as the Dallas/Giants game...this is a VERY tough game for me. As a Boston guy, I am required to LOATHE EVERYTHING New York! I've also always DESPISED the Cowboys. Because I hate both team equally, it's easier to be a bit more objective. If T.O. is running the way I saw him running in practice on Thursday (he was full speed with no visible signs of the high ankle sprain), Dallas will give the Giants all they can handle! That said, I still think Wade is a buffoon and can't be trusted to win ANYTHING! I think regardless of which team wins, it's going to be close. I'm still picking the Giants to upset the Cowboys in this one. I just don't think Dallas is focused or well-coached enough to win in the playoffs!

Did they ever. They had a pretty good season overall though. I have to give them a big round of applause. With the exception of Owens, they're pretty much a bunch of nobody's, and they did pretty damn good. I agree that Phillips needs to be replaced, but just to secure Garrett. Make Phillips the GM and make Garrett the head coach. Would work better that way.

Collectively yes, Owens is the only big name guy on the team unless you consider Romo. He's too young in the league to be a big name player, he's just big hyped. None of the other guys are household names. That's what I meant about nobody's.

As far as Phillips being the GM, that's the only alternative. Jones already said he would be back next year. I seriously doubt he meant that by demoting him. He'll either be the GM or the HC, I'm hoping he is the GM so that Garrett can be the head coach. That's one dude I don't want to see the Cowboys lose.

Not so sure the Colts are over-rated, there's a heap of talent on that team, however, there were a lot of calls that went in their direction. There should have been an eyebrow or two that were raised over it. I'm glad you said something, I thought I was the only one who was freaking over that.

Dallas is playing possum. They're gonna crush the Giants. I say they win by 17. I like the Pats and Packers today also.

If the Giants come out with the same focus they had against the Pats, Dallas will go down. I think the game hinges on two players:

1) TO - High ankle sprains are a bitch and they take forever to go away. I think you will see a very limited TO on Sunday.

2) Eli Manning - If good Eli shows up, the Giants should win. If bad Eli shows up, Dallas will win.

I think TO needs to play, also. He has been allowed to be TO this year and Dallas has thrived. That bitter, fat old grouch Parcells took TO and tried to turn him into the type of player he wanted him to be. Phillips has let TO be TO and the results speak for themselves.
