I'd really like a photo of SP hugging my "M"....can you do that BJG????

Actually I probably can! Will have to be later on, as I'm presently and unhappily away from my photoshop. But that should be easy.

BJG, Does Steve have a little a tan going on there, or were you brushing a smudge off of his belt buckle?

Whoa! :D

Well, you got to admit, he looks like very pleased about something. :D

"Mr. Big"... the ultimate oxymoron name.  :P

 LOL, ya not one of your better band names.

Pretty bad when you have to rip off Happy Days for your band name. :D

Awww... Carrie + Big = <3

Funny, Big looks nothing like Eric Martin though... in fact, Sarah Jessica Parker strikes a closer resemblance to EM. :P

Deen-O had food poisioning and wasn't with the band...so JSS sang it all and nailed all the ballads. A great, great show...

POST OF THE WEEK!!!!!!!

AMEN!!!!

Pity the rest of the post was just another heated rambling from yet another JSS fan (likely female with I love JSS/JSS Rocks or God forbid the prerequisite 'Me and JSS' picture in their avatar) punching keys two forums above their weight. It's not as much about the music as some peoples need to defend 'their man' against any form of criticism. Its getting really old fast as pretty much every interesting topic inevitably turns into a thread about JSS which then seems to turn everything sour.

Now I like JSS and DO think some of the criticism is often unnecessary and repeated ad nauseam. Its just that everything is getting to be very predictable and I'm no Nostradamus!

Hey, I took that picture! :D I may not be Ansel Adams, but I thought it turned out rather well. As for my avatar, it's the best picture I've taken in 51 years (sad, I know) so I am darn well gonna use it as my avatar! 8) In fact, when I need a pic where it needs to be just me, I crop Jeff out!

There are some pretty gorgeous ladies running around here with SA in their avatar, too!

Hey, Andrew's back!!!

you got it!
That's it
When something touches you so deeply
you can transcend

Kim, You're avatar is truly beautiful
An eternal moment for you to rememebr
When you're in that space
& the world fades into the distance
everything around you becomes soft like a breeze
a smile just fills you & for that moment you see that inner glow.

You were just so happy & time melts away
leaving just for a second that glimpse of who you truly are.

That is true of song
That is the mystery
that is what we seek
that feeling the music gives us
where it takes us
how it allows us to be free
even for just a few minutes....

We all find it in different ways
music is one very pure way
& it is good
& it matters not how we look or the clothes we wear.
If you think like that
then you are missing the true beauty

In defense of the ladies with JSS in their avitar, why is this a problem for you? We choose what we want for our avitar as a personal thing. I never seen JSS in concert so I remain neutral where he is concerned. But I really think it is funny how people are attacked for likeing the musician they like. Isn't music a personal choice of expression? I say ignore it ladies, the avitars are nice!

That's avatar. Don't you have some frogs to go 'paint'?

So it means I must hate Perry now because I got old SA over in my avatar...
I agree with artist... who gives a shit what's in a person's avatar. Its relative to nothing. How about next week I'll have Steve Perry punching a kitten (for those of you following the Sony Fight in the other thread). So there.

Your avatar actually makes a refreshing change. No-one was being bashed (by me) for their choice of avatar I just called something as I saw it. Obviously I am really upset about not being part of the JSS avatar clan...yet!

I agree, SA doesn't deserve all the bad press
After all he sacificed his voice for Journey
seems a pretty high price to me but hope it was worth it for him. wishing him the best.

Hey, Gunbot

Thanks for being one of the soldiers with me who watched over Paladinos parking lot & for shoving me into JSS so that I too could have a pic with him!

I am too, but I'm so short that the avatar would just be JSS... I'd be out of the frame.
Or I'd have to stand on a box. Or just meet the shorter singers... I can check one off the list!!... Now, I believe there's another Steve running around somewhere that I need to meet. :D

Memories are overrated.
Remember when one sense is diminished
another becomes stronger.
I've never been one to look back
I have always been so far ahead of myself
that I have missed the present.
A little of each is ok
I suppose balance is the key
something some of us struggle with daily
I'm more of an all or nothing person
didn't see much in between
either everywhere or nowhere

Now I long to just be...

Don't you already do enough playing by yourself when it comes to EM?

Hey, once ya go Mr Big.....  :P

"Mr. Big"... the ultimate oxymoron name.  :P

 LOL, ya not one of your better band names.

Pretty bad when you have to rip off Happy Days for your band name. :D

Happy Days? I watched that show, I don't remember a Mr Big though. :? Are you sure you're not thinking of Sex And The City? :P

Sex and the City? Why would I watch that? Sarah Jessica Parker? She looks like a fun house mirror with feet!
Mr Big was a fake crime boss played by Richie (I think) to scare off a gang or something.

You ACTUALLY remember that? I thought I was old!  I saw those shows and can't remember hardly anything about them!

How old are you? I'm 35.

I'm 45! I'm at the age where memory starts failing you! But you still like having fun!

Memories are overrated.
Remember when one sense is diminished
another becomes stronger.
I've never been one to look back
I have always been so far ahead of myself
that I have missed the present.
A little of each is ok
I suppose balance is the key
something some of us struggle with daily
I'm more of an all or nothing person
don't see much in between
either everywhere or nowhere

We have to just try to learn to be

:?:

Thanks Yoda!

You are right about that, it's nice to see S.A. in a positve light once in while when it comes to this board.

I concur - Gunbot is a hell of a nice guy! :D
