The only one to argue against that is Steve himself. He has stated numerous times " I am not part of Journey and I haven't been since 1998. I get what you are saying but you don't have to shoot the horse just because the rider doesn't want to take him out anymore and you don't have to change the Horse's name either just because he has a new rider.

All I did was state a quote by JSS.

This is the same JSS that ACTUALLY was in the band that calls themselves 'Journey'.

It was a EXACT quote that I made here years ago. Even before tapegate, and the joke that was Generations.

I also stated on an earlier 'Assembly Line' that I LOVED the new CD. I think I titled that 'Assembly Line' 'New CD'.

As for the hit and run???????

I am more of a big inning kind of guy!!!!!!

Much as i am a fan of Jeff - he isnt exactly over enamoured with the band right now - whereas Perry has never done him any harm so its not exactly a huge surprise to hear him say this. He was and is a huge Perry fan, not so convinced he is still a Journey fan......

if jeff truly felt journey was steve perry, he would have never joined the band and collect a check from the fraud of those guys playing steves songs, who do they think they are doing that
they didnt write those songs, they were nothing before him,and nothing after
steve sold millions of records before he met them,and billions without them.

maybe neal made steve what hes is and not the other way around, get off the crack

That's why I HAVE to think he was talking about battling a certain stigma or stereotype that he didn't subscribe to and wanted to conquer. He admits as much about 3 lines later when he allows that Journey pulled it off w/ Pineda.

I'd be inclined to agree that the voice of Journey, as far as the vast majority of fans are concerned, is Steve Perry, but as far as Steve Perry being Journey, Soto's off his rocker...only if that's what he meant.
