Dude, watching the NHL network and they are showing the Junior Championships from Buffalo. is this getting a lot of play there? Buffalo looks nice from the camera shots.

The Junior training for a few of the teams was right here in Jamestown, just about 5 miles from where I'm working. I remember seeing the Czech team on the nightly news and the U.S. played Norway in Jamestown about a week ago (I think).

Buffalo sucks, dude. The suburbs are far better, much more beautiful and a lot safer. Buffalo seems very dangerous at night. Lots of poverty and joblessness. I like the area where I'm at (about 90 miles south) ... minus the fucking 6 feet of snow that we've already had. :x
My favorite area up there near Buffalo is Niagara falls. Their downtown isn't very nice either, but the state park surrounding the falls is absolutely beautiful! Especially in the fall. Winter at the falls is kind if cool too though! Snow and ice around the falls.

I've been to the Falls too Lynn, and I swore off the US side. We always go to the Canadian side whenever we go there. So much nicer.

How many years ago? Because it used to be kind of dirty when I was younger. But they have cleaned it up and added things and it is BEAUTIFUL now! We went 2 summers ago! Love going under the falls on the American side too. That is one of the coolest things I've ever done! It's a beautiful park now. I love both sides and do both! Different feels! The Canadian side is more the "tacky tourist" side and the American the pretty park side, more relaxing, but I enjoy that as well!! I always do both!

Here, this is my daughter under the American falls. You can only do this on the American side! This looks SO fake but we could go actually under the falls and they were on top of us on the one side. This pic isn't even under the falls though, because the camera wasn't cooperating with all the water droplets getting on the lens! But I SWEAR I have done some cool things, like cave tubing in Belize and snorkeling in the Caribbean, and this topped them all!! Needless to say we were soaked! Even with the raincoats, because the wind blows them around! There were even rainbows down there! The Canadian side is really fun too though! The kids loved all of it!

Just imagine how they had to construct that little porch area? They had to do it in the water!

I know! I can't even imagine! And there is a platform right under that part of the falls too, not in this pic. They have a HUGE "no smoking" sign when you get to the upper platform, a JOKE obviously!  For years I saw this from above, and it looked like it could be fun, but actually being down there was such a rush! So pretty! I was in awe of the falls from down there! It beat out my other favorite, Maid of the Mist!

Here, I know I'm way too excited over this, but you can see how much I loved it  This is the sign! I thought that was pretty hilarious! There is no way that a cigarette would stay lit there, between the wind and the water! That is the highest you can go on a platform and the falls actually hit you there.

I can understand why you would hate someone of that description. I can tell you there are many more like him. They always deem themselves victims. Good luck making yourself feel better, but you won't teach him anything. He probably has been a mess long time in the making, he will just blame you and see himself as picked on and mistreated.

Grandma, I don't hate the guy. I only hate a handful of people. They are, in no particular order, Sean Hannity, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Ahmedinejhad, bin Laden, Michael Vick, Neal Schon, Joe Elliot, George W Bush, Dick Cheney, Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin, Karl Rove, RobbieG, LeBron James, Steve Avery, Jonathan Friga, Deen Castronovo, Irving Azoff, JT, Dick Morris, Hugo Chavez, Imus, Mexicans, Manny Ramirez, University of Washington alumni, The SEC, Kurt Busch, Assange, Donny Rumsfeld, GOP governors who return free federal dollars(morons), Bernie Madoff, Rick Perry, Mack Brown, Ted nugent, Utah(the entire state), David Stern, CC Sabathia, The Boston Red Sox(all of them), Randy Moss, Notre Dame, Tea Baggers(every single one of them sonsofbitches), OJ Simpson, Ray Lewis, Kim Jong Ill, My employer, Skip Bayless, Bill O'Reilly, Karl Rove(with a fucking passion), Airlines(all of em), Euros, Pepsi, Fox News, and of course the GOP.

I may have more, but these are the folks on the tip of my tongue. Just for good measure, I hate RobbieG again.

The probably built it when the shut off the American side of the falls...and yes they did that...in 1969.

Then again...maybe they built it with the water running? Pretty cool to think they shut off a water fall though!

Deano, just a question. Have you ever tried to play a tripleheader soccer tournament in one day? I was a center midfielder on a travelling team in high school, and if we went to the finals of some of the tourneys in which we participated, we usually had to play 3 80 minute games within a 8 hour period.

Hate the game, but not the athletes. I can guarantee you have no idea how fucking exhausting 240 minutes of wind sprints, stopping and starting, and split-second decision making would wear ANYONE out.

Whatever 7. It still doesn't change the fact that soccer sucks and most of it's "actors," are chain smoking, crossdressing, taking it in the ass euros. :)
