BTW, as far as people working and not be able to vote. In Illinois, an employee is allowed to take up to 2 hours of paid leave to vote. So, can't vote because of work is out the window.

This might be a good time to remind you that there are 49 other states!

I'm sure we're not the only state that does that. I wouldn't have a problem making that the federal law either.

Thanks DNA. Jeez, I wonder who Massachussets was thinking about in their time off voting.

Neither would I. More people might vote if this were the case in all states.

not able to catch up on the reading here, sorry. i just gotta say the whole frad, stolen votes theory is becoming a damn talking point with no substance. the results aren't even in. i know polls are not the most reliable source, but they are relative. obama has had consistent growth and now real clear has him with 311 to mccain's 157 electoral votes. it appears some of you are setting up the stolen election theory so as not to shock us if we do indeed elect obama to be our 44th president and those that did not support him can cry foul.

let us be honest and admit that fraud is unavoidable cuz there are those dumb asses that just have to cheat- and they exist on both sides of the aisle.
Until we meet again, may God

With voting, if people care, they'll find the time. It comes along so rarely. My son, some of his college mates and myself voted last Friday.

No...I think Obama has enough regular votes to win (though the latest Gallup tracking poll only has him up 2 points, Rasmussen Tracking has Obama up 3, and he is under 50% for the first time in a month with Gallup.). It is the subornation of our voting process to groups like ACORN who definatively have been committing voter fraud that has me worried. And I don't care WHICH SIDE does it, only that those responsible are held accountable and prosecuted.

There is cheating on both sides. But, the majority is in urban areas which tend to be democrats. But cheating is cheating and it's wrong. Also, if Obama blows McCain out of the water, which is very possible, there still may be fraud and we need to correct that but you're right in this scenario it wouldn't make much difference. However, if the race is close and is decided by a narrow margin in one or two states, then the anger over a stolen election is more than fair game.

Thank you.

The ones who cry about voting the most are the ones with the political agenda i.e. the politicans and special interest groups.

Gotta love Chuck Schumer...What a dolt...

Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairman Charles Schumer of New York today argued that in the current climate a politically divided government is a bad thing. He was seeking to counter a closing GOP argument that voters should not give Democrats control of the White House, the House and a potentially filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. “They can’t win on domestic policy; they can’t win on foreign policy; they can’t win on sort of trying to tag our candidates; so the latest theme is, ‘Oh, let’s have some balance in government. Let’s have divided government,’ ” Schumer said at a press briefing. “Our view is very simple, and that is Republican senators, Republican incumbents aren’t for checks and balances. They’re for blocking change and backing [President] Bush.”

I just don't get how the leftists constantly deride conservatives for having the same tired talking points. How many times has Bush been presented as representing the views of every major Republican in America? It's haggard, tired, and most importantly, untrue.

Schumer's a cvntbag. I remember the day he won his seat in office, during election day...he was out shaking hands by the subway station near my apartment in manhattan. I couldn't get around the crowd around him, so I had to walk through it. I come face to face with the loser, as I'm trying to get to the other side of the crowd to go home...he thrusts his hand in my direction, as if to shake mine...I had to fight the urge to spit in his face. Instead, I was able to muster up a calm 'fuck off' before I started walking away....he had the predictable response as I walked away..."He must be a republican"......I turned around and went "wow, all those brains, and you're only running for senate!"

Is Palin even going to finish her term as Governor if the Republicans lose. Back home, her plate is getting fuller by the minute. Maybe Sean Parnell can take over.

Bogus Virginia flyer telling Democrats that they are to vote on the 5th. Just proves that there are the same number of dirtbags on both sides of the aisle!
