Who is Kathleen Parker and why should her opinion carry any weight?

LOL.... I wouldn't want to talk about the current debate going on right now if I were voting for Obama either. I like that Palin is not a polished up fake politician. She's a rookie on the national stage and it shows, but that doesn't negate her ability to get a job done.

i'll be honest and say i think mccain is leading this debate, but i don't feel threatened. there was no expectation that obama would take this, at least not from me. if barack beat john on foriegn policy i'd say the election was over. mccain better be stronger on this one, it's what he sells as his strong point.

Reaganomics failed...

Just as the Reagan "trickle down" economics of the current Bush administration have failed. Reagan's credit-card economy in the early 1980s created an initial boom, but then the bills came due.

By the late 1980s, middle-class incomes were barely higher than they had been a decade before; the poverty rate had actually risen...and the national debt had ballooned. This Reaganomics recession was the reason Bill Clinton captured the White House.

Bill Clinton declared in 1991 that..."The Reagan-Bush years have exalted private gain over public obligation, special interests over the common good, wealth and fame over work and family. The 1980s ushered in a Gilded Age of greed and selfishness, of irresponsibility and excess, and of neglect."

Clinton turned the floundering economy around. Even the Bush administration's own Council of Economic Advisers dates the beginning of the economic boom to 1993, during Clinton's first term.

Your party has repeated this economic lie so often that they seem to believe it themselves, even as we are again experiencing the economic failure that is Reaganomics from the Bush White House and Congress.... cut taxes for the wealthy and corporations with no thought to balancing the budget.

Credit-card Reaganomics, better known as RECESSION!
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

I hate to laugh, but this is hilarious, we're still giggling over it...but McCain is winning this debate.

I didn't hear that at all.
Besides, your party isn't above using anything as a prop, up to and including looped footage of the twin towers crumbling.
Nice of you to locate your easily-offended sensibilities in time for the debate tho.

I cant wait to read Fact Check .org 's review of this debate ! several cases of the candidates having different perspectives on the truth.

The post debate spin and media coverage will be interesting, but predictable.

BUSH 41 abandoned Reaganomics by raising taxes on a slowing economy

Clinton partially adopted Reaganomics by agreeing a capital gains tax cut in 96

Bust 43 made a half assed attempt at Reaganomics by adopting only Keynesian inspired demand side tax cuts and none on supply side activities which encourage capital formation and saving.

Reaganomics did not fail this country. Mee too half assed Republicans who forgot about Ronald Reagan the minute he left town killed us.

Yeh, Condi Rice, Bob Gates, and Colin Powell are in favor of the same thing.
Wanna laugh in their face, too?
Whether we negotiate through intermediaries or directly, what's the difference?
Like Bush, McCain is appealing to the billy beer chugging non-thinking American.

Of course mcCain is winning THIS debate...all he has is Iraq.

BTW...a Gallup poll recently conducted proved that only 9 PER CENT of the country (probably the gun-toting NRA troglodytes) believe Iraq and foreign policy is our primary concern. 52 PER CENT believe the #1 is the economy, stupid.

And twice as many people believe Obama is the better candidate to turn around the economy. That WILL NOT CHANGE before the next debate.

Obama will COMPLETELY DESTROY McCain when the Senator has to defend his failed economic policies.

So...whatever.

Obama has also been MUCH MORE concise and well-spoken.

Obama is much more articulate than I have seen him before.
I thought he lost every Dem debate, not the case here.

So it doesn't matter that he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, just that he is well spoken and concise.

No they are not !!!!all three of those people are for lower level contacts with IRan . Assistant secretary of state level and below, which allows diplomatic communication without giving the president of Iran a public relations coup.

Even this is dangerous, when we attened that meeting in Switzerland that Iran was at, they made statments to the press that they were now accepted fully by the world . THey will try to spin everything.

Anyone who thinks anything else doesnt understand diplomatic protocol

Matt,

do you believe McCains economic proposals offer significant movemnt back to Reaganomics compared to those of "Bust 43" ??? ( I like that nickname, by the way. )

Im truly trying to understand what it is McCain will change vs the Status Quo that will have a significant impact on the current economic mess.

Can you help a brother understand ?
