NO WAY. I know Treetop and I know her pets.

She is good people. <----- FACT.

It is OKAY to have differing opinions. <----- FACT.

And you are entitled to yours but I wanted to share a fact about her. She is a good person.

I need to second that!!! She is a very warm hearted person :D That's a bunch of crap to belittle someone's character because their opinions are different then yours

His argument was about her being an animal lover but finding it okay for Palin to pay money for someone to kill a wolf and bring her the severed paw. Just seems strange to say you love animals but think that's okay. i understand predator control but paying some one to bring you the severed paw seems sick.

You too need to go back a few pages and read... She attacked me out of nowhere and I took the attack as though she was belittling ME. I think she is a really good hockey fan and knows all about that so that is awesome.

fredinator wrote:Yes indeed I do take what people post here on a serious subject as indicative of their nature. And yes I do believe you are lecturing and posturing. That's okay, I understand your point a little. This is a good thread though and has gotten lots of people with different ideas to share them. Every now and then it has gone into the ditch but overall it's been pretty good. I just hope that you and the others defending Treetopskya aren't firing off a jillion PMs to Andrew because that would be a real shame.

I can assure you that I myself have not fired off a pm to Andrew ever. Not my style, and no need to do so.

Hey, I believe your comments to show you to be quick to judge and extremely intolerant of different points of view, but that's okay right? I mean, I certainly everyone can read emotions and intent in your comments. It's always clear isn't it? No one ever says something on a chat group that could be misconstrued or interpreted differently than what they intend.

I'd tell you that the few on this forum that know me would attest to how even keeled and tempered I am, but then what would that prove. As for a lot of people sharing different ideas...I really don't think so. I think it's by and large the same set of people with the occasional other person thrown in.

Now, before I go any farther, honestly, I've no axe to grind with you. And my intent isn't to lecture or posture (which comes across in a very negative light to me). My intent is to only say that no one here should make judgments about people that they don't know. I'm sure you have a great deal of conviction and character and I sense a strong desire to do what you believe right. Great qualities. Honestly.

Again...carry on.

Moon Beam, you only swoop into these threads and insult when you get the chance. Why don't you contribute to the discussion instead of making snide comments like the one above?

Sadie, I kind of respect what you are saying but if you have no axe to grind with me, please refrain from lecturing. My argument was with Tree over the slaughter of innocent animals among other ridiculous comments. You said how you felt, I read it, now you please carry on...

I don't have any sense you respect anyone's comments other than your own. Instead of commenting on what I or other people have pointed out, you choose to view this as lecturing. So be it. But, like you, I'll respond or comment as I see fit. Your right to do so does not preclude mine. Idiotic. You do like labels don't you?

i'm not a vegan... i wear vegan shoes. i love dairy... from happy cows! }:C))

fred... i get where you are coming from. i don't like it either. i married a meat eater... it's just something i have to live with. he eats meat (mostly when we go out cuz i won't cook it... at home it's tofu!)... i don't.

do you eat meat? do you have friends/family that eat meat? do you yell at them every time they do?

the reason i said people like you shouldn't be allowed to vote is because you don't seem to care about getting facts straight... not being informed. that to me is scary.

you did say wolf puppies... that would be a whole different story. }:C((

fredinator wrote:You don't think the comment re teachers giving students lessons on how to give a blow job is idiotic? That she is a veg head and vegan yet the slaughter of these creatures from the air is okay? Calls Obama Jobama (whatever that means). She likes animals more than people, wtf? Declared that people like me should not be able to vote yet had no clue what "Salon" meant considering the context of the previous posts where I did name it Salon.com...

So no lecturing please.

These wolves have no natural predators. Therefore, some sort of culling is necessary. Besides, conspicuous in its absence is the fact that the bounty on wolves in Alaska was instituted in 2003 - three years before Sarah Palin became governor!

Dan, how long did it take you to google that, lol?!? I stand behind my comments just like TNC and Dean in this thread did. There are fundamental differences between Dems and Republicans that no amount of debate will ever cure. I never have and never will be a Republican and I'm sure vice versa. Therefore, I am dropping the topic of wolf murder... Talking anymore about it will make me feel queasier anyway.

okie i looked further...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Governorship_of_Sarah_Palin#Predator_control

palin was not the one who wrote the program. it's been in effect since 1915, and is voted on every 2 years. alaskans just renewed the program for another 2 years. as governor she is supposed to approve what the voters want. remember this is not a complete extinction of wolves, it is a controlling of the population by a select number of hunters. the $150 bounty is to offset fuel costs of the hunters, and was suspended last year.

nothing in there about paws.

"Wolf murder" was never the topic. You (and PETA I'm sure!) seem to be the only one that sees it that way. I thought the topic here was whether or not it was humane. Because it is necessary.

Oh, for God's sake, lay off of PETA. They have done some good things. The fact that they care about animals and organized a group around that is pretty cool I think. I said "murder" because it seems like murder and I knew one of you all would come out and go ape over it, lol.

Palin is one crazy, stupid, hateful bitch.

There, I said it.

She, unlike Obama, has been indicted. She deserves everything she gets...

Hey, McCain...Whitman sounds better every day, huh?

I just watched Francona piss away the Sox' season by bringing in that 57-year-old loser knucklehead Timlin to lose the game against the Rays (nice ball-strike calls, BTW, umps - do you do Bar Mitzvahs too?). There was hockey tonight?
