Have fun over yonder. Be safe.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Just like the straight "Christian" people that beat Matthew Shepard to death because he was gay.

Just like the assholes who beat up, RAPED, and shot Teena Brandon.

Because they both "deserved" what they got?

Do you have any idea how fucking SICK you are?

You're saying a teenage girl deserved to be beaten and deserved to be raped because she was different? She deserved to be killed? Matthew Shepard deserved to be murdered?? What happens when one of your friends or family members comes out? You gonna feel that way if someone close to you gets murdered just because of who they love? God that is some SICK TWISTED shit.

Alright, I retract my smart ass remark. I'm not familiar with Teena Brandon but am somewhat familiar with Matthew Sheppard since that story was shoved down are throats non stop (no jokes please). I just read on wikipedia the story to learn the whole story and from what I read it's not necessarily as clear cut as the media portrays. Anyway, the kid did NOT deserve to die. However, there also shouldn't be any special legislation for anyone i.e. hate crimes. The offenders should be tried and prosecuted under regular laws like anyone else. So, if this was a straight on straight murder there should be no difference in the punishment if this was straight on homo crime.

That being said, if Sheppard did make an advance to the guys, he probably did deserve at least one punch to face but not death.

The movie Boys Don't Cry with Hillary Swank is the Teena Brandon story and its a true story. When her homophobic friends (male) found out what she was, they both raped her and beat her up. Once she reported it, they hunted her down and shot her, and killed her (straight) friend just for being there with her.

You're more of a jackass, every time I read a post from you. Seriously, dude...go down south and join a KKK organization, because that's how ignorant you sound! To suggest that there should be no protected classes of people is simply stupid! When someone rapes a child, they're never charged with just rape, but the rape of a child, specifically. If someone is committing a crime against someone because of their race, religion, sexual orientation, etc., they should absolutely, positively, be charged with aggravated circumstances in the commission of the crime! Then again, I'm trying to reason with a dope who thinks Cain can sing!

So you're telling me if a white person kills a black person because they are black and a white person kills another white person randomly, the one who kills the black should get a harsher sentence than the one who committed the same crime against the person of the same race. Why?

What about the unfair distribution of hate crimes. How many times has their been a black on white crime, that was clearly committed because of their race, but not tried as a hate crime. All crimes are crimes of hate.

Why do I need to move down south? That's pretty slanderous and a stereotype. I would expect more from a tolerant person such as yourself. That's almost hate speech.

Also, here we go again. You disagree with me, so now I need to join the klan. Very openminded of you.

Blacks have been charged with hate crimes, most notably during the Los Angeles Riots. Most of their crimes against whites stem from simply murdering to commit robbery, race isn't a big factor in their actions. They kill asians, and hispanics for the same reasons, there just happen to be a ton of white people compared to the amount of minorities to choose from. They are closer to being class crimes if anything.

I actually knew that would be your comeback. My feelings about the racism in the south are well known on this board. That said, I was not suggesting that everyone in the south is a racist, because that is obviously not the case. My comment was based on nothing more than that the KKK has its roots in the south, and the fact that it's the only part of the country that I know of that actually has a KKK retail store (in South Carolina, to be specific)!

What I'm telling you is that you're beyond ignorant. Just because a black person kills a white person doesn't mean that they committed the crime because of race. You seem to believe that if two people are of a different persuasion that it automatically falls into the category of "hate crime". You have a lot to learn about the way crimes are classified!

Good God, Tito, come on. There's guidelines and criteria that have to be met to prosecute a case as a hate crime. The evidence is weighed as to what kind of charge applies. Not every black person killed by a white person is considered a hate crime or vice versa, et cetera. When the circumstances merit it, they use that charge. Use your brains.

I believe the Klan started in Indiana. And those Klan stores are no different than the FUBU clothing line(For Us By Us). I just can't tell whether I should be nauseated or puke when I see white kids wearing FUBU. :?

You don't have any room to be talking about other people engaging in slander and stereotyping after all the things you've said in this thread and others about gays, dude. And I was thinking the same thing before John posted it.

Saying that people deserve what they get if they're beaten up or killed for being gay IS hate and you do sound like the same people that are in organizations like the KKK. They go after blacks (or jews or whatever the group in question) for the same reason - they feel like they "deserve" it because they're different.

I guess it depends upon where you read. This article on the KKK constantly references the south as where the KKK has its roots. Regardless of which geographic location it started in, its wrath was felt mostly in the southern part of the U.S. As for your comments about FUBU being the same as the KKK retail store...I can see why you and Frito-Lay get along so well. You dudes share a fucking brain!

Actually no asshole. If you look at the hypothetical situation I stated I said the white person killed the black because he was black (because of his race). Why should the murderer of someone of the same races get less of a sentence. Is the victims life less important.

Yeah...the plaintiff has to be black and the defendant white. Here's a beauty and the result of the ensuing trial:

On April 29, 1992, at 5:39 PM, Denny loaded his red, 14-wheel truck with 27 tons of sand and began driving to a plant in Inglewood where the sand was due. He left the Santa Monica Freeway and took a familiar shortcut across Florence Avenue to get to his destination. His truck had no radio, so he was unaware he was driving into a riot. At 6:46 p.m., after entering the intersection at Normandie, rioters threw rocks at his windows and he heard people shouting for him to stop. Overhead, a news helicopter with reporter Bob Tur aboard captured the events that followed.

Antoine Miller opened the truck door, giving others the chance to pull Denny out. Another man, Henry Keith Watson, then held Denny's head down with his foot. Denny, who had done nothing to provoke the violence, was kicked in the stomach. A man who had led a liquor store break-in earlier that day hurled a five-pound piece of medical equipment at Denny's head and hit him three times with a claw hammer. Damian Williams then threw a slab of concrete at Denny's head and knocked him unconscious. Williams then did a victory dance over Denny. He then flashed gang signs at news helicopters, which were televising the events live, and pointed and laughed at Denny. Anthony Brown then spat on Denny and left with Williams. Several bystanders took pictures of Denny but did not attempt to help him.

After the beating, various men threw beer bottles at the unconscious Denny. Gary Williams approached Denny and rifled through his pockets. Lance Parker stopped near Denny and attempted to shoot the gas tank of Denny's truck but missed.

The Verdict-After a few jury changes, a hung jury nullified all charges except a felony count of mayhem for Williams, and one misdemeanor assault charge for both Williams and Watson on October 18. Watson was then given credit for time served and was released.
