As for failed conservatism, Bush was FAR FAR FAR from a conservative. The people calling themselves conservatives, may have fail at BEING conservative, but that isn't a fault of the philosophy, it is a failure of the people purporting to be conservative.
And yes you spouted off (and still do) with a ton of hatred...when you don't even know what is really lies and what isn't. None of us do. We are only allowed to see a certain amount because the rest is classified and only the upper levels of our government really know and even then not all of them.
I would suggest to you that if you want your side to be treated with respect that you at least shut up about Bush for 5 minutes.
I will give the President the benefit of the doubt for now, and UNLIKE you or other liberals I will never spew the rancid, vile, and hateful things about the President that you did about President Bush NO MATTER what President Obama does or doesn't do.

You have not read this thread then. This has, I believe, been the only thread I've been on today and the first thread since O has been sworn in. I have in no way blasted the POTUS today at all. Not fucking once. My first post on this thread defended him you big doufus..My second post re-affirmed my first and added a bit more commentary. My third post broached the hipocracy of the Anti Corporate Jet and PETA and Global Warming crowd. You need to re-read this thread. My last post was to RVR and Tito and I stand by what I said re hatred and venom spewing.

Save your time. I really don't give two shits if all the Cons and republicans like Obama or not. I am elated I am done trying to reason. I am happy, the country is happy, and the world is happy. The problems that face the GOP are their problems, not mine. Bush may not have been a conservative, BUT, Cheney sure as Hell is, Wolfowitz is, Rumsfeld is, Rice is and so was Snow, Paulson and Bernanke. All conservatives. Summation= Defeated! I love it. The GOP fucked themselves and at the same time, saved the peoples party, the Democratic party.
Oh and the lies of Bush? I can't even respond to you, because I have tears in my eyes from laughing at you trying to defend the biggest lying sonofabitch the White House has ever seen. Iraq, Libbby, yellowcake, rendition, torture, Plame, Rove and others....all tied to huge lies.
What president Obama has to decide now is whether or not to prosecute Bush and Cheney for war crimes, ie, torture. I love how a couple jerkoffs who spent 10 years of their lives avoiding the military, are now experts on what exactly is and isn't torture in a military capacity. Obama won't do it, as I am sure he values the honeymoon with the GOP, but like TNC said before, we are a nation of laws or we aren't.

Rockindeano wrote:Fact Finder wrote:You and Fact Finder should show the same attitude. Sinking to the level of those whose behavior you dispise doesn't bring them up, it only brings you down.
Dude, let me assure you, I will never sink to level of the people I "dispise" (hint: I don't despise anyone), they are the ones who treated this man like dirt for the last 6 years. May they reap what they have sowed. Now they want to talk all lovey dovey and shit. I ain't buying into their bullshit and I suspect neither are you. Now as of tomorrow, I expect you to get off of that fence lest you get a splinter in your nuts. Pick a fucking side and stick to it. I am an American and I wish Mr. Obama nothing but success for the better of our Country, but the gall of some of these people spewing their "past" hatred has left a taste that 6 shots of Jack will not kill. I am a conservative at heart and I shall fight for my principles here as long as Andrew allows.
And yes, Tito, wishing ill on ANYONE is in bad taste, period. Case closed. Osama Bin Laden and his lunatic friends et al.. excepted.
And a BIG FUCK YOU to you as well.
The hatred, yep, I threw a bunch of it at Bush, was deserved. He stole an election, I hated that. I still supported the man through thick and thin until it just became too much corruption and too much lying. I would say I supported that slimy lying pile of shit for two years. You on the other hand waited at least 2 minutes to blast the new president. Take your failed conservatism and shove it straight up your ass.

I like when he was makin his speech and peckerhead had to sit there and listen to itRockindeano wrote:This entire Inauguration, which is still going, is inspiring and flat out awesome to watch. For you jerkoffs who are bitter, let me use your own words against you: Get over it.
The most beautiful picture/video I have seen in a long time was Executive 1 flying out of the City.

I STILL can't believe how badly that was handled--I remember sitting at our dinner table watching the news guys trying to get those poor people some water and help! This is the US--how in the hell did that shit happen?
Incompetence, denial, arrogance. I can't believe he was elected twice and I'm from Texas.

Bush has done a lot of stupid things but Katrina is not one of them...That was first and foremost the fault of the governor of Louisiana and the mayor of New Orleans. It not only wasn't his fault but he warned both the governor and mayor Nagin several days before the hurricane struck there.

Thank you.
Katrina
President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur.
President Obama swiftly responded to Hurricane Katrina. Citing the Bush Administration's "unconscionable ineptitude" in responding to Hurricane Katrina, then-Senator Obama introduced legislation requiring disaster planners to take into account the specific needs of low-income hurricane victims. Obama visited thousands of Hurricane survivors in the Houston Convention Center and later took three more trips to the region. He worked with members of the Congressional Black Caucus to introduce legislation to address the immediate income, employment, business, and housing needs of Gulf Coast communities.
President Barack Obama will partner with the people of the Gulf Coast to rebuild now, stronger than ever.

Thanks, CPC......we were warned! Our local government
did not act fast enough and even if they had, they were not prepared to evacuate those who
could not evacuate themselves....the elderly, the disabled, the children and the animals.
Jindal, just this past year, proved that it can be done when done correctly!!!
The only complaint I have about Bobby Jindal is that he failed to tell some of those folks that
they were going to be staying in facilities that were set up
to shelter thousands upons thousands of people in an emergency situation. Silly people, thought
they were staying at the Horseshoe!!!![]()

Dave, I'm curious what mistakes you think Bush made?

+1 on this as well...
As to the levees, the money was allocated, but re-routed at the State level. THAT had been going on for YEARS...
