Apparently, you guys have not read HH interview or you would know that what I have written is in response to HH. For a man to know all about Steve, Herbie knows very little. For HH to talk about someone he hasn't seen since 1991, and now HH giving an interview? For what? HH is taking cheap shots at Steve. Why? Who's the biggest competition for Journey? Steve!!! Why was Lincoln's name mentioned? Could it be, he's being compared to Neal? Why would Mary go see Kevin Chalfant, in Journey? She wouldn't!!

HH was the one that brought up in his interview that when Kevin was with Journey, that "Not even Steve's mother would have missed him in the band." Herbie brought this up! This tells you the lengths HH will go to to take cheap shots at Steve. Why else would HH say this?

I think it was just his poor way of saying how much he thought Kevin sounded like SP...

Not defending HH, mind you.

I think the timing of the interview was most definitely calculated to answer the "where's SP” questions as they launch with Arnel. I've seen many, many articles and blogs that site and quote the HH interview as a way to move past SP and accept Arnel. Sort of - 'SP was an ass, so of course they had to move on…'

yeah, old news, blah, blah....

still pisses me off when I see people quoting it, though... :lol:

I'll say it before and I'll say it again: When I read both Herbie interviews, I immediately got the impression that a) Steve Perry was an asshole and b) that Herbie Herbert was an asshole and this was a case of two assholes not getting along.

Don't know either personally so it's not fair to really judge. However, Herbie has come across as just as much of a prick in just about every interview I've seen or read.
