So, while so many are reading, may I take this moment to plug the new Rick Springfield release Venus In Overdrive. Take note the Angelmilk Records version is a regular jewel case and adds the rocking bonus track Who Killed Rock N Roll.

International orders can be placed via: http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=837250

I should have said "physical appearance" apparently. My bad. His clothes were ridiculous and I apologized to the man when he said Journey had a consultant dress him. Scratch that one of your list.

It's all subjective, I didn't see anything wrong with what he was wearing. Jeans/cargo pants and shirt? What of? Besides you preach that it's all about the music and only the music, what the hell do you care what he is wearing? :?

Saint John wrote: His "moves" seem scripted to me. That's neither a cheap shot nor a personal attack. Scratch that one off of your list as well. And I can't stand when Arnel throws the fucking mic in the air, either. It's dumb.

Again disagree, JSS stage presence comes off as a hell of a lot more natural than 90% of the other frontmen out there. I think he's just feelin it......looses himself in the music. Maybe it's his latin heritage, who knows. And thats cool. I luv JBJ but his moves IMO can look scripted, he looks like he's trying to hard......and i agree Arnel's just come across goofy.

Saint John wrote: I've never said a word about the man's hair in a negative light. He has a full head of hair that most 40 year olds would die for. Nice try. I commented on the way he runs his hands through it every 10 seconds...just as annoying as Arnel saying "Eh!!!" and "Come on!!!" every 20 seconds throughout his first few shows.

Lastly, if the man sweats he sweats. I never commented on that. It was the "sweat tosses" that I found to be somewhat odd. In other words, the need to actually propel your sweat in a given direction. Seems a bit pointless to me.

Lots of rock singers with long hair toss their hair out of their eyes? So he sweats? For someone who says it's all about the music, you sure have given this a lot of thought.

Dan, chicks dig rockstars just like dudes dig their sports heros. Fact. Let it go.

Tell me ONE spinoff board I created , while I was pissed at Andrew? Its funny how you can throw in bullshit like this left and right without any facts.

lol...you were gauging interest awhile back when you thought Andrew was unfairly picking on you when you were nibbling at Jeremey's pant leg like a poodle would the fucking mailman. WTF, while ultimately a spun as a board to reinvite Deano, was a spinoff due to frustration at being told that your posts here have to make sense.  Spin away. I won't be commenting further because I've seen how you have a penchant for stalking posters when your meds run out and we are at the end of the month.

My question remains who dressed him South Bend. That was the show, I grabbed my wallet and dove behind a row of seats. I didn't think he was that poorly dressed in Journey.

Not wanting to bash anyone here but I too have mentioned this on a variety of occasions in the past. It does all feel a little hackneyed at times but then maybe Jeff's stage presence is so much his own that it quickly becomes apparent when moves are repeated. Hey, they are his moves I guess. It reminds me a little of how Rob Halford repeats the same moves over and over in concert these days, almost like choreography but rather than feeling the music he just comes off as going through the motions and being distant - a criticism that could certainly never be leveled at JSS.

While we are commenting on people's appearance, I'd just like to say that Rick Springfield looks really well for his age. In fact he looks pretty hot!

yep,,, But that was never created a)while pissed at Drew or b)to compete with this place
Its not MY forum. It started as a forum for Dean,,,, but its the people's forum. But of course your boyfriend had to put his own delusional spin to it and think that I used that cause Andrew didnt like what I said to Jeremey. JRM and I burried the hatchet LONG before WTF was created,,, and matter of fact he is a member over there,,,,

Man this was an entertaining read, sucks I was away and didn't get to participate.

Cheyenne had a killer post.... great job Chey, I gave you the "rock horns" over here....

It all comes down to this for me: I love Journey's music and have bought their album. I love Jeff Scott Soto's music and will buy his new album. I don't care how many units either have moved, they're both quality artists that tickle my musical fancy in a way not many others can. All I know is, I will be moving at least one unit for both.

JSS is not the messiah, but he's a great singer and performer who deserves a little more due. Look forward to him collaborating with Lukather as well.

I would like to compare Jeff to Perry or any other singer in this Journey section of the forum if the mood takes me, because it is human nature to compare. Why is that a problem?
If discussions are kept courteous and are not baiting, and other people's opinion's are respected, why is it even an issue? Just because SJ and Tito say so?

Also, even if Jeff was only Journey's singer for one week, he was still a member of Journey. Therefore discussion about him is not off topic in this forum - in my opinion.

If anything is to be outlawed I think it should be shit stirring. Veiled or otherwise.

THIS is post of the year! :)

POST OF THE WEEK!!!!!!!

AMEN!!!!

Pity the rest of the post was just another heated rambling from yet another JSS fan (likely female with I love JSS/JSS Rocks or God forbid the prerequisite 'Me and JSS' picture in their avatar) punching keys two forums above their weight. It's not as much about the music as some peoples need to defend 'their man' against any form of criticism. Its getting really old fast as pretty much every interesting topic inevitably turns into a thread about JSS which then seems to turn everything sour.

Now I like JSS and DO think some of the criticism is often unnecessary and repeated ad nauseam. Its just that everything is getting to be very predictable and I'm no Nostradamus!

Hey, I took that picture! :D I may not be Ansel Adams, but I thought it turned out rather well. As for my avatar, it's the best picture I've taken in 51 years (sad, I know) so I am darn well gonna use it as my avatar! 8) In fact, when I need a pic where it needs to be just me, I crop Jeff out!

There are some pretty gorgeous ladies running around here with SA in their avatar, too!
