I've done something similar. If I see people with the "starving, please help" signs, I've gone to McDonald's, gotten them a quarter Pounder meal, large with a Coke, then handed it to them. Sometimes you can tell they're like "just give me money you asshole! I've seen a couple of people just set it down behind them, then go back to holding the sign up. Fucking assholes! Oh well, at least I feel satisfied that I did my part to help.

You can just never tell who really needs the help. I'd hate for someone to starve because I made assumptions about him that are wrong. I took a homeless guy into a restaurant one time and sat with him and had a meal. It was cold as hell outside, and I was going into this real nice sandwich shop. He looked pretty ragged, so I asked him if he'd join me. I got him soup and a sandwich and could tell he really appreciated it. It made me feel really good to help the guy. It's really sad to think what their lives must be like living as an outcast in society and many of them having nobody to turn to. :(

never forget going to visit a relative in the hospital in downtown memphis as a teenager and this homeless guy asking my dad for money and my dad told him he would buy him dinner in the cafeteria.he immediately turned down the offer.i asked my father why he asked in the first place if he was going to turn the offer down and dad told me the guy probably wanted a beer or to score drugs.

Thank you. It feels really good to help others, and I try to when the opportunity presents itself. Hopefully someone will help me if I'm ever in need.

Deano, your a mess. If the guy is a jerk, he will continue to be a jerk, but unfortunately someone else probably had to clean up the mess if he is as lazy as you say. I can understand why you would hate someone of that description. I can tell you there are many more like him. They always deem themselves victims. Good luck making yourself feel better, but you won't teach him anything. He probably has been a mess long time in the making, he will just blame you and see himself as picked on and mistreated.

Grandma, I don't hate the guy. I only hate a handful of people. They are, in no particular order, Sean Hannity, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Ahmedinejhad, bin Laden, Michael Vick, Neal Schon, Joe Elliot, George W Bush, Dick Cheney, Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin, Karl Rove, RobbieG, LeBron James, Steve Avery, Jonathan Friga, Deen Castronovo, Irving Azoff, JT, Dick Morris, Hugo Chavez, Imus, Mexicans, Manny Ramirez, University of Washington alumni, The SEC, Kurt Busch, Assange, Donny Rumsfeld, GOP governors who return free federal dollars(morons), Bernie Madoff, Rick Perry, Mack Brown, Ted nugent, Utah(the entire state), David Stern, CC Sabathia, The Boston Red Sox(all of them), Randy Moss, Notre Dame, Tea Baggers(every single one of them sonsofbitches), OJ Simpson, Ray Lewis, Kim Jong Ill, My employer, Skip Bayless, Bill O'Reilly, Karl Rove(with a fucking passion), Airlines(all of em), Euros, Pepsi, Fox News, and of course the GOP.

I may have more, but these are the folks on the tip of my tongue. Just for good measure, I hate RobbieG again.

I've been to Blimpie's before...There wasn't anything upscale about it, even in comparison to Subway.

  Blimpie's sucks for a sub restaurant. Quizno's is much better, but that's not the kind of restaurant I took the guy to.

I'm sorry, but this is DEFINITELY top 10 material - all time.

Deano, I've been snorting milk out of my nose for the last 15 minutes. I needed that! Four hours of wrapping presents. All the while, trying to remind myself what Christmas is REALLY all about (although it's pretty much a consensus opinion Jesus was born in the spring).

I need a beer.

I just ate 2 of the 3 oreos my son left for Santa...plus half of the rest of the fucking bag. Not one row, mind you...half the container.

Fuck it.

I'm not saying that there are not those people who would like to use any donation for their personal substance habits but there are those who might truly be in need. The day before Christmas I donated quite a bit of money to a man who was standing next to a traffic light with a sign that he was without money and he was the father of 3 children. I don't know if the sign was true or not but for that moment I didn't think it mattered.

You owe me 4.50 now. I just spit out all my brand new fat laced Kettle Corn all over the place. I gotta show Soto this..I'm sure we'll end up talking a bit about you next Thursday when we see each other. I will be hitting the Jaeger pretty hard that night. :)

Dude, watching the NHL network and they are showing the Junior Championships from Buffalo. is this getting a lot of play there? Buffalo looks nice from the camera shots.

The Junior training for a few of the teams was right here in Jamestown, just about 5 miles from where I'm working. I remember seeing the Czech team on the nightly news and the U.S. played Norway in Jamestown about a week ago (I think).

Buffalo sucks, dude. The suburbs are far better, much more beautiful and a lot safer. Buffalo seems very dangerous at night. Lots of poverty and joblessness. I like the area where I'm at (about 90 miles south) ... minus the fucking 6 feet of snow that we've already had. :x

My favorite area up there near Buffalo is Niagara falls. Their downtown isn't very nice either, but the state park surrounding the falls is absolutely beautiful! Especially in the fall. Winter at the falls is kind if cool too though! Snow and ice around the falls.
