Post one that's not conducted by Fox or Rasmussen, that was conducted in the past 7 days.

Who did the poll you're quoting (since you didn't include any links...)?

BTW...Love the qualifier there. Fox and Rasmussen don't count, huh? Interesting...How about we knock off other news networks while we're at it and, for that matter, any other pollster that's ever been accused of bias?

{edit}
The average of the major polls, according to RealClearPolitics is as follows...

For/Favor = 38.3%
Against/Oppose = 50.2%

Rasmussen actually showed better numbers for those favoring the healthcare overhaul.

Way to reference outdated information, Dave.

WASHINGTON — More Americans now favor than oppose the health care overhaul that President Obama signed into law Tuesday, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds — a notable turnaround from surveys before the vote that showed a plurality against the legislation.
By 49%-40%, those polled say it was "a good thing" rather than a bad one that Congress passed the bill. Half describe their reaction in positive terms — as "enthusiastic" or "pleased" — while about four in 10 describe it in negative ways, as "disappointed" or "angry."

That chart isn't even close to being accurate. It doesn't reflect the actual numbers from the actual polls. Interesting.

And your proof is....? It's the numbers from the major polls. Funny how they aren't accurate if they don't back up your poll that didn't even meet your own within-seven-days specification.

Whatever, Dave.

Rasmussen is guilty of cherry-picking the hell out of this one. And keep in mind Gallup and NBC conduct sample-based polling, whereas Rasmussen and Faux rely on biased, poll-based data collection.

http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/MSNBC/Sections/NEWS/A_Politics/___Politics_Today_Stories_Teases/June_NBC_poll.pdf

“And, would you be more likely to vote for – a Democratic candidate for Congress who says we should give the new health care law a chance to work and then make changes to it as needed, or a Republican candidate for Congress who says we should repeal the new health care law entirely and then start over?’”
“51% pick the Democrat, 44% pick the Republican.
This was in a poll showing a plurality (45-43) preferring a Republican-controlled Congress,” Chait explains. “In other words, framing the election around health care repeal shifts the debate from +2 for the GOP to +7 for the Democrats.”

Even your own cheerleaders see the writing on the wall:

http://www.tnr.com/blog/jonathan-chait/75967/republican-health-care-fratricide#comments

And on the issues that matter most to Americans, more people want Democrats in charge than the GOP:

Well, of course that source is not good enough for you. It doesn't fit your viewpoint, now does it?

BTW, you "whatever" my RealClearPolitics poll, which simply compiles all the major polls but then you cite two known left-leaning organizations supporting yours? Hmmm...Seems your standards only apply to others, huh?

Um...Dave...the method of extapolating the information Rasmussen used is misleading.

The links I posted completely trump your realclearpolitics post because they come from the source...

Wrong again, Dave. Sorry.

It would be "classic", GoebbelsFan, except it was immediately refuted and proven inaccurate.

This is going to get interesting...

Shirley Sherrod says that she was forced to resign from her position at the USDA after her comments were taken out of context.

The NAACP has retracted its initial statement condemning those comments and says they were "snookered." They are calling for the administration to reconsider Sherrod's ouster.

Nothing interesting at all about it. Fox News masterfully played the Administration by faking/editing a story, and completely taking out of context, her words.

Fox News is disgusting. Obama and Vilsack should rescind the resignation and give her the job back tomorrow. This is unbelievable...that a "news agency" , can pull stuff like this. How anyone can be a fan of Fox is bewildering.

If Obama is hiring and firing people based on what he gets from any cable news channel he should resign. What a poor excuse. Besides, they got it right. She had to step down.

The only video that has been released to the press is the one with the clip and Breitbart is the one who broke it, not Fox. No one seems to know what that lady said before or after the quote that has been aired on television. Nice spin but it isn't going to work.

I don't expect you to get it Dave. You're programmed beyond ridiculous. They didn't get it right...far from it.

Research the fuckin lip you idiot and come clean for just once. God, there's just no reasoning with you assholes. ABC, MSNBC, and CNN so far have all called Fox out. I didn't even watch CBS or NBC. Fox News should not be allowed to call themselves news agency.

Yeah, but the spineless likes of ABC, NBC and CBS, all of whom conveniently decided not to air the ACORN scandal or The New Black Panther video calling for killing "cracker babies." And they didn't report The Black Panther voter intimidation during the '08 election either. They continually suppress or minimally report anything that paints the far left in a bad light. Nice "news" agencies.

Dude, stop already. The ACORN scandal was manipulated by Fox as well.

Sharrod was manipulated, edited and this story was purposefully manufatured by Fox News. MSNBC hs already broken down the tape and Fox got caught, red handed. Obama fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

Sadly, it's what Fox has become.- A joke.

I love the "libtard" smack. So cute. I thought only us "liberals" were namecallers?

I guess we're tards, but I also guess we're smart enought to expose Faux News. You, however, continue to defend a putrid organization because they lean far right. You're pathetic Dave. Go read Revelations or whatever you right wing nut jobs get off doing.

It sure seems like the timing of the release of the video and her firing are a little too close for comfort. Something fishy's going on and it isn't necessarily a right-wing stink.

So studying the Bible is something wingnuts do, huh? Bigoted much?

Dude, studying the Bible is fine with me. I read the fuckin thing...all of it. I didn't exactly buy all the remarkable stories in it though. The lion story? C'mon? Jonah and the whale? Ridiculous.

I went to religious school from K-8. I also did church every week too. I got immersed in that crap. If you like it though, more power to you. I just don't like the fact that Bible cons must link the way they vote to the Bible. The two should be separated.

OK...Now THIS is what a discussion should be like.

How is using the Bible as your guide any different than an atheist, for instance, using their beliefs as a guide for their lives? EVERYONE does this whether they realize it or not and there's nothing wrong with it. It's part of who people are.

Here's an example of where I draw the line...To me, it's perfectly fine if someone believes homosexuality is a sin. However, I think it's wrong of those who say that homosexuality should be illegal and those who practice it should be arrested. Jesus and his apostles never intended for the literal words of the Bible and those things noted as sinful to be codified into law. That's where I draw the line and where I part from a vast MINORITY of Christians who want a theocracy to rule the country.

BTW, either edit your posts faster or quit editing them while I'm replying.

Dave, for the very first time I m going to decline a debate.

Politics and religeon, when mixed, irks the living shit out of me. I don't want any part of this. To me, religeon should be kept out of politics, policy and government. Religeon has created more bullshit in this world than anything else.

Agreed...That's why a RELATIONSHIP with God is far more important than man's own attempts to earn favor with God.
