I've never heard of Kathleen or even know what state you're from. I don't believe that Obama will be selecting any state's governor as Secretary Of State. That's usually a position that calls for more foreign policy experience, which governors don't typically have. I honestly can't stand Hillary, but believe she would be a VERY good choice for Secretary of State.

Sorry, I wasn't clear... first of all, she's from (I know...I'm setting my self up for something) Kansas. Second, she is supposedly being considered for Secretary of Energy or Health and Human Services, definitely not Sec of State. We wish her luck.

I'm afraid they're going to blow that whole bailout on things that won't/aren't working; I wish they would put that money in a locked box (lol) until Obama takes office.

The Republican machine is already winding up for 2012--Limbaugh is already using phrases that try to blame Obama for the recession. I feel sorry for him, too, Lula. He'll get the right people around him though and he is so freakin' smart he probably knew/knows what he is getting into.

it's a huge mess. what a crock of shit the bailout has turned out to be. they should've given me and a bunch of others money to pay off our student loans  . the thought of these damn ceo's getting bonuses, tho smaller than they're used to getting, and share holders getting their chunk of change rather than the money going to extend credit.... ugh!!! the dude in england brokered a way better deal for the government with their bailout.

i have the utmost faith in the intelligence of obama. he'll surround himself with the best and with some luck turn our country around. so can he start tomorrow? oh wait, that'll get in the way of w and his ability to sneak in a few last zingers

How about Bill O'Reilly saying he's going to be watching Obama very, very closely, and then he admitited he didn't watch Geroge W. close enough, so he's really going to watch Obama. Oh, is that the reason? The reason wouldn't be because he's a Democrat. Right, he didn't watch George W too closely because Bill is an Independent/Republican.

And it's equal opportunity. I'm sure it will be the same for some of those commentators on MSNBC except vice versa.
Like Chris Matthews today. He had Governor Pawlenty on via satellite. He asked a few questions and kept on, trying to get him to say something he wasn't saying. Then at the end he takes his four little answers and exaggerated what he answered and made it inflammatory from Pawlenty about Palin and Bush. I was just trying to watch a little Chris Matthews again, after getting over the way he treated Hillary Clinton. But he should be embarrassed today by that so-called interview. Pawlenty should have slammed him, but he's too nice, just said something about his editing of his comments.

Jim Lehrer asked Paulson tonight why the bailout was for Wall Street and not Main Street. I thought, holy smokes, he's right; why don't they just give each of us $100k or whatever! We could probably handle this better than the current administration. Anyway, Paulson weasled his way out of the question and Lehrer didn't push him too hard.

There shouldn't be any bailout for anybody or any company. Let it fall.
