Steve Perry working on new Album

I respect that you all or at least many of you are die hard Steve Perry fans.
That is why I became a member of this website. You ARE knowledgeable.
I appreciate your information. In the last hour or so I have gone to a JSS
website to look at his pictures. So many of you are certain that is who is
in my picture from New Year's Eve. The hair on his chin and the curly dark
hair certainly seems to match. However, Treetopovskaya just posted the picture
of this H guy and that guy has on the SAME pants that the potential (Imposter)
Steve Perry was wearing New Year's Eve. I am not trying to pull anything over
on any of you. The band was doing their sound check, the wife of the guy who
was the lead guitar was there with her two kids. I asked how many members are
in the band playing tonight (New Year's Eve), and she said well the regular band
members have five, but Steve Perry from Journey is here tonight to sing. I
have never seen Steve Perry in concert. I was living on a ranch in the boonies
for 10 years, the same 10 years Steve was in Journey. No television, no radio, no telephone.
The band New Year's Eve played all night, with one or two breaks. I payed attention all night, and when the band
took a break, I came up on the stage as did some other people. I walked right over to
the singer and said, "I wanted to meet you. I understand you are Steve Perry who use to
sing for Journey." He said, "yes I am." I told him it was an honor to meet him and his
voice was incredible. He said, "I left Journey because I was tired of being on the road."
I talked with him about that for a minute, how I understand being on the road is a hard life.
There was a little chit chat about where he is living now. I shook his hand again and got off
the stage. I had a friend with me who heard the same thing, that it was STEVE PERRY.
However, now I'm thinking it was not. I'm going to try to add another picture so you people can get to
the bottom of this. I'm pissed off now............. I want to know what the hell is going on!

I agree. If this even happened, maybe Jeff Scott Soto was razzing her b/c she thought he was Steve Perry, and just joking around with her because she was so gullible,. Or the second thought is, is this poster is playing us? She lived on a ranch with no TV, radio, or telephone for ten years it just so happened during the Perry period . . . . . . . Well, based upon the fake fro on the "Neal", and the gawdawful outfits they wore, I'd say they lied to you, plain and simple. Sorry hon. I'm sure they sounded fine tho.

On a similar note, we were at Citywalk for New Year's Eve, came out of the movie theater there, and saw that they had a band up. It was about 15 mintues til midnight at that point. Brian got all excited, saying "MOM! It's SLASH!". Sure enough, there was a guy up on the stage who looked a LOT like Slash, played guitar, etc etc etc. I noted one huge difference. Slash smokes constantly when he plays. Constantly, fire codes be damned. This guy was about 20 years too young, and no ciggies.

Yep, I had a novice ham radio license at the age of 13

I was a cryptologist in the US Navy- what was known as an "R brancher" and could copy morse code at 50 groups per minute at 95 percent accuracy. I could simultaneously listen to a baseball game in one ear, listen to morse code with the other ear, receive a blow job from a girl, enjoy all three activities whilst accurately capturing and typing the morse code.

The Steve sighting/singing thing reminds me of an interview Steve did a few years back. The caller was from Boston I believe and she called in to tell Steve about his autograph her best friend got a few months back when Steve was at some club in Boston and went up on stage and sang a song. Steve was like sorry but I have not been to Boston in the past months or the past years I don't know who gave your friend an autograph of Steve Perry but it wasn't me. The woman then went on to say something about that's what her friend told her and her friend would have no reason to lie and Steve still said it was not him he was not there or in Boston. The caller didn't take long to hang up.

What is sad is that there is another recently new thread about Who has anyone met SP? and the new poster chose to post her meeting on this thread instead of the Who has anyone met SP thread.
