Palin would be an excellent choice. Newsworthy, appeal to women.....I'm hoping.

The last 8 years has also been very good to me.

History will look back and have a much different view of George W. Bush than myopic liberals who only see things in the shortest term possible.

You're calling me a retard and then telling me how brilliant Bush is??? Image I think you've just proved your credibility. George Bush is a fucking incompetent moron, who can't put an English sentence together! Aside from his single digit IQ, he has run this country into the ground, in a way that hasn't been done by another president, in my lifetime!

Ummmm....Should I point out that RVR did NOT say that Bush was brilliant.

BTW, have you ever heard Obama speak when he is not reading from a teleprompter or giving a prepared message? He isn't all that well spoken then, either.

Where did you see it is not going to be Romney? I have been looking and seen nothing to that effect, or rather nothing either way.

You're absolutely correct, Dave. He didn't say he was brilliant (thank goodness). He did suggest that history would view Bush as a "great" president. There are no words to express just how ridiculous that is. I know you're also a Bush diehard, so understand where you're coming from. I simply will NEVER understand how anyone can defend anything about this guy!

What else is the staffer gonna say. hes been threatened within a inch of his life to say NOTHING else but the fact that shes in Alaska and is going to the state fair to have photographs with the winner of the 2008 Prettiest Moose Breeding Contest, blah blah blah.

dunno whats the point of speculating everyones gonna know in two hours anyway.

Bush diehard??? Are you kidding me?

Let's see what issues I have MAJOR disagreements and/or disappointments with him on...Overspending, illegal immigration, failure to use the veto pen on MANY occasions, failure to properly run the war in Iraq, the Medicare prescription drug program, etc. I am no Bush fan and I've voice my opinions on most of these issues several times on this board. Do I think history will view him more favorably than he is currently being viewed. Yes, but I don't have any delusions of grandeur as far as his supposed greatness.

I am actually liking this choice from what I've read about her so far and it's also a good political move, in my opinion. She is slightly younger than Obama and a woman, which I think will give McCain a slight boost, especially since it's very possible McCain might not run for President again.

That sounds Republican to me. How would you like to have worked your ass off and got taxed like a motherf-cker. It would piss me off.

Stu, you're a smart guy, and I respect your opinions. I think you're one of four people, however, in the entire world who actually believes that.

Really? Four different groups of people have been arrested for plotting to murder Obama.

How many tree-huggers have been arrested for plotting to assassinate McCain?

Come on.

They were not a credible threat. Look and listen to them.
