If that's the case, why are they even voting on the damn thing to begin with, Republicans and Democrats included? How can you then just bash the Republicans for voting against it while, at the same time, not bashing the Democrats for voting for it?

Stop trying to change the topic at hand. Sean made the point. The GOP did in fact cherry pick the fuckin bill and did set out to scare people.

Not changing the topic at all. He's castigating the Republicans for not voting for something they didn't read but saying nothing about the Democrats also voting on the bill and NOT HAVING READ IT.

You should be fucking ashamed to be associated with that scumbag party.

I'm not associated with that scumbag party or the other scumbag party, namely the Democrats. Fortunately, in Indiana, you do not have to register a party and that is just fine with me. In the last election, in ten contested races, I voted for six Republicans (none for any of the major seats in Congress, mind you), three Libertarians, and one Democrat. Unlike others, I actually put some research into the folks I voted for rather than intellectually copping out and voting a straight party ticket.

They completely made up, lied and fabricated, Death Panels. Do tell me David, that the GOP, namely Boehner and Palin, didn't go on the trail with the point of scaring people, namely seniors, who vote by the way, about NON EXISTANT Death Panels? Hell, even Donna, who is not old and is here at MR, believes Death Panels are part of the Law. That is fucked up.

You actually pay very little attention to anything posted here, do you? I don't believe death panels were or are part of the law. I've said it before on here and I'm saying it again now. Pay attention this time. Go ask someone who believes it, 'cause it ain't me.

Fuck you. You know why I say that? Because Goddammit, you are fair. Very fair. I have to give it to you David, out of all these righties, you are the most level headed bastard on here. Finder is a righty, straight ticket righty, Scotty is a Rush follower, and Slucero is a died in the wool Pubby. I still like all those fucks though, I really do. Oh I forgot, Dan is a sensationalist Pub, meaning he will say whatever the Hell will offend someone the worst way, and I respect that actually.  :D

I don't hate any of the Pubbies here, but I loather the Party. IF and I emphasize if, the Democrats had a backbone like I do, they wouldn't fuckin lose, ever. That's one thing I do have, in addition to horrible etiquette, boogars, pee stains, skid marks, bitch tits, and all that good stuff, I do have a backbone. Ask Steve Augeri about that. That fake rock star. Goddammit now I am pissed just thinking about that bastard who ruined my favorite band.

Deano, if you couldn't shit out your ass you'd still be able to shit... just by opening your mouth....

I'm no fucking Republican, I'm more Libertarian than anything...

I believe in small government, balanced budgets, a womans' right to choose, repeal of DADT, and the Constitution (as written). As exemplified by their actions.. NEITHER Dems or Reps believe in that....

Everybody you disagree with you stick in the "same box".... yet YOU align yourself with the "Party of diversity"...

Grow up hypocrite

Hmmm... Anyone have any theories why this may be?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... rets.html#

WikiLeaks cables: US agrees to tell Russia Britain's nuclear secrets

The US secretly agreed to give the Russians sensitive information on Britain’s nuclear deterrent to persuade them to sign a key treaty, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.

HMS Vanguard is Britain's lead Trident-armed submarine. The US, under a nuclear deal, has agreed to give the Kremlin the serial numbers of the missiles it gives Britain Information about every Trident missile the US supplies to Britain will be given to Russia as part of an arms control deal signed by President Barack Obama next week.

Defence analysts claim the agreement risks undermining Britain’s policy of refusing to confirm the exact size of its nuclear arsenal.

The fact that the Americans used British nuclear secrets as a bargaining chip also sheds new light on the so-called “special relationship”, which is shown often to be a one-sided affair by US diplomatic communications obtained by the WikiLeaks website.

Details of the behind-the-scenes talks are contained in more than 1,400 US embassy cables published to date by the Telegraph, including almost 800 sent from the London Embassy, which are published online today. The documents also show that:

• America spied on Foreign Office ministers by gathering gossip on their private lives and professional relationships.

• Intelligence-sharing arrangements with the US became strained after the controversy over Binyam Mohamed, the former Guantánamo Bay detainee who sued the Government over his alleged torture.

• David Miliband disowned the Duchess of York by saying she could not “be controlled” after she made an undercover TV documentary.

• Tens of millions of pounds of overseas aid was stolen and spent on plasma televisions and luxury goods by corrupt regimes.

A series of classified messages sent to Washington by US negotiators show how information on Britain’s nuclear capability was crucial to securing Russia’s support for the “New START” deal.

Although the treaty was not supposed to have any impact on Britain, the leaked cables show that Russia used the talks to demand more information about the UK’s Trident missiles, which are manufactured and maintained in the US.

Washington lobbied London in 2009 for permission to supply Moscow with detailed data about the performance of UK missiles. The UK refused, but the US agreed to hand over the serial numbers of Trident missiles it transfers to Britain.

Professor Malcolm Chalmers said: “This appears to be significant because while the UK has announced how many missiles it possesses, there has been no way for the Russians to verify this. Over time, the unique identifiers will provide them with another data point to gauge the size of the British arsenal.”

Duncan Lennox, editor of Jane’s Strategic Weapons Systems, said: “They want to find out whether Britain has more missiles than we say we have, and having the unique identifiers might help them.”

While the US and Russia have long permitted inspections of each other’s nuclear weapons, Britain has sought to maintain some secrecy to compensate for the relatively small size of its arsenal.

William Hague, the Foreign Secretary, last year disclosed that “up to 160” warheads are operational at any one time, but did not confirm the number of missiles.

WTF??? :? Thanks for considering me "not old", but I don't believe I ever said that. I did say, and sincerely believe, that there is a slippery slope toward someone in the government (they could be a panel, but maybe a committee, organization or counsel would work too  ) deciding against offering certain services. I blame NO ONE for that but Barack Obama. HIS words, not anyone else's.

Let me ask you (and others in favor of the plan) this... Why is it ok for BO and the dems with this bill to determine what services may not be covered for a particular person/population (again, his words "maybe she should take the pill"), but yet the bill in and of itself was touted to prevent that kind of action by privately operated insurance companies? Is it ok to say that a service isn't warranted because a person is old, but not to say it's because it costs too much? Seems a little hypocritical to me. But what do I know, I only workwith the elderly and Medicare every day...

Agreed.

However, played over the backdrop of the law-raping Bush Administration, this is a comparative drop in the water.

And keep counting those chickens...the unemployment rate fell to 9.0% last month - before any GOP "economic policies" have even been proposed, let alone put into effect. If the rate drops to 7.5% or below by 2012, you can kiss the Senate goodbye...and if your party keeps trending towards Palin, you can DEFINITELY forget about the White House.

Voila:

This morning’s January jobs report was huge disappointment with only 36,000 jobs created (economists expected 140,000). But the news that the unemployment rate dropped to 9% from 9.4% has the rah-rah financial media all excited.

Why did the unemployment rate drop so much? The number of workers moved to the “discouraged” category jumped by 431k to a record 6.643 million. These are people not counted as part of the workforce but want a job now. By eliminating these 6.6 million workers the government disguises the real unemployment rate. It is classic Orwellian propaganda. If we count these unfortunate souls in the workforce the unemployment rate is actually almost 13%. If we add those who are working a crappy part-time job who really want full time work the number grows to almost 17%.

I'll be the first to admit that both parties do it .... so I guess it is fair, Dan! Regardless, it helps out consumer confidence (even if it kind of bullshit) so I'm ok with it! :)

You know for someone who claims to be so discriminating you sure do swallow the White House load before it even starts to cool. Look at the numbers they're trying to sell you dude. Use your brain, it doesn't add up.

If, If, If, where have I heard that before. Oh yeah, just over a year ago before the midterms. You keep counting your chickens though. Palin and an experienced VP would beat Obama.

I'm in the middle on this, Dave. While I certainly don't condone looting and rioting, it sure looked like the van intentionally hit those people. It's worth adding that the van was allegedly a stolen U.S. diplomat van, and I think that was a deliberate attempt to garner more anti-American sentiment. That's just how those animals operate. They'll sacrifice their own to further spread ant-American ideology. And, sadly, it usually works.
