To be fair, he has gotten crucified for saying that.

I don't deny he's done and said stupid things. So has McCain. They all have. She has already used her yearly allotment in two weeks, however.

Actually, i should rephrase what I said initially. Religion & politics mixing to the extent they are now is what's truly scary. Religion should have NO influence on politics whatsoever.

Anyway, you obviously don't get what I'm trying to say....

RELIGION + POLITICS = BAD. (ends up becoming a whole lot of alienating those with other, sometimes conflicting beliefs, also... can get very bad, and has gotten very bad, thus this mixing should not take place!!!!)

Well like it or not. Religion/morality/right & wrong whatever you want to call it will never be removed from electing a leader. How could it?

Yeah, it hasn't yielded the best results in Iran or Albania. Also, it didn't work too well the first five thousand or so years of human civilization. Don't foget, more people were murdered during the five Crusades than in the rest of the wars combined in the world up to WWII.

Very simple. People could use reason, rather than belief. What is actually best for the country, rather than what their beliefs tell them is best for the country. The two can coexist, believe it or not. However, I do see your point, as entirely too many out there have absolutely no ability to separate the two.

Well, luckily our founding fathers wrote about God in those documents which prevents you being forced to believe anything. It's totally up to you. Likewise they (including Palin) are free to believe what they believe. This is 180' from terrorist nations.....and it's Palin you fear?

I fear Palin because she's not afraid to impose her beliefs on others. And I believe that separation of church and state SHOULD prevent that from happening!!!

The Crusades were how long ago????? Yes, and if I recall correctly they were led by the United States while waving our founding documents. Very astute 7 wishes.

1st of all the "separation" is NOWHERE in our Constitution. What examples do you have of Palin of "imposing her beliefs on others?"
The north imposed their beliefs on the south, because they believed slavery was wrong and a sin against God. Should the north have butted out there too?

The Constitution did not ban slavery. It made a provision for it to achieve a unanimous vote FOR independence.

I will enjoy watching her crash and burn in the debates.

Ms. Palin...here's your mouth. Please insert your foot here.

Tens of thousands of brilliant, more qualified women out there, and McCain will rue the day he went with Palin.

 You are looking through rose colored glasses of the worst sort. To be honest, I wasn't sure I was even voting for McCain. I wouldn't have if he'd picked Lieberman. His pick of Palin was genius. Check mate. Obama and Biden are imploding, just wait til the debates start.
