OT: Poor Hillary....

Postby texafana » Thu Sep 04, 2008 8:21 pm

Hillary has to be shiting her pants right now after last nights performance from Sarah Palin.

She speaks much better than Hillary, She's much hotter looking than Hillary, She's on the ticket, Hillary is not.

Hillary had all this "girl power" thing going on, but now someone else gets to milk it, perhaps all the way to the White House, you KNOW this has to be pissing Hillary off.

She's such an empty vessel that she's ratted out corruption in her own party in Alaska, defeated imcumbent mayors and governors, created a surplus in Alaska's government, and become the most popular governor in the entire country with her own people at an almost 80% approval rating. Empty vessel?

PC, I agree with all points, but isn't the approval rating a bit misleading? There's , what, like 20 people in Alaska? (OK, I'm being facetious, but you get my drift.) I suppose it's still kinda impressive, but...

No, it's not misleading. There are about 700,000 people in Alaska and the population there has been going up (by nearly 7% since 2001).

I am amazed at just how partisan politics are. All the Republicans are saying how "great" Palin was. I watched her entire speech and thought she looked uncomfortable, at times, and didn't really talk a whole lot about anything that really mattered (aside from touching briefly on the energy crisis). Most of her speech was about how wonderful that old, over the hill fuck, McCain is. I don't care for Palin anymore than I do Biden. I'm not sure which one of them is more annoying. I guess by virtue of being heterosexual, I'd rather look at Palin. I'm just not buying into this nonsense "She has more executive experience than anyone in the face". While it's technically true, by default...she has about as much experience as Obama has! God, I hate this election. I am still stunned that this is the best America could come up with! I feel like it's 1976 all over again, and our choice is Carter or Ford! This is ugly!

Which makes it smaller than the top ten cities in America, and about the size of Boston (which is not huge, for a major city)! Not a lot of people, considering that it's the largest state in the country!

She probably looked uncomfortable at times because her teleprompter was out (for at least some of the speech).

Here's one story. I actually heard it all over MSNBC last night and this morning. Not sure if Fox or CNN covered it this morning. I know they didn't last night.

For those too lazy to click on the link...

Halfway through Sarah Palin's speech tonight at the RNC, people following the speech noticed she was deviating from the prepared text.

According to sources close to the McCain campaign, the teleprompter continued scrolling during applause breaks. As a result, half way through the speech, the speech had scrolled significantly from where Governor Palin was in the speech. The malfunction also occurred during Rudy Giuliani's speech, explaining his significant deviations from his speech.

Unfazed, Governor Palin continued, from memory, to deliver her speech without the teleprompter cued to the appropriate point in her speech.

Contrast this to Barack Obama who, when last his teleprompter malfunctioned, was left stuttering before a crowd unable to advance his speech until the problem was resolved.

Sarah Palin. Winner.

Absolute hogwash.

Palin has more executive experience than McCain, Biden and Obama combined. Period. Running a state TRUMPS any experience Obama had as a social worker.

But even so, executive experience running a state that borders two other countries, is a hotbed for political energy discussion and has a host of problems that any other state in the continental US doesn't even begin to understand.....the fact still remains that Obama's voting record is one of the most sparse voting records ever.

That's precisely the reason the democrat party picked him. They wanted a candidate that was charismatic, with ZERO longterm political record (so that the republicans couldn't antagonize a long list of flip-flop voting.....the calling card of a true dem)...that's exactly what they got. The got a face with something like 144 days of actual time in office (with more present votes than up/down votes, WTF is that?!).

The democrats are hoping they can do the bill clinton thing again, and pull the wool over the eyes of dumb people in america with a "celebrity" who has zero actual experience and a barely legible voting record. The difference they are failing to recognize is that Bill Clinton actually HAD executive experience.

*I* (and probably half the people here) have more decission making experience than Obama....why on earth would anyone vote for him?

Standards have obviously been lowered after so many years of sh!t. It appears there are many people mistaking a shard of glass for a diamond and I hope none of the cuts that are received in the process prove unrepairable.

If you're going to make an accusation that Palin is an empty vessel don't you think the burden of proof is on you to show that she is? I've pointed out that it appears she is NOT an empty vessel. Where's the supporting evidence for your case?

I hear she knows how to handle a gun and has ratted out corrupted officials in her home town.
Maybe we can send her to the caves in Afghanistan with some ammo and maybe she can rat out a certain terrorist hiding there.

Hillary couldn't do that. Not in that orange pantsuit anyway.

A quick comparison:

Sarah Palin: Inspired about 10,000 boners in the first five minutes of her speech

Hilary Clinton: Last inspired a boner 10,000 days ago (and I think that might have been Stevie Wonder)

The difference is that clear! The facts might be HARD for you lefties to acknowledge, but try to swallow it anyway.

Did any of those guys with boners actually listen to her though?
Or were they busy comparing her slim ankles to Hillary's not so slim ones, and checking out her fabulous cheek bones etc?
'cause that's what you guys look at isn't it?

I was just thinking, if she had on that orange pant suit she'd have made it look ok.
