McCain is a good man. He will serve well and help turn the country in the right direction if elected.

Dude, I've been saying this all along.

I have NO problem with McCain.

Palin is a DISASTER.

I have a HUGE problem with his Rovian troglodytes and their campaign of mass distraction.

I don't think for a MINUTE McCain would have contrived the debate cancellation for political reasons. If it was his idea, I think he was shooting from the hip and being sincere. However, if the decision came from campaign managers, then that theory is dubious at best.

Let's just hope that if the old fuck gets elected that he doesn't croak! If McCain croaks, we are soooo fucked, as a country! Puppet Palin has ZERO shot of running this country. I just watched more of her interview with Katie Couric and am beyond stunned. Couric asked the Puppet about her foreign policy credentials, and this dopey broad actually replied with "well Putin flies through our airspace, so we're required to be on alert". WTF!!!!! Is this chick serious?? I cannot believe she gave this as an answer. Isn't Putin not even running Russia any longer?? Well, I mean he appears to still be running it, but he is no longer the president, right??

I take back everything I said about McCain being a jackass for the gag order he put on Puppet Palin! McCain is FAR more intelligent than I gave him credit for. The fewer sentences this dope attempts to put together, the better off his campaign will be. I wouldn't be surprised if McCain's poll numbers go down after every interview that Palin does (which I think at this point, it might be up to a whopping 3)! I am STUNNED that there are actually people who believe this woman is the right person on this ticket! She is a complete jackass! I can be convinced that McCain could do a good job as President. I will NEVER be convinced that Palin has any right even being allowed in The White House!

No he's not the President anymore. While he was President he created a position that has no term or time limit. No telling what powers he has. What would you think if Bush did the same in this country? Sounds to me like Palin and the rest of the US should be very cautious of Russia's "democracy".

A couple of points here...I never claimed all southerners were bigots. What I have said is that I encountered FAR more racism in the south than in any other part of this country I have visted, and stand by that statement! As for my "insulting and sexist comments" about Puppet Palin...Give me a break with that bullshit! The woman is semi fucking brain dead, and running for the second highest office in the land. She is fair game! If you actually think she's qualified to run our country, more power to you. I wouldn't elect the woman to run my file cabinet!

I'm not sure what this even has to do with a single thing that I said. Where in my post was I defending Putin? I have no fucking clue what that dude is doing in Russia, and so long as it doesn't affect this country (which I realize it could, at some point), I honestly don't give a shit what he's doing! I think Palin should be "very cautious" about opening her pie hole, because she sounds like a complete moron everytime she speaks! I never thought I'd say this, but I'll take W. over that chick!

I'd gladly match wits with that dope Palin, ANY DAY, Stu! You have a much higher opinion than I do. I honestly think the woman is frighteningly, intellectually challenged! I've had Republicans tell me for the past 8 years how brilliant W. is, and I'm still not buying it. I am willing to bet that there are a whole lot of people who are far less accomplished than W., who have higher IQ's, and I think he is even ahead of Puppet Palin, based on what I've heard, thusfar!

On another note, the AP is reporting that the bailout talks have broken down, so the plot thickens! Tomorrow night should be quite a scene if Obama is standing at a podium, and McCain is hanging out in DC!

The only problem with your argument is that "approval ratings" are being gathered from the same dopes who keep electing the same incompetent policians! Whether or not Puppet Palin qualifies as "dumb" or not, I have no idea. What I do know is that comes across as less than intelligent in her interviews, and has a very difficult time getting a single cogent thought out!

The hallmark of intelligence is a fastidious knowledge of detail, or in its absence the ability to engage in viable discourse.

She has displayed neither.

And your reasoning is flawed - do you seriously believe Schwartzenegger and Venture (both of whom enjoyed approval ratings in the high 60's at one point) are particularly intelligent? A lot of Alaskans voted with their penises.

Hmm...I disagree COMPLETELY.

I loved this one: [Katie Couric]: "Please provide SPECIFIC examples of when Senator McCain, in the past 26 years, has fought deregulation" (after Palin claimed her boss was a deregulator).

[Palin]: "I dunno, but I'll find out for ya and bring some examples back to ya."

Lula, you can catch the interview on the internet. They've posted both parts in different places. I was thinking the same thing, and Letterman and Leno are going to have a field day, and Saturday Night Live now has more material. P.S. I was talking about her slang, and in my post I misspelled "throughout."

If you were Biden, for instance, would you be able to come up with a specific example of a bill that Obama had supported that specifically fought deregulation? I bet he couldn't and I bed most politicians or anyone in this thread could come up with something like that on the spot.

I personally don't have a problem with the way Palin answered that question, because I don't think it's realistic for her to have those answers. I have a real problem with the woman actually saying that her foreign policy credentials are solid because Putin flies through Alaska's airspace. I'm not sure I've even heard W. give that moronic of an answer to a question, during his entire 8 years of running this country into the ground!

Nothing made me cringe more than watching her truck out the bad cliches. Talking about us being the 'Good Guys' and being against the 'Bad Guys' was too much for me to stomach. This is on top of the 'Im not sure, I'll have to get back to you' and the 'I live next to Putin, I'm qualified'. I was 100% in Palin's corner until Katie Cuntrag's interview. Sadly, the *only* think putting me in McPain's corner, was Palin.....with her unraveling by the second, I'm left with the "I'm not voting" option.

Stu, I agree with you....this "I'm stopping the campaign until I show I'm the leader no one thinks I am" crap with McPain is going to cost him the presidency......That, the problems with Palin....and the economy....will prevent McCain from keeping this election close. If the credit crunch gets worse, Obama will win in November in a landslide.

If you're gonna tout your party's candidate on national tv as a deregulator, or any specific title for that matter, you should have some instances to back it up.
That's not so hard.

McCain has tossed the election to Obama in the hopes of making this bill more equitable for US...that is you and me...the taxpayers.

Noble sentiment and all that, but it does mean that many people who have supported John McCain get to see all their hard for for the last 8 years go down the tubes.
