What exactly does New England do that makes you "sick to your stomach"? Is it the endless winning or the constant throttling of Shitsburgh every time they play them?

That's why I HATE the Pats. They're so good and they're real classy too. Everyone from Bellichik, Brady to the O line speaks well, respectful and intelligent. The entire organization is classy, much like Pittsburgh. These two organizations, along with the Packers, Red Wings, Penguins, Canucks, Lakers, Sperms, Red Sox, and Yankees are among the best in sports, IMO.

Giving them a free pass on their "tapegate" ?

Yeah dude, this tapegate is a bit different than the Journey tape scandal. I don't have to break it down do I?

Cheating is cheating...then again most of the league probably did it, the Pats just got caught...

Cincinnati brings back Marvin Lewis.

I can get on board with this. His personnel are suspect and shady, but he had them playing hard all the time, even through defeat.

Grogan and James were around in the late 80's but barely. James was retired by 88 and Grogan was gone by 90. Love Grogan. He was a tough, skinny dude. It's amazing to think with the Steve Youngs and Michael Vicks of the world that Grogan still holds the NFL record for most rushing TD's in a season by a QB.

First off, Kobe got a "boost" when he bought his old lady a 3 million dollar ring.

Secondly, Ben is ugly as shit...dude looks like a walking decayed tree stump with eyes. He is awful looking.

Ben's fiancee is said to graduate from Laurel High school, is a very, very bright girl and lives in the New Castle, PA area which is about a 5 minute drive right down the road from me. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette went as far to drive from Pittsburgh to New Castle and hunt down the young women and her parents at her parents residents (taking it a little too far.) It's pretty much official without being official. Good for him, now stay out of the goddamn bars banging 20 year olds! Let the distractions begin.

Big Ben's big secret gets out, but who is she?
Wednesday, January 05, 2011
By Sally Kalson and Karen Kane, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Peter Diana/Post-Gazette

If Ben Roethlisberger is engaged to be married, he doesn't want to talk about it. But a lot of other people do.

The social media have been all a-Twitter with congratulations for the Steelers quarterback, who purportedly popped the question to a young woman from Lawrence County over the holidays.

Asked point blank if he was engaged, Mr. Roethlisberger declined to answer, except to say he wouldn't talk about his private life.

KDKA's John Shumway went to Mr. Roethlisberger Tuesday in the Steelers locker room and asked the quarterback if all the rumors were true.

Mr. Roethlisberger fended off the question like a blitzing linebacker.

"Oh geez. Listen, there's always rumors out there about professional athletes, especially about me. You guys know that I am not going to talk about my own personal life, I don't do that. My one singular focus right now is on the playoffs, on football and trying to get to the Super Bowl."

But while Mr. Roethlisberger sidestepped the question, social media sites rushed in with Tweets and blogs and postings, identifying his "fiancee" as a resident of Hickory Township, near New Castle.

Information developed by the newspaper showed her as a graduate of Laurel High School, where she was a softball star, and a 2008 graduate of St. Francis University in Loretto, Cambria County, with a bachelor's degree in health science, and, a year later, a master of physician assistant.

Armed with that information, the Post-Gazette went to Lawrence County, where the bride-to-be was said to reside.

They smiled congenially but, in the end, David and Gloria Harlan declined to comment on all the reports that their daughter, Ashley, was engaged to be married to the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"I'm sorry but I have no comment at this time," said Mrs. Harlan, whose family lives atop a rural knob that overlooks Devil's Elbow Road in Hickory Township, just outside the village of Eastbrook near New Castle.

Another pleasant smile and "no comment" followed minutes later from Mr. Harlan after he pulled his pickup into the driveway Tuesday evening.

A few neighbors confirmed that it was common knowledge that Ashley and Ben have been "an item" -- as Amy Kunselman put it. But, no one had first-hand information about any pending nuptials. At least no information they were willing to share.

"They're a wonderful family," Mrs. Kunselman said of the Harlans.

Word of the couple's relationship began circulating in the community following a summer outing by Mrs. Harlan and Mr. Roethlisberger's stepmother to a little shop in nearby Volant.

Mrs. Harlan is said to have introduced Mrs. Roethlisberger to an acquaintance as the mother of her daughter's boyfriend.

Wow. Good move. The Titans are 31-17 with Young as a starter, and 17-19 with Collins.

Eh....we got 6 picks in the first 3 rounds....Belichick and co. will concoct some magic to maximize his picks....if they get a passrusher-defensive end that is worth his salt, watch out....they'll be better than they were this year.....

I'm mad at Al because he just fired a guy that sort of made them respectable again....Just die, baby!

It wasn't Cable that made the improvement. It was more hiring Hue Jackson as the new OC plus, Al finally staying out of the draft room and the Raiders getting 4 first round quality players last April.

All the pieces are there to win the division next year with the right coach.

Hmmm....What I'm hearing is Cable wasn't responsible for anything that they did this year. It was Hue, plus the new OC. So therefore, those 2 could only get them an 8-8 record. And whomever they choose to replace Cable is supposed to make up for the rest? Something Cable wasn't able to do? I don't buy it.

I seriously hope the Packers win it all. Just to rub it in the face of Farve. He tried to screw Green Bay and it backfired in his grill. I hope the people of Wisconsin remember his last acts of sabotaging their publicly owned team. :D

I've backed Green Bay ALL year. I'm still in their corner to represent the NFC in Dallas. There is just something about their team that could translate well into the playoffs. The Pack has a good shot.
