Watching some Hockey Special on NESN before the Bruins game...I just have to say that hockey in the 50s, 60s, and 70s was god-awfully painful to watch....the quality must have been horrible. These goalies couldn't stop a thing. And DEFENSE? Practically non-existent. WOW....just WOW.... :?

Couldn't be any more painful than watching the current day Bruins. That's a team that needs no cups or jock straps!

Jacobs doesn't want to spend the money, what can I say....Thomas got them to the playoffs this year. And this is how the team repays him....

Leading goal scorer(Kessel) left because he didn't want to play defense. Second leading scorer got leveled by Matt Cooke(no penalty), suffered a MAJOR concussion, and will probably never play hockey again...Jacobs never replaced Kessel's offensive output....Horton was supposed to be a good scorer. Don't know what to tell you.

At least the Bruins will never be accused of buying Cups like Detroit....hockey's version of the Yankees.

Tell yourself whatever makes you feel better after a 1st round ousting. Detroit was dominant before the salary cap, and they're still dominant after the cap.

Whatever makes me feel better? Hardly. I'd like to converse with someone who knows the actual game, rather than someone who just roots for a hometown team...and knows squat about the game.....nice try though.

We have some of the best players in the league playing for RedWings ( Datsyuk's assist yesterday anyone ? ).
They get paid well , cause they deserve it. If that means " buying the cup" , ok then S2M. Too bad his Bruins can't afford the players to buy the cup ;)

He's talking about years ago before the salary cap. When that huge Detroit market of abandoned housing and commercial buildings dwarfed small mom and pop towns like Boston, Massachusetts. Lol.
Then after the salary cap forced the Wings to slash their payroll by more than half. They had to turn to their chock full of talent farm system. Further cheating Boston and the rest of the league. Lol

Sorry Sir's, I just want to momentarily make mention of a couple of things....

1. Datsyuk is the coolest sounding last name.

2. The Canucks won tonight. :D

Please continue on with your puck post pokes.

Shut it!!

Honestly, VAN deserves it, they're the better team this year and CHI just can't pull it together. They were better last night than in games one and two, but they're passing is like crap. And at the risk of sounding like a whining puss, that call on Torres was absolute b.s. He should have had five minutes MINIMUM and I hope talk of another suspension for him is true, especially since he JUST sat out four games for doing the same thing to Jordan Eberle that he did to Seabs last night. And no it was not a clean hit. Asshole.

Love these Canuck fans singing the National Anthem. Notice how the singer just stops singing completely at about the 35 second mark and let's the crowd sing it on their own for 30 seconds. Hopefully, the fans in Vancouver aren't as douchey as the Montreal fans when the American National Anthem is performed.

And they definitely deserved to win... CHI didn't have it together, plain and simple. They should darn well know by now they have to shoot high on CryBobby and they keep going low. They blew a 5 on 3 and their passing has just been embarrassing. I had hoped to get at least six games out of this, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon.

 love it lady!
The Blackhawks are my 3rd favorite team but they are up against the only other Canadian team standing.
I always root for The Habs, you know that.
If the Maple Laughs were in I would still show support for the Canucks.
I love when Toronto goes golfing before the big show starts.
