MR ROCKS!

Postby Rick » Sun Feb 10, 2008 11:56 am

What a great place to share thoughts and ideas among like minded people.

So many friendships have been forged here. A huge cudo should be extended to Andrew for giving us this place to do just that.

I've met a great few people from here and am better for it, and want to do more of that. I've talked to another few on the phone with the same result.

Sadly, there has been a huge parting of ways with a lot of MR regulars, and that's a shame.

A few 'I'm sorry's' and other like minded sentiments could bring it all back together again in short order.

This whole diatribe about this person said this and that person did that is all just trivial bullshit.

You people have enjoyed concerts and parties together, and have exchanged ideas on raising children, cooking recipes, relationship advice, the list is endless.

Are we going to let these friendships die a horrible death because of petty differences? The people I've met from here surely wouldn't.

Just maybe we need a new direction of thinking. Let's not toil on the trivial bullshit that has kept us apart, and think about the things that we can do together.

There are scant few things in life that don't deserve forgiveness.

All of you, and you know who I'm referencing here, forget the ugliness and start trying to remember the good/GREAT times you've had with a whole bunch of fantastic people. It's damn sure a worthwhile effort.

I hate nobody, never will. I'm all about giving people a second or even a third chance. How ever many it takes to get someone on the right track.

Hatred is a wasted emotion.

Let's let shit go and start rebuilding some friendships that certainly deserve it.

I'm whipping the ass of anyone that doesn't agree with me here. Buncha pissy assed motherfuckers!

Very well said Rick. A true gentleman. Thank you.

I have never met anyone on here but I do enjoy what EVERYONE brings to the table.

(This also includes Rip, I swear that man changes his avatar more than most people change their underwear.)

I'm enjoying the current one. If it were me I'd have put Don IN the red heels but, nonetheless... well done, Rip. :D

But not to step upon Rick's very wonderful thread.... carry on.

Why, Rick, how nice... It's because I change my avatar almost as often as I change my briefs... :P

On a serious note, I didn't intend to ignite a full-scale war with my silly Berkeley/Annex reference -- it was just an easy play on words and I exploited it. Once the fur really started to fly and the venom and insults got intense, I felt a little guilty. At least I got in one good George Lynch reference right before Andrew locked the thread. So anyway, I do apologize for any mayhem and destruction that was caused by my silly joke, and I just thank God George Lynch had the last word. That's what we call "peace thru superior firepower". Love to all!

I haven't forgotten you, BJG, and trust me, The Beatles will be back! :P The red shoes are Rhiannon's, btw... She left them at Don's house and he's just trying to return them. That's one great thing about Don -- if you go for the one-nighter with him, you can rest assured your belongings are covered and won't end up in his trash can the next morning. Think of it as a "hook up with insurance"... the perfect gift for that lady on the go! Anyway, once she claims her shoes back, expect the return of Don Lennon! :P

Well Rip it is easy to say nice things about your family, since you have a beautiful family.

Just one thing. The "MOM" thing has to go! I am NOT old enough and I am sure I will eventually do things you wouldnt want your mother to do

I really wish I could. That is the beginning of Spring Break around here and there is no way I can do it. We are going to be short staffed as it is.

You are exactly right, Rick. Somehow, all hell broke loose and things went to hell in a hand basket. Just a year ago, we were just returning from a fabulous time in Florida. What a difference a year makes, huh?

Unfortunately, some friendships have been strained to the point of breaking. Others may be salvagable, and yet others are stronger than ever. What will happen? IDK. I am hopeful that the bullshit will stop, however. I don't hate anyone here either. Hate takes too much energy, and I'd rather focus that energy on good things, like spending time with my family and friends, or hanging here or on other sites with people that make me happy.

Whatever happens, MR should not be the place for airing out dirty laundry and rehashing old feuds or creating new ones. I will do my part to refrain from doing that, I simply ask that others do the same. Those of you that are going to Vegas next month, I hope you have a great time.

I'm really glad I have no idea what any of this is about. I think I'd be sad about it if I did. Please, nobody feel obligated to fill me in. There are some circumstances (not regarding our government) wherein ignorance is bliss.

You know what it is Sherrie? It's just stupid. It's a bunch of "Us against Them".

A bunch of this person said this and that person said that. Trivial bullshit.
