An appreciation of Jonathan Cain?

Hmm, what can I say that's nice about him. Two things actually.................

1) His piano playing on "Still She Cries" from the Trial By Fire album is beautiful. It's on every compilation CD I make.
2) His 'air piano' playing on the Separate Ways video is probably the best comedy moment ever.

There you go.

The keyboard up on the corrugated metal and the look on his face at the same time is just as good if not better.

I should post my captioned Separate Ways video shots, but they're the exact opposite of "Cain Appreciation".
(actually, I think everyone but Smith got roasted in those, so it's not a total Cain free-for all)
So I won't post them in this thread. But I ruined a few monitors for people with it on Frank's old site, I'm told.

He also was nice enough back in 1986 to autograph (and get Steve and Neal to autograph) a studio copy of ROR after I took care of someone who worked at Nightmare/Nocturne or whatever it was called back then. They were basically paragraphs! Still one of my prized possessions.

He also did a meet-and-greet with us prior to the Generations concert at the Concord Pavillion and here's my proof (I posted this last year):

And that's all I got to say 'bout that!
Nice picts, could you insert {pardon the words} my Aviatar in there it would mean so much to me

This is true, I also ruptured my spleen from laughing so hard.

Another Jonathan Cain Moment: when he looks up at the camera in the "Chain Reaction" video and shakes his fist! Whadda man! :D That's almost as good as Steve trying not to laugh at the "bar" or when he pushes Neal on his butt!

Gee, we have MTV and VH1, how about JRNYTv - all Journey videos, all the time!

And don't forget the endless hours of mirth he gave us with that outfit he wore [while playing keytar] on the ROR tour.
I know 80's clothes were crazy, but that outfit beats all.

Thanks for the laughs JC. 8)

Ohhhhh that's right - I think did that one too, didn't I?
I think I have about 4 or 5 of those... I know for sure I did After the Fall because I can't resist roasting that one.

When Neal make that joke about finally spending over $5 on a video, his ass wasn't kidding.

You have GOT to post them here, all in their own thread! :D

In fact, after the JSS show last June in Redwood City, my friend and I came back to my house and I was showing her the photoshops - my sides were hurting we were laughing so hard!

Well I didn't repost them on TMS because of our 'no journey bashing' rule, but since that kind of went to hell, I'll haul them out again.

I'll put them up on TMS later and then link, since I have permission (and since I'm a dang mod...lol!)
I'm trying to be cool and not get Andrew in trouble. Some of those are pretty bad.
