Well obviously I agree with you there, when you hear insults thrown by anyone, it generally means "they have lost their cool" unless they are cool, but even then, the argument is lost. Karate is good, what form - and do you still train, it's a tough style, how's it going for you these days.

I have a 2nd degree black belt in Korean Taekwondo. I don't train nearly as much as I used to or would like to. Just enough to stay loose and responsive. I

I'm about the least violent person that you could find, but we all have or sensitivities and limits.

If you would lose it and get physical with someone over something as minor as whether or not they believe you that Perry recorded something, that's not exactly "least violent person" material. That is nothing to get violent over, that's something where you just go "ok whatever... believe what you want". And again, its NOT what you say its the way you persist in shoving this whole thing all over everyone. This has been said to you many times and you still don't get it.

Listen, read the thread. Nothing about this stuff could ever cause me to be violent, it all about music and fun. But when my deceased mother gets brought into the conversation, with negative sexual comments about her, I would absolutely get physical and don't think many people would stand face to face with me and say something like that.

So again, read the complete thread before you spout off and accuse me of wanting to get violent over wether or not a few people like or dislike the way that I post knowledge on a forum.

That doesn't make me mad, it just makes me laugh.

Perry should make an album of all the non-classic Journey. Take about a dozen songs from Arrival, Generations, & Revelation, and put them on an album called 'Journey - My Way'.

I think it'd be a great symbolic thumbing of his nose at the band. And, I think he could really redo a lot of those songs better than ever.

It's fine, no offense taken at all. I don't mean to be "troll" like(that's still a comical term to me), I'm just confident about what I know and am excited. I've been involved other threads occasionally. I just post what I think/know and never attack anyone. People can think what they want about me. I have several friends on here that I PM with on a regular basis. Those are the ones that matter, not the same 6 or 8 that don't enjoy what I have to say.

Thanks for the post and again, no offense taken. This is a great forum and I really enjoy it. I have a few people who I think are a joke and I either don't read their posts or I read them and shake my head. I don't feel the need to respond, argue and battle with them over and over about the same topic.

Basically what I'm saying is that, people know what I bring to the table. Some like it, others don't. That's how life is. I'll keep interacting with the ones who do, and only continue to argue or defend myself when attacked by the ones who don't.

My point is, ok, enough we get it... I have nothing to "get over" myself about. You, however, have this repetitive harping that could stand to be "gotten over". I don't know who you're trying to impress, but it's just annoying to the rest of us.

Speak for yourself. Not everyone feels like you do. I know, I've been told.
Mad, I'm sorry if I offended you by also labeling you a troll but you have to admit that since joining here you have for the most part only been repeating the same thing over and over and over again....which comes across as troll behavior....if your just enthusiastic and want to share what you know then put it in your sig and/ or speak about Perry and the topic of the possibility of new music on occasion..you should... like anyone else you have the right to... but don't let that be the only thing you have to say and don't try to ram it down everyones throats...you have been heard and we all here hope your information is correct...(well just about everyone but SJ but..I think he's lying and would really like to hear it too.) Anyway...if your not a troll and just here to stir things up then continue to say what you want in regards to the music but relax a little and join in on other conversations as well and others will relax towards you...may not always agree with you but at least the troll label that you've earned initially will eventually wear off. JMO. 8)

Fair enough. It would be nice to hear more from you then only one thing, though. 8)
Good morning cupcake

Good morning to you too Steve

There is also a "Steve Perry" who is a guitarist in LA...He had an album out years ago titled, "Truth to the Rumor". Which I bought just cuz I thought it was funny to have the album: Steve Perry, "Truth to the Rumor".

I think this person is talking about the album entitled, "The Best of Steve Perry" to be released January 13, 2009. I'm sure you all know about that. I pre-ordered it on Amazon.com
It contains no new songs, but people say it has a couple lines from Steve. I think Sony is involved.

Rob Dickinson writing some material for Steve, somebody else writing for Steve, now session musicians doing work for Steve. I can see all that as he does have demo's which he has played for his friends, and he might need some outside workers to put that together with him and his Apple computer, but as Andrew said, nothing done, no label involved so it's the usual stuff.

Korean Taekwondo? That's not at all like Karate as you originally stated. Karate originates from Japan for a start and is not nearly as energetic or dynamic as the heavily kick based Taekwondo.

I should say thanks though as your posts have reminded me to check when the new Tall Stories album is due for release...

Karate is a broad term. If you're really into martial arts, you should know that. Taekwondo is generally thought of as Karate that was learned by Koreans during the Japanese occupation of Korea.

Why the questions? Do you not believe me? I'd be happy to show you a demonstration or spar with you sometime if you'd like.

Sure, why not. As you are only a second Dan black belt...I would happily school you for free! ;-) I'm based in the South West of the UK, give me a shout if you ever make it to these shores.

As for not believing in you. Sure I do...afterall weren't you at the same New Years Eve concert with the hot chick who swore blind that JSS was Steve Perry and that he told her so. Come to think of it maybe she was your wife's sister's cousin's uncle or something!

OK, if you say Bullshit, are you saying that Taekwando didn't originate in Korea or what? What is bullshit?
Doubt I'll be visiting the UK anytime soon, but if you're ever around the Eastern US, let me know. We can together, have a beer and see what's what . Only a second Dan black belt? I can only assume that you're very skilled to say ONLY a second Dan. Tell me more about your skill.

It's been a few years since I've tried for a promotion, maybe I'll rededicate and train more, so that if we ever do run into each other, I'll be in top condition. Wow! You've inspired me. Thanks!

And, no, I know SP when I see/hear him. Sister's cousin's uncles, blah blah blah. Is SP working on new stuff or isn't he? I think my Sister's friend was pretty spot on, don't you? Why not E mail Russ Miller and ask him? Blah, blah, same old broken record.

When you buy the new SP cd, send it to me and I'll sign it for you.

Hell, SP can play drums himself well enough to do that.

It just takes some people to get hit over the head with a club before they get it. Don't worry, a club with your name on it is coming. I don't know the exact title of the club yet, but you'll know it when it smacks you in your Dorito Chute.

I can't say person for person who's being a Debbie Downer in your nutcan, but dude, seriously... WE GET IT. I can say though, the overall feeling on this board in response to your posts is not pounding your rainbow and saying you're wrong. We're just saying shut the fuck up about it already, who cares. Or even better... if this is going to be your "thing" then at LEAST contribute somehow, someway to the board other than shoving your special knowledge of Perry's release (handed down by your sister's father's cousin's mechanic's former roommate's janitor) down our throats in every post. (And none of this "don't read it if it bothers you" shit... at this point its just flat out spam.) I'm sure you're a fabulous person, I don't know you, I won't judge you... but I can say as far as this board goes, you're a troll.

Aside from the cracked-out Spoons, we're all pretty neutral to this story either way... yes, we hope it's true, but we're not going to shit the bed if we're let down again. So your "WE'LL SEE" shtick kind of neuters itself. And I'm not the type to go off on anyone, but this is overkill ad nauseum et infinitum.

What's your point? Seriously, get over yourself. Lighten up. Spam? I'm not promoting anyhting. Just saying what I know. That's all. Geez.

O.K. madsplash this is is what I am talking about................you are not just informing anyone of anything. Your purpose seems to be to gloat, and annoy others. Maybe I am wrong, but maybe if your post replies are negative, you might be over doing the We'll See crap. I don't think anyone would be upset if you were right. But only a jerk insists on shoving it in peoples face over and over and over and over...............the broken record is too much.
