Rembember Kerry's advisor calling him Mr. President after the first exit polls were released? Then them wondering how the votes were suspect because they didn't match the polls?
I'd also like to refer to your Penguins over Red Wings Stanley Cup Finals prediction.

VP debate moderator Ifill releasing pro-Obama book
Focuses on blacks who are 'forging a bold new path to political power'

Gwen Ifill

The moderator of Thursday's vice-presidential debate is writing a book to come out about the time the next president takes the oath of office that aims to "shed new light" on Democratic candidate Barack Obama and other "emerging young African American politicians" who are "forging a bold new path to political power."

Gwen Ifill of the Public Broadcasting Service program "Washington Week" is promoting "The Breakthrough," in which she argues the "black political structure" of the civil rights movement is giving way to men and women who have benefited from the struggles over racial equality.

Ifill declined to return a WND telephone message asking for a comment about her book project and whether its success would be expected should Obama lose. But she has faced criticism previously for not treating candidates of both major parties the same.

Gee, what a surprise.

Sounds more like a book on black politicians than anything else.
I can see the conflict of interest, but at the same time, I can't understand how anyone who has watched Ifill would walk away saying she is anything less than a consumate and objective pro.

She has responded:

"I've got a pretty long track record covering politics and news, so I'm not particularly worried that one-day blog chatter is going to destroy my reputation. The proof is in the pudding. They can watch the debate tomorrow night and make their own decisions about whether or not I've done my job."

RedWingFan, don't remind me about that night. I went to bed happy, mission accomplished. Bush was out. I wanted him out enough to vote for Kerry. I woke up that next morning to the "horrific news" that sent me into a depression for two weeks, that Bush was re-elected and was going to be the President for the next four years.

The american public are so peripheral....

Buying a car because the commercial says it has more TRUNK SPACE....who cares if it is safe, efficient, or priced right....Hey, its got more trunk space!

Hey, Kerry spoke out about the war after he got out....who cares if he could actually run the country.....he spoke out about a war that he- himself participated in....let's not vote for him!

The only poll that matters is the one on November 4th...and I can't come out until I vote...so it will have to be the 4th or 5th.

I did the same thing! It was in the bag. I'm afraid that the same thing will happen again and I've lost faith in the system. It's such a bag of worms and everything that could go wrong, did. This time there will be so many more people voting and already they are saying that they expect new machines to malfunction.

I wonder if the history books will ever reveal how the last election was ripped off or even the one before. I could be wrong but just saying.....................

i work at a health food market & most if not all the employees are pretty lib... i'm in the middlle but i find myself leaning more & more to the right. a hippie right winger??? wtf? }:C)) i used to be far far left... thought reps were the anti-christ. anyway... one day at work one of our reps for a company we do business with was telling us all about his trip to iraq. he was saying how shocked he was to see children playing outside & going to school... happy kids. he also told us how when us troops drove by the people would cheer & wave. we are there for a reason... so those kids can play & go to school without fear. children everywhere should be able to have a childhood. what we see actually what the media shows us isn't always the whole truth.

Whirlwind, I live in Florida, so I really don't have much faith in the system between the Bush/Gore election fiasco and this Democratic primary where our votes did not count, and our Republican Governor (who is not gay) rushing to get engaged in the hopes of being named as McCain's VP pick. That state is in a mess with the mortgage crisis and home foreclosures, not enough money for the school system. He needed to be back here instead of courting McCain. (I voted for him, but his approval rating is going down.)

Deltha O'Neil got blasted while fielding a punt. Miller said, "Whoa, he got hit so hard it may have knocked the apostrophe off his jersey"

As sound a justification for interventionist war as ever spoken.
Carpetbomb their villages, kill their family, erect a McDonald’s playplace, and leave.

What few reporters have had the courage to go over there should be respected.
The proposition that embeded journalists are willing to risk their lives daily, yet somehow draw the line at getting their facts right is demeaning.
Tell it to Bob Woodruff in-between gauze dressing changes and psychotropic painkiller milkshakes.
Even State Department officials dreaded going over there...the media's diminishing coverage has subsided with citizen disinterest.

You have no clue what our soldiers do over there when they're not involved in a firefight or some kind of skirmish, do you? If you can show me where it's been U.S. policy to bomb and kill civilians, fine. Otherwise, quit spitting in the face of our military.

Have you even been following the campaigns, or are you one of the unamed "folks" the Loofah King claims to be looking out for nightly?
Starting with the Paris Hilton ad months ago, McCain's campaign has been one big box of dirty tricks.

The insinuation seemed to be that we just go willy-nilly in bombing villages full of innocents. Then on the way out the door, build a "McDonald's playplace" and everything's OK. If I misunderstood, then I withdraw the statement.

We are well aware of what the polls are saying. Remember also that in 2004 going into the election, Kerry was ahead in the polls. Regardless, at this point, I am resigned to Obama being elected, unfortunately, unless something major happens.

Well, Rovites will do ANYTHING to get their guy elected. The Dems don't have anyone like that.

The Rovites do not have a "take-no-prisoners" approach to campaigning. Rather, it's more like a "kill 'em all now, let god sort 'em out" philosophy.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives

If Bush did cheat in that debate, it was the worst job ever. That first debate was easily his worst of the three that year.

You're not very familiar with Democratic party tactics, are you? I've seen enough in local elections both here and in Pennsylvania and have heard enough from other areas of the country to know otherwise. Once again, it's something both parties excel at...Dirty politics.
