Let's think about that. Let's say that you had a friend that was (or maybe wasn't) up to big doings and you knew (or at least figured) he would not appreciate people commenting about it, confirming it, denying it, discussing it... whatever... wouldn't you stay as far away from the topic as you could and let your friend handle his doings (or lack of) his own way? Here's an interesting bit of information....as some of you know I run a blog called Melodic Rock Concerts where I post all sorts of things including my concert photography, reviews, rock news, etc.

Anyway, I did a post in May of last year when these very same rumors were floating around, titled "Steve Perry Working on New Album". It was very short and to the point, but after a while I discovered that when you Google "steve perry new album", my blog post is the #1 search result.

All these months later, there has been a flood of people coming in and telling their stories about their love of Steve's voice and their desire, sometimes referred to as a dying wish, to see him perform again. After reading all of the comments I'm just amazed at how moved people were, and still are, by his voice and his image.

I think most of the people/fans here are just very passionate Steve Perry enthusiasts who would love to hear some new material from the guy.

No doubt that the smallest bit of information that alludes to a new album from any remotely credible source will get everyone's antennae perked up.

I really think annie was being a little tongue in cheek about that comment regarding Lora or Cyndy's silence speaking to the validity or lack thereof of a Perry project. If there is news, it will come out through some more substantive channel. If not, we will just have 19 page threads to allow us to cling to hope! lol

The first sentence says it all for me! I know I should just be happy he is actually making music again, even if only for himself (and I really am!) but heck yeah, I'm selfish too and I want to experience his music again! I may be weird but I feel warm & tingly thinking about the possibliity...like he could actually be creating something right now just a few miles away! Okay, yeah, well, now I better go scrub my kitchen floor...that's WAY exciting.
