So in other words, the Jets were the better football team and the Pats simply got beat? The only lead the Pats had was 3-0 and then never re-established the lead. Own up dude, it's football. Pass's are dropped, decisions are made and opportunities are lost. Every team that lost to the Pats, all 14 of them lost to the Pats the same way the Pats lost to the Jets. In spite of Brady's final numbers yesterday (which were more than respectable), he didn't have a Brady like game, AT ALL. Sure, Crumpler dropped a pass he should have caught and Deion Branch did as well. But, you're conveniently forgetting the SUPERB catch Santonio Holmes made. The Jets deserved to win the game yesterday.

This is just so pathetic to watch. Yes, the Jets team is filled with assholes and blowhards from Bart Scott to Braylon Edwards to Santonio Holmes to Footosaurus Rex. I personally hope (god help me) that the Steelers beat the piss out of those morons next week.

But, you guys got fuckin BEAT. The Jets simply didn't need to drive the length of the field because the Patriots never forced them to. The Jets were able to finagle great field position all game - it wasn't simply "handed to them." The Pats coughed the ball up, tried crazy stuff because the Jets were rattling them and forcing them off their game plan, and simply couldn't get the job done. Quit your fuckin whining and take the loss. It's one thing to say Brady didn't play well (he didn't) or Belichick shouldn't have done the first onside kick (he probably shouldn't have and I said that even before it failed to work). But, all of that didn't happen in a vacuum. The Jets had a hand in that. The final score was 28-21, but the reality is, it wasn't even remotely that close. The Pats were dominated pretty much from start to finish.

New York and Boston fans are two sides of the same damn coin - arrogant, loudmouth, superiority complex-laden assholes who won't admit when their team got outclassed and think they are entitled to championship teams every year. Fuck all Boston and New York sports and their fans. (Sorry JFB, you're a good, true sports fan - passionate but knowledgeable, realistic, and objective.)

That Cotchery catch over the middle that turned into a 50+ yard pass play was a specific big play for that Pats D to stop. I think that drive where the Jets answered the Pats T.D and also the 2 point conversion was the nail in the coffin. Gillette had ALL the momentum and came within 3 points going into the 4th QRT so that Jets answer of their own T.D marked with Holmes's catch was something that N.E torments their opponents with. Those are the splash plays Brady is known for. This time, it was Sanchez to Cotchery, and then Sanchez to Holmes is what did N.E in. Jets won it. N.E made a nice comeback.

WOW! Look at all the JFB ballwashers coming out of the woodwork. I guarantee John feels the same way I do A LOT of the time....I guess he just cares what people think of him....I couldn't care less. I speak my mind, and never waver. Like I said earlier, then had a moment of weakness... My last post. Out.
Tom Brady IS the G.O.A.T.

To me, Brady seemed detached from the game yesterday. Tom Brady is usually making in-game adjustments, talking with players and coaches and firing up teammates, but yesterday he seemed content with playing catch and sitting alone on the sideline. I saw a guy that didn't seem to care about winning the game and wasn't even concerned about clock management. The guy shit the bed. Plain and simple. While there is plenty of blame to go around, it starts with him.

This may be the funniest post I've EVER read on any forum that I've been a participant in. Dude...do you even read my posts? You seriously think that someone with my style gives two fucks what people think? You're more clueless than even I thought. There are very few people on this forum who I haven't taken on at one point or another and there is nobody on this forum who I wouldn't go toe to toe with. Fuck, ask all the ex-jackass talkers who post here about how much I cared what people thought when I posted on "The official Journey website" many years ago. I told almost every one of them to go shit in their hats, including the embarrassing moderators on that site.

I promise you that you are I are not wired remotely similarly when it comes to sports or the teams we cheer for. If a team gets screwed by the officials, I'll be the first to say so (which I did earlier this season when the officials completely handed the Steelers a victory in Miami). However, when you start making that claim about EVERY game, ever played and lost by "your" team, you begin to look like the little boy who cried wolf, one too many times! Listen, there is no shame in losing an NFL game. I'm not embarrassed to be a Patriots fan today. The truth of the matter is that the Jets have better players at a lot of positions. Off the top of my head, I would probably only give the edge to the Patriots at QB and TE. Teams lose games. If you don't show up to play in the NFL, you'll lose, even if the opponent you're facing has zero wins on the season. It's simply the way the league is and will always be. If there is NFL football next season, I'll be ready to watch the Patriots bounce back and hopefully have a much better showing in the playoffs next season. Two seasons of "one and done" is all I can handle. The NFL is certainly a whole lot more enjoyable when the team you want to win comes through. That said, I love football and will still enjoy the games next weekend and The Super Bowl. I then have the Red Sox and Celtics to look forward to. It could be worse...I could be a Cleveland fan

Well said, diehard fans that been through the ups and downs before appreciate victories, dynasty's and non-stop playoff wins a little more when you've seen some heartaches. Before the 2005 season, for me, it always seemed like we'd NEVER reach that next step and that I'd never witness my team to win the big game. All of those championship loss's at home really was the monkey on Pittsburgh's back, we were in Philly territory for so many years, reaching but choking in Title Games and it always felt like we just weren't good enough to win the big one when we'd have outstanding seasons.

When it comes down to it, I'm privileged to be born into a Steelers family because so many teams fanbase's are so bare and never experienced the chunk of success. It's tough to win in today's NFL, period. Hell, it's even harder to win 2 in a row these days so even though N.E bit the dust and didn't get it done, their franchise is run off of success and fans should never hang their heads in being a Patriots fan. They'll be back, it's only a matter of suring up a young defense that can make noise in a few years. Gillette is still a helluva place to play and beat those guys in and as long as #12 is behind center, you got a shot. I'm sure you'll take it. Even though I hate N.E as bad as the next Steelers fan and want to shit in their mouth and watch them gag on it, I respect the HELL out of that team, as well as Tom Brady.

I give props to Matt, that kid has been tortured enough time and time again, hell even in baseball and basketball and he's still here supporting his shitstains. S2M takes a different approach. He's all laying it out on the line and going through the best fan on the planet but when they lose, he bows out, wants to fire everyone and never hear from him again. Two different approaches to being a fan and S2M can't take as well as he dishes it.

I'm a Niner fan...had tix back in the DAY....never took it for granted then....knew it would end someday...and it did...Niners could never make playoffs again in my lifetime and it would still be worth it....5 Super Bowls...never lost one....the way I was wired back then...a loss would have undoubtedly scarred me for life......:)...will always be my team too...

the end of the dynesty is about to happen I sense... the team and fans might not see it yet... but the passion was missing yesterday... not a good thing for the future... think of the Colts and how far they fell this year... I think that they might be slowly at the end of their run too...

The dynasty ended more than a few years ago. They blew an 18 point lead in Indianapolis (2006?), folded in the Super Bowl (2007?), got raped at home last year by the Ravens and were manhandled this year by the Jets. This team is soft and has been for some time. They need a leader back on defense. They used to have guys like Seymour, Vrabel and Bruschi (who were, to be fair, part of some of those collapses), but now, other than Wilfork (who is a beast!) they are a bunch of cuntrags. They need to regain that collective toughness.

hope he signs a ond day contract with the Packers sometime in the future after the season, so he can retire as a packer...and go to the hall of fame as a packer... and be remembered that way in Canton OHIO... and not the last three years... Let the healing with GB and the fans begin...and their renewed love affair with Brett continue with the years to come...

How fitting would a GB super bowl win be this year... and ironic...

yeah but he got sooo beat up this year... plus, I dont think you will have players running down to mississippi this time to get him into camp anywhere...end of career... and finally... but the bottom line is you are correct about him doing this before... time will tell...

Favre's done, put a fork in him, over, fanito. I'm glad and privileged to watch one of the most prolific and exciting players to ever put on a football helmet (good and bad.) I wasn't ready last season to see him go after witnessing him having one of the most magical season of his storied career at the age of 40, but this year was so painful to watch that I couldn't believe it was the same man that performed just last year. Didn't think it was possible, but the dude finally showed his age and seemed to even add 3-4 years on top of it in one season.

He was beat up, broken and drug through the mud and it showed since Week 1 and gradually got worse. With that said, I hope GB and Favre DOES someday come to an agreement to put these last 3 years behind them, but it will take a long, long time.

And the Vikings...His lazy ass will probably wait until after training camp and most of preseason is over and then "decide" to play this year with someone, whether it's the Vikings or not.

As a lifelong Packer fan and Favre watcher, it feels real this time. This time he's gone for good. Favre's consecutive start record has come to an end, He's suffered numerous injuries. The Vikings' season sucked. No way he'll be back.

Yeah agreed....however, YOU being his BIGGEST critic...you are 100% honest jFB. Tel me OG doesn't have the greatest heart to ever play the game of fotball? Tell me OG was not the most passionate MF to ever play in the NFL? I know you won't, because you are fair.
