Thank you for such EXCITING NEWS!!!! Steve Perry is such a phenomenal singer! He has such a tremendous way of making an audience feel the emotions in his songs. He gets the audience involved and they love it!! He is such a great man and I can't wait until he sees us again! I want to express my thoughts about HH interview. What is Herbie Herbert afraid of, COMPETITION!!!! Why would you put down anyone that you haven't seen in years? I'll tell you why, because HH knows that Steve Perry still has what it takes to be successful and it's not Herbie. Why would anyone want to go back to a band where you feel abused? HH praises the rest of the Journey members, but not Steve. Why? Steve Perry is still a force to be heard from!! For starters, Steve Perry's mother, Mary, would NOT have been at any Journey concert without STEVE PERRY!! Mary loved her son, and if Steve wasn't there, why would she be there. What, to see someone imitating her son? She had the real thing. SECOND: As I recall, Steve Perry wanted to sing more R&B sound. It's not that Steve can't sing that way, he chooses not to. Steve Perry can and could ROCK THE HOUSE DOWN!! How do I know this, I have proof!! Steve blew the roof off in 1994!!! In his mid 40's. Not only did he sound phenomenal, but Steve was on FIRE! This concert was HOT, STEAMING, SEXY, and the VOCALS were spectacular!! He sounded like he did in the 80's. THIRD: HH mentions Lincoln Brewster, lead guartarist. Lincoln Brewster, man he can rock!! He can make his guitar sing like there is no tomorrow! On this dvd, he is amazing!! Lincoln has his own band now and man, does he draw in the crowds! Lincoln praises Steve and his abilities! FOURTH: Paul Taylor, keyboards, has praised Steve Perry! Paul Taylor is just as talented. He can play electric guitar and keyboards and is simply outstanding. FIFTH: Todd Jenson, bass player, can make you feel the beat to every song. SIXTH: Moyes Lucas, drummer, is really terrific. SEVENTH: Trial By Fire was totally on FIRE!! The emotion, the words, the depth of this cd is heartfelt!! This cd has so many great songs that he brings to life! To mention a couple, When You Love A Woman was what every woman wants and wants every man to feel!! When I Think Of You, such emotion because it's about Mary, Steve's Mom and the the emotions you go through when God shows you that she's ok and she's young and beautiful like you should remember her. Thank you, Steve, because I went through the same thing when I lost my mother when I was young. God showed me a similar dream so that I would know that my mother was ok and able to walk and run. That is such a heartfelt song. This man, Steve Perry, is very gifted and talented and no one can take that away from him. LAST, but not least: I have heard Steve Perry sing recently and he sends chills up and down my spine!!! The strong, husky, manly voice is still the best I've ever heard!!! And from what Ive heard, Steve is coming out with new material!! Way to go, Steve!! HH interview doesn't carry a lot of value because Steve can still shine, and yes at the age of 59!! I would pay $200+ to see Steve Perry and to hear him sing. You couldn't give me tickets to see Journey because I want to hear the real Steve, not an imitation. Good luck, Steve. And when you need her strength, close your eyes and think of her. You are amazing! :D

I thiought I was the only one, and just chalked it up to me not having read Lora and Cyndy's rebuttal closely enough so I didn't weigh in.

PS: absolutely no disrespect inteded to Steve or Mrs Perry and her memory, it's just that whole paragraph.

Welcome!

Sure you'll be fascinated on my take on Lora/Cyndy statement since no one asked. :P :P

Herbie was basically fired by SP = not a fan of SP.

I still don't care for Herbie; however, I think he might be right about some things.

Lora and Cyndy are still friends and employees of SP.

Lora and Cyndy appear not to be friends or employees of the current Journey.

I don't trust statements by publicists (sp?), employees, or friends of a person.

I still want to learn more about SP and hear more music of SP. I'm not a SP "loon" though. :P  .

That last "if you walk like a lady..talk like a lady..etc..." wasn't a diss, was it? It's hard to tell without vocal inflection.
