Sorry BJG that picture of Steve belonged to the Perryville site and the owner asked me nicely to remove it. It is hard to know what is "allowed" or not, but if someone requests a picture to be removed I will gladly do so! Happy Birthday anyway!

Frank and SJ are right. As I said, those particular shots of perry have been on MR a lot. I strongly suspect the complaint was because they're in *this* thread, but who knows :roll:

Na, Kim...not because they are *in* your b'day thread. It's because those pics are special to me. They are my personal experience, a long with those other ladies, too. There are hundreds of SP pics that anyone could use to fix up accordingly. Not to metion they are copyrighted.

I can assure you I have no idea about copyright laws and my question was honest. So you can take a picture of someone and have it copyrighted without their permission? Or did he approve it? Or does it not matter?

I was in that video. It was shared to begin with and taken down as a tantrum. I never got a real copy, it was denied to me.

Were the pictures used by other members of your website without express written permission of yourself? (I somehow think that's a definite yes)....if another poster even *quoted* your thread where the picture was posted, and you didn't challenge the posting of such a use....then you were forfeiting certain rights to the copyright, if you ever even made a claim for a copyright with the library of congress in the first place. Otherwise, your copyright is simply stated and is extremely hard to prove, especially given the fact that the picture seems to have made the rounds at your site...but when it got here, you turned loon and got, well...loon.

Is such a copyright stated, clearly on the phone in either clear text or a watermark? (Of this, I don't know, I'm simply asking)...

the point I'm trying to make is that by sharing such an image in the first place without protecting your claim to copyright, you've really got no leg to stand on here....I'm sure anyone would comply with your wishes, and that's fine...I would do the same.

But it's still, kinda, a dicky thing to do...even for a loon. It's an innocent birthday thread for fucks sake. It's not a thread where someone's posting cut out shots of perry in compromising sexual posotions or whatever....
