SHE would choose life. she was asked a question & she answered... the exact same way i would... i would choose life. does that mean i'm going to force that belief on others? no.
in fact... she even said she wouldn't force her beliefs on others. so if you believe what she says believe that... or better question why won't you believe that?

after all i've heard palin say, and i'll admit to shaking my head often, i believe she means what she says. her stance on abortion does not suit me, nor does her stance on many issues.
i too choose life and i am also pro choice. my personal beliefs are my own and are only applicable to my life. as for palin, i'm going on her and mccain's stance and on what they have said- if given the opportunity they will overturn roe v wade. granted this would not necessarily outlaw abortion across the board as it could become a state issue, but without federal protection that could get ugly and create the awful back alley type of situations.
the goal should be to educate thoroughly and stop the ridiculously irresponsible women that don't prevent an unwanted pregnancy before it happens. but in protection of victims of rape, incest, and serious health risks that can be associated with pregnancy, as a civilized society women should be able to have the option and have it be medically safe and sound.
I have a question here... was the same thing said about GWB 8 years ago? He's pro-life, isn't he? I have yet to see any major talk of overturning Roe v Wade in the past 8 years. IMO it's an election-year topic that is used to garner fear in people. (Kinda like the war thing, I guess).
People want to know a candidates views on things to get an idea of what type of person they are. Had she not answered the question, she would've been labeled a 'dolt' or 'moron' (just for you, 7!

) and said she was too stupid to answer. Just because someone has feelings one way or another does NOT mean that they can force those feelings on the rest of the country, even if they
are the vice-president. It is my
opinion that no matter who is in the Oval Office, and no matter who makes up the Supreme Court, that Roe v Wade will NEVER be overturned. And it shouldn't be. However, I do feel that there are areas that can be much improved, and those things need to be looked at. Probably on a state level, though, IMO. In ALL cases, partial birth abortion should be BANNED. I also do not feel that the government should be paying for abortions.
On another note... I did watch McCain and Obama speak at the Alfred E. Smith dinner. It was hilarious! McCain was SPOT ON! If those performances were used to determine the presidency, it would be a slam dunk for Johnny! BO made some funny comments, too, but his timing wasn't the same, and he didn't have that self-deprecating humor that I find so great in people. The comments about Hillary and Bill were fabulous. She looked like she was having a ball with them, too. I wish we could see more of this kind of thing, and less of the bullshit. But hey, it's America, for better or worse.
