Well I saw a sold out arena of a whole lot of people who give a lot of shits!

Yeah you did, because it's a third round Stanley Cup playoff game. What you want to guess the attendance was in a mid January or February game? let's look.

How about these huge tilts at that hockey crazed mecca known as Tampa Bay.

There was a monster crowd in the Ice Palace for the Jackets in February- 13,000 announced attendance, which means there were about 9,000 in the house. My point is not to bash you or the Bolts, but of course you'll have interest this deep into the playoffs. A TRUE hockey bastion sells out every game. The Nucks have sold out 386 consecutive games at GM Place/Rogers Arena, 18,630. That's impressive. They messed up. They should have built that place to be the size of Tampa's rink. I believe TB holds 21K+. The two clubs should trade arenas.

It's a really nice arena. And it is true they have fair weather fans. But the team has sucked the last few years. If they continue to do well each season, I believe they will build a stronger fan base. Which is why you see me rooting for them now. I want hockey to be relevant in central Florida. Now, I won't argue Canada has more fans....but what else is there to do in the Canadian winters? Florida winters have too many distractions for people here. It's our most beautiful time of the year. I still say they will keep a fan base as they prove themselves a viable team though. Central FL is full of northern transplants who embrace hockey, but yesterday I saw a LOT of local southern type people there too. Loving the sport!

That's all I needed to hear.

So long.

PS- Man, was I a complete fool to A) come back and B) think I had any friends here. You win Sean. I am just embarrassed at this point.

Dean, it's not about that...quit playing the victim. I'm guilty of it myself sometimes. I just lay into an issue, and things get said. You just go WAY overboard. They way you insult people. And this has nothing to do with this being 'only a message board'...Sometimes you can be funny, and other times you can be extremely mean and nasty. I think there are 2 groups of people that wanted you back: the ones that like the humor, and the ones that wanted the mean, nasty, insulting dolt back....talking about 2 NHL hockey teams shouldn't escalate to the crap you spew. Sorry....

Watching the Canucks' 5-on-3 Power Play brought back nostagalic memories of the old NHL video games from my Sega Genesis gaming days. Find the sweet spot, and score a goal every time. It gave me a chuckle seeing them score 3 straight on the exact identical one-timer setup.

And, do the Sharks even notice that Luongo is STILL giving up glove-side goals? Do they not watch film?

As usual, great insight in your posts Jonny. Yes, Luongo needs to shore up his glove, however, credit Vancouver for manipulating Niemi's blocker side weakness. I believe all three PP goals were all blocker side? And that filthy tweeter pass from Hank to Burrows was ridiculous. NO d man/goalie is stopping that play....that was magical. There is no stopping this team, especially when the Twins, Kesler(Conn Smythe winner) and Burrows are rolling...no tto mention Sako has a fuckin howlitzer...Goddamn he is going to kill Burrows or Kes in front of the net one of these games....that takes balls to stand in front and screen when that bomb is coming at you.

But for Lu, he is playing real well. It's natural to get complacent up 4-0 in the 3rd. He was great today, much better than TT was against TB Saturday.

Oh yeah, they did all this today without Edler and Rome in the lineup...and don't forget Manny Muholtra isn't on the playoff roster....something to ponder for next year, League.

PS- And at the risk of sounding like someone we all know who complains regardless the day/hour/minute, those hits BY Torres were all good and legal....I don't care what penalties were called, those were outstanding hits....ask Joey Thornton if he liked being hit by a westbound CP train?

Lovin this so far. Boston's shit D burned early and Tampa up a goal. Hahaha, love it. S2M is in a dark corner somewhere gripping hard...scouring the TV for any suspect calls, looking to manufacture another ridiculous argument where he'll get crushed again.

Surprised Boucher did not start Oldie Rolie....he looks like Jesus :)

Seguin= terrible penalty dude. Tampa scores here, you are history.

I was really surprised at Smith! But you know, he blocked 29 shots last game. Probably a smart decision. Guess Sean was right about something! ;) It's never bad to have 2 good capable goalies!! GO BOLTS!!

Tell me I am wrong with that statement? Dude hammers away all day on people he disagrees with, and finally when someone goes 5 hole on his wimpy ass, he pulls out the personal card. Fuck that. I don't mind the guy, but I'll be damned if that Beantown Turd is going to run me off. Hell, he has a lower approval rate than Congress does! Remember that poll he threw up? ...and I didn't vote in it either!

I suspect S2M will slither out from the closet if the B's get up one late, when he feels fairly confident of a Boston victory. However, if Tampa goes up again, especially late, expect S2M to be all over the NHL zebras!

Lynn, I am sorry sweetie, but aside from Mattias Ohlund and Eric Brewer, TB's defence is about as strong as some Sri Lanka made Vitamin C.

LOL....impossible to catch that..it was bang bang....I notice you didn't mention the obvious trip against Handen in OT that was missed..lol, you are the disgusting one. Just kills you that Vancouver is a good team.

You pathetic cynical bastard. Go make some more NFL "lock bets" where you are off by 40+ points....see NYJ over the Pats, lol. Stupid fucker.

PS- Luongo is the money goaltender....He is standing on his dome. Yeah I know, he could still lose this, but I am going back to work...so this may bite me in the backside, but you have to have balls to predict right?

I am still laughing at your 16-0 Boston prediction smack Sean. Are you for real dude?

Yep...SJ won it in regulation, due to that bogus icing call. VAN probably would have eventually won the series anyway, but what's right, is right...

This is exactly why YOU are the worst poster on ANY message board, period. You're a jackass.

SJ did NOT win it in regulation, and I can prove it. Can you prove they did win it? Where is the "logic" in your statement, Mr. Logic? Stupid dickhole.

Do me and all of us hockey fans a favour and try to refrain from posting in this thread. If you do not know the game, then why post about it in a matter of fact way? Seriously, you look foolish as all fuck.

When Vancouver crashes and burns, look for the drunken idiots to riot again like they did in '94. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Il3UlV2ars

**First time President’s Trophy winners have never won the Cup. (0-14)

**Roberto "ugly goals" Luongo is not a clutch goalie, like Patrick Roy. He collapsed in the Chicago series and in the Olympics (even though his team won it for him on both occasions).

Sorry Sean, but it's true. You are the absolute worst sports poster in history. Excuses, if's, but's, etc. It's embarrassing. There's always a bad call somewhere isn't there. Do yourself a favour and check out of sports altogether. You simply do not understand the way sports work.

You're right. You ARE lucky their PP sucks. they are 5 for 62-ish. If they had a mediocre one, let's say 10 for 62...it would have been a lights out sweep. Again, you are lucky they have a piss poor PP. A power play this anemic is an anomaly.

Well pp's are PART of hockey....if a team sucks at them it's kinda not good for achieving that cup...now is it? Seems like a great team is well rounded in all areas. Boston has had their share of luck...not every goal in this game for TB was luck. Sometimes I think you need glasses!

Look...here's the skinny. The 1st power play goal was offsides. The 2nd was a bogus interference call, and the commentators even said the BOS player was entitled to that space on the ice....the 3rd was a cheap-ass cross-check by Ference on, guess who? Stamkos the wunderkind. Ference didn't even extend his arms....all 3 were bogus. Case closed.
