What is scarier is that they want to do away with birth right citizenship altogether. They say it because of the illegals, but we're traipsing a slippery slope here. What if their real intent is to create an Americanized Caste system of sorts. Don't have lots of money. Not a citizen. Not a land owner? Not a citizen. I can actually see it leading to that. They're talking about doing away with the department of education. These same people who benefited from the system now want to tear it down. I am a conservative, but what we're ultimately talking about is only the wealthy having a right to a decent education. For people not born of priviledge, a decent education is their only shot at the American dream. Take that away and we're talking servitude.

Congratulations to the Obama administration on the assassination of UBL. Obama said Saturday that the measures "make good sense" and will help reduce U.S. consumption of imported oil in the long term. But he acknowledged anew that they won't help to immediately bring down gasoline prices topping $4 a gallon in many parts of the country.

His announcement followed passage in the Republican-controlled House of three bills – including two this week – that would expand and speed up offshore oil and gas drilling. Republicans say the bills are aimed at easing gasoline costs, but they also acknowledge that won't be immediate.
