Just posted at PerezHilton.com -

"John McCain's Brother = Major FAIL!
Filed under: Politik > John McCain

Does John McCain's family think they're above the law?

Apparently, his brother does!

Joe McCain was was stuck in traffic on October 21st in Alexandria, VA. Extremely upset by the traffic backup, the possible future president's brother decided he would call 911 to complain.

WTF?!?!?!

And he called TWICE!

Here's how the first call went:

Operator: 911 state your emergency
Caller: Well, it's not an emergency but do you know why on one side at the damn drawbridge of 95, traffic is stopped for 15 minutes and yet traffic's coming the other way?
Operator: Sir, are you calling 911 to complain about traffic? (pause)
Caller: "Fuck you." (caller hangs up)

So then, the 911 Operator, apparently a bit confused and bothered that someone would call an emergency number to complain about traffic, called back the number that placed the 911 call.

And instead of an answer, got his voicemail instead.

McCain's voicemail said, "Hi this is Joe McCain I can't take this message now because I'm involved in a very (inaudible) important political project… I hope on Nov. 4th we have elected John."

After receiving the message on his phone, an even more upset McCain called 911 again to bitch. That conversation went as follows:

Caller: Somebody gave me this riot act about the violation of police.
Operator: Did you just call 911 in reference to this?
Caller: Yeah.
Operator: 911 is to be used for emergencies only, not just because you're sitting in traffic.

The McCain campaign refused to comment. Nice!

If Joe is this way now, imagine how he'll behave on a power trip if his brother does become president?"

There is ZERO doubt in my mind that EVERYONE in the McCain camp (including McCain himself) have regretted Palin as their pick, since the Katie Couric interviews. They obviously can't come out and say this, publically. There is simply no possible way not to regret this decision, as it is going to cost the guy, and the party, the election!

there's been plenty brought up about obama that should have raised a few eyebrows. no one cares tho. like someone said... they just want obama to win. people hate reps so much they are just blind.

make sure you check your credit card statements! seems obama's website isn't secure. people are finding donations to obama they never made. hmm.

funny how when the shoes on the other foot it's a "non-issue".

Lula wrote:"Paul Lindsay, Ohio spokesman for the McCain campaign, attempted to portray the inquiries as politically motivated. "It's outrageous to see how quickly Barack Obama's allies would abuse government power in an attempt to smear a private citizen who dared to ask a legitimate question," he said.

Isaac Baker, Obama's Ohio spokesman, denounced Lindsay's statement as charges of desperation from a campaign running out of time. "Invasions of privacy should not be tolerated. If these records were accessed inappropriately, it had nothing to do with our campaign and should be investigated fully," he said. "

what fact finder posted says it all- accused and denied, basically a non issue unless something is proven.

as for palin's call to support special needs children... with idea in place (thank you pres clinton) children in public schools are receiving services, what needs to be funded properly is bush's no child left behind, which was terribly vague on education rights for children with disabilities. early education programs also known as head start (once again, thank you prez bill for the expansion and again we find funding falls short under bush).... anyway there are programs, great programs in place they just need to be funded. if palin is sincere in her desire to advocate on behalf of children with disabilities she better be careful on earmarked studies she would cut.

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/10/24/palin-fruit-flies/

a non issue for either candidate unless there is a proven link to either campaign. but at this point when we are days away from election day it i think it would take something a lot bigger to have any impact on the election.

With all due respect, you're a complete knucklehead to debate with. Unlike you, I'm not blinded by any party that I happen to support. I'm not a Democrat, and agree with you, 1000% that Joe Biden is a fucking moron. The dude was talking about FDR being on TV, at a time when FDR wasn't the president, and TV wasn't invented! Do you seriously think that I would ever defend that? I'm not sure how Couric even kept a straight face, to be honest with you. On the other hand, you attempt to put a positive spin on EVERYTHING Republican. I haven't once heard you criticize that brain-dead waste of oxygen that is Puppet Palin. I don't care which party you happen to be affilated with...There is ZERO defending of Palin. She is so under qualified for the position that she is seeking, it is embarrassing!

The difference is, if Biden was actually called on this stupidity, he would be the first to stop, and play it off with a self-deprecating flash of his walrus tusk veneers. Palin, on the other hand, would continue deadpan as usual, and then go on Sean Hannity and say the whole thing was a liberal media foxtrap.

For all his braggadocio, Biden sounds competent. Palin sounds like she's acting.

You seem to have some kind of infatuation with Palin. As often as you are calling her retarded, brain dead, etc., etc., is making me think she probably has twice the brain power you do.

And that of most Americans by your reckoning.

...Obviously that isn't the case but Enigma is bang on the money. Palin doesn't need anyone to call her stupid though as she is doing a really fantastic job of that all by herself.

Just because I consistently call her the moron that she is, doesn't mean that I'm remotely "infatuated" with her! I can assure you that my wife looks better than she does, and even has better glasses! I also don't think that my wife is qualified to run the country! Unlike some dopes, I don't vote with the head in between my thighs!

Sure she does. A couple of points here...my "brain power" isn't the issue here, because I'm not the one claiming to be smart enough to be the Vice President of The United States of America! If she wants to hold the second highest office in the land, she better at least prove that she has something, other than dust, and deer carcasses in between her ears! As for Puppet Palin being superior, intellectually, I would GLADLY match wits with her, ANY TIME!

Obama has to win the election. This country won't be fit to live in otherwise. The hate has never been more palatable than this year. It should soothe the savage beast. I never realized how much hate still existed until I read the many comments and blogs following the day to day news items. Mrs. Obama and then Rev.Wright made me realize that it's taught at the breast and preached in the pulpit. It's what Obama's aim has been since he first saw the ad for skin lightener in a mag. Will his win make it better or will it make it worse? Black American Republicans claim it will make it worse.

Apparently, her new title is Diva Palin.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/25/ ... index.html

Palin's 'going rogue,' McCain aide says

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) -- With 10 days until Election Day, long-brewing tensions between GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin and key aides to Sen. John McCain have become so intense, they are spilling out in public, sources say.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN that they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin "going rogue."

A Palin associate, however, said the candidate is simply trying to "bust free" of what she believes was a damaging and mismanaged roll-out.

McCain sources say Palin has gone off-message several times, and they privately wonder whether the incidents were deliberate. They cited an instance in which she labeled robocalls -- recorded messages often used to attack a candidate's opponent -- "irritating" even as the campaign defended their use. Also, they pointed to her telling reporters she disagreed with the campaign's decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source says she appears to be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

"She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said this McCain adviser. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else.

"Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Divas trust only unto themselves, as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom."

A Palin associate defended her, saying that she is "not good at process questions" and that her comments on Michigan and the robocalls were answers to process questions.

But this Palin source acknowledged that Palin is trying to take more control of her message, pointing to last week's impromptu news conference on a Colorado tarmac.

Tracey Schmitt, Palin's press secretary, was urgently called over after Palin wandered over to the press and started talking. Schmitt tried several times to end the unscheduled session.

"We acknowledge that perhaps she should have been out there doing more," a different Palin adviser recently said, arguing that "it's not fair to judge her off one or two sound bites" from the network interviews.

The Politico reported Saturday on Palin's frustration, specifically with McCain advisers Nicolle Wallace and Steve Schmidt. They helped decide to limit Palin's initial press contact to high-profile interviews with Charlie Gibson of ABC and Katie Couric of CBS, which all McCain sources admit were highly damaging.

In response, Wallace e-mailed CNN the same quote she gave the Politico: "If people want to throw me under the bus, my personal belief is that the most honorable thing to do is to lie there."

But two sources, one Palin associate and one McCain adviser, defended the decision to keep her press interaction limited after she was picked, both saying flatly that she was not ready and that the missteps could have been a lot worse.

They insisted that she needed time to be briefed on national and international issues and on McCain's record.

Schmitt came to the back of the plane Saturday to deliver a statement to traveling reporters: "Unnamed sources with their own agenda will say what they want, but from Gov. Palin down, we have one agenda, and that's to win on Election Day."

Yet another senior McCain adviser lamented the public recriminations.

"This is what happens with a campaign that's behind; it brings out the worst in people, finger-pointing and scapegoating," this senior adviser said.

This adviser also decried the double standard, noting that Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama's running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, has gone off the reservation as well, most recently by telling donors at a fundraiser that America's enemies will try to "test" Obama.

Tensions like those within the McCain-Palin campaign are not unusual; vice presidential candidates also have a history of butting heads with the top of the ticket.

John Edwards and his inner circle repeatedly questioned Sen. John Kerry's strategy in 2004, and Kerry loyalists repeatedly aired in public their view that Edwards would not play the traditional attack dog role with relish because he wanted to protect his future political interests.

Even in a winning campaign like Bill Clinton's, some of Al Gore's aides in 1992 and again in 1996 questioned how Gore was being scheduled for campaign events.

Jack Kemp's aides distrusted the Bob Dole camp and vice versa, and Dan Quayle loyalists had a list of gripes remarkably similar to those now being aired by Gov. Palin's aides.

With the presidential race in its final days and polls suggesting that McCain's chances of pulling out a win are growing slim, Palin may be looking after her own future.

"She's no longer playing for 2008; she's playing 2012," Democratic pollster Peter Hart said. "And the difficulty is, when she went on 'Saturday Night Live,' she became a reinforcement of her caricature. She never allowed herself to be vetted, and at the end of the day, voters turned against her both in terms of qualifications and personally."

Unlike StrangeGrey and RVR, you don't bring any Conservative perspective on the issues.
In fact, most of what you say is from McCain surrogates chapters and verse.

Unlike Tree-woman, I'm not chiding people on their responses in this thread.
Get shocked, get annoyed, or go get fucked....don't really care.

Treewoman has been consistently wrong throughout this thread and worse still, is continually uninformed about her very own candidate.
There is clearly no substantive Conservative bedrock to her thinking.
Whatever Hannity says goes!
