**Roberto "ugly goals" Luongo is not a clutch goalie, like Patrick Roy. He collapsed in the Chicago series and in the Olympics (even though his team won it for him on both occasions).

Gee, how is YOUR team doing asshole? You're just jealous you don't live in such a nice city.

We don't need to it win The Cup every year, clapdick. We have 24 to brag about.

Just caught this.....No way is this getting past me.

Finishing 5th or 6th usually 7th in conference the last decade is nothing to hang your touque on Uno...By the way, you aren't an asshole and I apologize for the over the top vilgarity...Having said that, IMO you really can't go to the 24 Cup card when in reality, you've been very average the past decade or so. Never one to complain about officiating, and in fact I can't complain, because the right call was made, but if Marty McSorley hadn't used an illegal stick in 1992, the LA Kings would have a Stanley Cup! That was a good series actually.

Nice to see you in this threa Uno. Cheers.

Look...here's the skinny. The 1st power play goal was offsides. The 2nd was a bogus interference call, and the commentators even said the BOS player was entitled to that space on the ice....the 3rd was a cheap-ass cross-check by Ference on, guess who? Stamkos the wunderkind. Ference didn't even extend his arms....all 3 were bogus. Case closed.
Sean, I don't give a CRAP how they won. They won. And there's a game 7. Case CLOSED.

Ok ok. You got me.

I promise to NEVER ever respond to you again in a sports thread. How can anyone, Lynn included, stomach this? Literally it's nauseating to read. You cannot be serious Sean? Really? Even if you are, I personally want nothing to do with you if you are meaning what you are saying here. You are incredible.

Like my PM to you said, I am sure you are a good guy, but without a doubt you are the worst poster I have ever read.

I watched the whole game last night. Incredibly well officiated game, and I only saw one tripping no-call that stood out. But the Tampa player was able to make the pass and it didn't affect the play, so I was ok with the no-call. The crowd wasn't real happy, though! Other than that, it was a great job by the officials. Great ending to the game. Boston really took it to Tampa at the end, but couldn't light the lamp. Should be an awesome Game 7.

True about the Kings/Habs series...Their coach at the time (ESPN analyst Melrose) is a real decent person, having coached a couple of youth hockey games against him and his son's team. His wife though, a different story, as she was always polluted drunk at the games. Even other hockey moms had to apologize for her behavior. A sure-fire candidate for the "train-wreck of a human being Hall of Fame". What a flaming bag of shit...badmouthing 10 year olds during and after the game as they're coming out of the locker room.

Game 7 !

"If Boston wins tonight it's cause they're the better team who played hard and deserved a win.
If Tampa wins is due bad/missed calls , cheap goals, weak Boston PP and any other excuses you can find in the book. "

Guess who ?!

But if I have to pick, I'd rather see VAN get it. At least keep it in the Western Conference.

The last time the Canucks got to the Finals, they lost to an Original Six team.
The last time the Bruins got to the Finals, they lost to a Canadian team.

Something's gotta give.

Tim Thomas was brilliant in his Game 7 shutout win. However, in the Tampa series, he did give up 5 goals on 3 occassions, 4 goals in another. 3 of which were losses, the other, he was bailed out by a sudden barrage of Boston offense. There are chinks in the armor, not a good thing when your team doesn't play defense consistently. And Boston's non-existent power play has to bite them in the back sometime....Luongo has been shaky at-times, and he really needs to fix that hole in his glove...but he's been consistent otherwise. And he does have the best all-around team in front of him, regardless of even-strength, power play, penalty kill. I think Canada is long overdue to see their Stanley Cup, and I believe Vancouver will take it home. Canucks in 6.

Awe,thanks Moonie! I'm okay though! Wish they'd won, but what a great effort and how close! Both teams played hard! I have a lot of respect for TB that I never had before this season...even though they killed my Pens! It's been such a fun playoffs this year, following them locally, learning more about their team. So glad to have hockey here in the south, even though some think we don't need it! I think next season is going to be an interesting one! I think I may have to root for your Canadian team in the cup finals! They should finally win their cup I'd say! Congrats to the Boston fans on the win!

In all seriousness, it should not be a great series. Vancouver should win in 5. Yeah I know, S2M is writing this down in the event Boston wins 2 games, 3 games or even wins the series. Anything can happen....what if Kesler gets injured, or God forbid one of the twins go down? On the other hand, maybe, just maybe, Manny Muhultra might come back- that would be a huge boost.

In any event, I say Vancouver in 5, although I wouldn't be upset to see them win it in 6 at Rogers Centre.

PS- Deb, I know you said, "bring home Stanley" referring to bringing home the greatest trophy in sports to Canada, but in reality, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and almost the rest of the Canada are NOT pulling for Vancouver. I say fuck em.

It's true, Donuts. Most of the country does not like Vancouver. That's why I HATE Toronto and especially Montreal. You assclowns can spend 5 hours at an all you can dickfeast. There have been many polls on CTV and CBC backing up my claims. Hell, you can't be taken serious. You pull for the Habs, then the Red Wings, then the Canucks, then the Bruins....

Donuts, what I am trying to say is, you are a bad fan. You need to pick ONE team and say fuck you to the rest of the NHL.

So on the one hand you hate them all for not pulling for Vancouver....but then on the other hand, your opinion is people need to stick to one team and say fuck you to the rest of the NHL....that's confusing! :P There is a difference between loving a city and supporting all of it's sports and loving and enjoying watching the sport. How much fun is it to watch a game when you don't pick someone youd like to see win. Some people would never get to watch a good game of hockey, their teams suck so bad. You can have an allegiance to one team, and still enjoy watching other teams go at it, and wish for a certain winner. People who don't just miss out on really enjoying the "sport" of it.

Has Dean's account been hacked? Seems I've heard that around here before. Me, I can get into what other teams are doing. Shit, when my guys go out I just may not be ready to be done for the season. I still want to watch because I love the sport. I'm even looking to see VAN take this, THAT is saying something. I'm not saying I'm going to run out and buy a jersey or switch alliance or anything... but it's exciting as hell to watch.

For years and YEARS it was real hard to be a Bhawks fan because you couldn't even see the games IN chicago thanks to daddy Wirtz... eventually you could see just the away games and only on cable. So when I moved out west, it was a big change to live in place where they - GASP - actually showed the home team on TV - and on the local channels too! And I love hockey, and I enjoyed being able to actually watch it, so I got to be a fan of Phoenix... not that I let go of my home team or anything. Nothing wrong with it. But I'd still go to the PHX-CHI games and hope for CHI to whoop their asses.

If your guys are out and you're a fan of the sport, what's the big deal about being into it. I guess I'm not a real fan either. :?

I'm not that big of a hockey fan but I follow the Pens and only the Pens. I'm more of an NFL buff. I LOVE to keep up with every team in the NFL because quite frankly, on a week to week basis, one team's efforts can drastically change the outlook of the entire NFL picture and esp your own team. I love the game, I love matchups and certainly love the circumstance but I will never, ever root for another team than my own & that's that. Once my team is eliminated, I'll have preference of who I'd like to see win versus much hated teams like Baltimore or a team like New England but if a team I'd like to see wins ends up with the victory, a little fist pump occurs then it's ready for next season.

After all these years you seriously don't see why any NFL fan on the face of the planet would root against New England? Pretty boy quarterback, controversy within their title reign, a dis-tasteful head coach that lacks personality and sportsmanship to shake an opponents hands after they lose, etc. The Steelers/Patriots/Colts have been the AFC's top 3 teams of this decade, I don't expect much else with vice-versa around the rest of the league when it comes to those 3 teams. Even John 'loathes' Pittsburgh because of the competitive W's and L's they both create yearly. Take it as a compliment but Pittsburgh is due for Brady's number and they have it circled in the 2011 season.

Have no idea why you root against NE....maybe it is because you've only beaten a Brady-led NE once, and a Cassel-led NE once, in 12 years....

I need to get a Terrible Towel in Aug. For when I run out of TP. :P

Okay but I must warn you, the material certainly doesn't make for good toilet paper so you might walk away with a bloody asshole but hey, your choice. 8)
