LMAO! Are there people seriously emailing or commenting on random blog people looking for the slightest Perry morsels? Jesus, why anyone would take anything written in a random blog to mean anything factual is totally beyond me. That's like getting your evening world news report from the clerk at McDonald's.

Well obviously I agree with you there, when you hear insults thrown by anyone, it generally means "they have lost their cool" unless they are cool, but even then, the argument is lost. Karate is good, what form - and do you still train, it's a tough style, how's it going for you these days.

I have a 2nd degree black belt in Korean Taekwondo. I don't train nearly as much as I used to or would like to. Just enough to stay loose and responsive. I

I'm about the least violent person that you could find, but we all have or sensitivities and limits.

Korean Taekwondo? That's not at all like Karate as you originally stated. Karate originates from Japan for a start and is not nearly as energetic or dynamic as the heavily kick based Taekwondo.

I should say thanks though as your posts have reminded me to check when the new Tall Stories album is due for release...

Karate is a broad term. If you're really into martial arts, you should know that. Taekwondo is generally thought of as Karate that was learned by Koreans during the Japanese occupation of Korea.

Bullsh!t.

madsplash wrote:Why the questions? Do you not believe me? I'd be happy to show you a demonstration or spar with you sometime if you'd like.

Sure, why not. As you are only a second Dan black belt...I would happily school you for free! ;-) I'm based in the South West of the UK, give me a shout if you ever make it to these shores.

As for not believing in you. Sure I do...afterall weren't you at the same New Years Eve concert with the hot chick who swore blind that JSS was Steve Perry and that he told her so. Come to think of it maybe she was your wife's sister's cousin's uncle or something!

That last paragraph too funny. A classic .

I have been posting lately on the Journey Music board and it's like Perry never existed. In many way's that board has become an extension of the Arnel Pineda fansite, with just a few older people ever acknowledging SP. I've had my fun bashing on him over here but over there I have to take a different approach and make people aware of him as the man who has been singing those songs you have heard on the radio everyday.

My point is, ok, enough we get it... I have nothing to "get over" myself about. You, however, have this repetitive harping that could stand to be "gotten over". I don't know who you're trying to impress, but it's just annoying to the rest of us.

Speak for yourself. Not everyone feels like you do. I know, I've been told.

Came across this, not sure of the reliability, but again another person repeating the rumour.

"The rest is history. A best of Steve Perry record is due in 2009 as well as some new material. "
Take it for what it's worth.

I think this person is talking about the album entitled, "The Best of Steve Perry" to be released January 13, 2009. I'm sure you all know about that. I pre-ordered it on Amazon.com
It contains no new songs, but people say it has a couple lines from Steve. I think Sony is involved.

Did you not read the whole thing?

This link has now been updated and revised . . . .just letting ya know.

**Updated Friday January 9, 4:50pm**
I have noticed a TON of hits to this site, I appreciate it, but in looking it appears I have sparked a series of discussions on some message boards. A kind person alerted me to some issues with the section about what the band is up to now. So I wanted to take this persons suggestion and clarify some information.

- I do NOT have any proof that Steve Perry will release a solo record of new material this year. (any reference has been removed)

- The "best of collection" will contain no new material. For further information check the web site here. This is a FAN SITE so please keep that in mind as well.

I appreciate the hits to the blog today, and hope you will come back. I apologize if I lead any of you to believe that there was new solo perry material forthcoming. I have NO information, I am casual fan at best, so I apologize once more for "message board wars". Honestly I thought I was the only one that read this blog....

Thanks for clearing all the Loon-acy up, L. :D

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Perry making music is hardly making a wave at the official site.

Run a whiff of a rumor that SP will rejoin Journey for the next tour over there and see what happens.

Yeah, Gunbot, you should. Well, the problem is there's a huge amount of lurkers here from those sites, so you will never be able to pull it off. They've all already read this thread.

I have already voiced my opinion that when Arnel's work visa expires, he will be released and a major attempt will be made for a one off reunion tour. I think it will rival what Bon Jovi just did. I just don't see Arnel in it for the long haul. Scaled down touring and no new releases off of Revelation tell me this was one trick pony presented by Walmart and will not happen again.

We'll see
