I still want Van to bring the cup home, but Dan if you couldn't see that in replay you really DO need glasses. But whatever, done is done. What really pissed me off though was this class-less taunt in last nights game, what a punk.............. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtY5g4o72qk

Thanks for being a voice of reason Deb. There is nothing I LOATHE more than someone with an agenda. I don't care who hates what Boston sports team. What's wrong is wrong, and suggesting that this guy didn't bite Bergeron is just plain moronic! Again, this has absolutely nothing to do with the match up between the two teams. I said before the series started that Vancouver was soooooo far superior in talent to the Bruins, that they should probably sweep them. I just think that it sends the wrong message for the league not to discipline a player for something so blatantly obvious. Then again, this is the same league who looked the other way on that cocksucker Matt Cooke and didn't discipline him when he ended Savard's career! No wonder the NHL doesn't have national appeal. They really need to get their act together. Thanks to Boston, they have their highest Stanley Cup ratings in 13 years, but they certainly can't count on the Bruins getting there year after year to boost their ratings!
so what did you think of Horton's sucker punch on Moore in the TB series game one? Like 40 seconds left in the game, right after Lucic did the same to Hedman? ...all they got was a 10 min penalty with only 40 sec left of course. That was a blatant punch in the jaw/head...Moore was almost knocked out! it was reviewed and he played next game. Is that ok because it's the bruins? All teams get away with crap in the NHL, and Boston is no exception. Cry all you want. Or just give up hockey since the league is so messed up.

Nobody's arguing that, I was just saying you'd have to be blind to not see it in the replay. LOL I still think Van would have won that second game regardless. I was pissed at LaPierre's taunting in the second game though, not cool at all. But ya, crowds get pissed, calls get missed all the time.......... even to my Iggy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG1HYYMjlh8

I wasn't arguing with you Deb! And I think he bit him too! It even looked liked Bergeron's finger might be bleeding... but its' not like Boston is some "clean" team that never gets away with crap in the playoffs. That was my point!

I think they would have won too! I think they will win the cup as a matter of fact! :)

Fighting is part of the game, punching is part of the game....BITING is not. Why is that so difficult to understand? Other players have been suspended for biting...I find it suspect that nothing was done. Why? Cause it is the finals...if this were the regular season Burrows would have been suspended.

Sucker punching someone UNDER their helmet, knocking them to the ground, is NOT part of the game. It was a CLEAR sucker punch. Some have been suspended for punches too, if they are to the head.... I believe that one to Hedman was on the replays. He had to shake it off and could barely stand up. That is NOT part of the game Sean. Want me to start listing all the sucker punch suspensions in history too???

A couple of points here...First and foremost, I never claimed a cheap play wasn't a cheap play because the guy is wearing a Bruins jersey. Sucker punching a guy is never okay. That said, it wasn't really the topic at hand. One guy BITING another guy was! The last point I'll make is that I don't need to take my advice from you on what I should or shouldn't watch. He was not suspended for THAT... but he was suspended at the end of the season, in March and banned from the playoffs first round. I am wondering how long the Pens will even keep him.

I'm quite sure that Matt Cooke has committed numerous infractions (including his cheap shot on Savard) that he was never suspended for. You might want to check your facts, omnipotent one!

So do I need to start listing cheap shots that Bruins players haven't gotten suspended for? I bet it's NEVER happened, right? It IS catching up to him, which was my point. I doubt the Pens will put up with him much longer. It's not good for their team.

Cooke's all but gone. Very distasteful and plays the game like one big ball of agonizing free-lancer that does whatever he wants regardless of what the team tells him. I always hated Cooke, a scumbag that does more harm than good for a team by his moronic acts on the ice and the fanbase agrees.

Yeah, but apparently SOME people think to be a fan of a team, it means you support every player. As if fans have any control. I'm glad they are finally coming down on him. I think they waited too long.

I'm not here to argue...just stating facts.

Personally, I think the rule should be that any person that hurts another player in such a way that the injured player misses time - that player is out until that other player comes back. And an instance where the player never comes back, like due to a concussion - the other player doesn't get to come back either. That's just the way it should be....there's no way as a player with a career-ending concussion needs to be watching the other player still playing the game that he can no longer play....

He sliced his leg with his freaking skate Sean! Those skates are like knifing someone! He could have severly damaged his leg. THAT deserved 30 suspensions. That is not the same as a finger bite though that was wrong too. I'm not defending it's ok to bite. But lots of major things get little slaps on the hands in the NHL. And Boston has had it's moments too.

You are completely pointless to even attempt to debate with. You're attempting to turn this into something that it isn't! I don't stick up for dirty players, regardless of which team they play for, including Boston! A cheap shot is a cheap shot, period, end of fucking story! I would have had zero problem with Horton getting suspended for the play you cited. I also took several Bruins fans to task for whining about legitimate penalties that were called against the Bruins in the Tampa series. I never once claimed that a player who plays on a Boston team has never committed a dirty play, but again, that wasn't the topic at hand. I was talking about the bite specifically, because I can't tell you the last time I remember an NHL player being bitten by another player. A sucker punch in the NHL isn't all that unusual. The NHL as a whole does a horrendous (and woefully inconsistent) job when handing out discipline. For the casual NHL fan (which includes most of them during the Stanley Cup Finals), this isn't the picture you want to portray of your league, and Bettman needs to figure that out!

This proves you have never played the game. What a horseshit post, written by a pussy! You take the chance when you play this game, that you may be injured, sometimes unfortunately severe.

As for you whining Boston fans, ALL of you, go eat a dick. Bergeron put his fingers in Alex's mouth. What you want Burrows to do, sample the evening sweat from Bauer in club de Rogers? Fuck you! Bergeron is just as guilty with this whole thing. Let it go already. And instead of whining Boston(and it's fans), trying to make a play, or defend the entry pass, lol. You're done. Mercifully.

PS- and John, I like how you automatically credit the ratings to "Boston." Sure, population comes into play, but people are turning in to see the Twins and Kesler as well as Luongo, not to mention, oh yeah, the Presidents trophy winners...Hell, the Green Men have more appeal than any player on Boston. Spare me fuckin Chowds.

PS- Let me ask you, who has outplayed who, Burrows or Bergeron? Burrows right now is the MVP.

Dean....you can't be this daft in real life, can you?

Yes....you take your chances that something won't go wrong like Bryce Florie taking one in the eye socket.....but conversely - you shouldn't have to worry about a head-hunting pitcher ending your career ON PURPOSE.

In regards to hockey, getting blindsided in the dome by an elbow isn't something you should have to worry about as a player. And if by chance it DOES happen - you would think the league wouldn't turn tail and not have your back.....

Face-washing happens in every game....BITING does not. For you to take Burrow's side just goes to show what kind of a loser you really are.....

By the way....I see 2 one-goal games......where's the 'ass-raping' I was supposed to get?

Just a FYI-

I am proud to passionately say, that Vancouver is indeed the center of the hockey world. It is no popular anywhere.

CBC just said that there was 125,000 people watching the game downtown around Rogers Centre, on big screen TV's. There were reportedly 300 Don Cherry cutouts in the crowd and over 500 Green Men wannabes. How can you not like the Green Men? Oh yeah S2M, they are on the ground in Boston, and yes, they travel courtesy of Mike Gillis and the Vancouver Canucks Hockey Club. How cool is that?

Here, tell me this isn't cool fandom? http://thegreenmenfanpage.com/

Come on Dean. You can't be this fucking blind just because you're a Vancouver fan. I promise you that American fans (and I'm talking about American ratings) aren't tuning in to watch the "Canucks". Most Americans don't know what the fuck a Canuck even is. The reality is that Boston has always been a big time hockey town, and I promise you that it isn't just a coincidence that the NHL is seeing it's best ratings in more than a decade. If you don't believe me, look up the numbers. Boston's rating was more than a 25 share (simply unheard of for an NHL game anywhere in this country)!

Burrows has played his ass off in spite of biting Bergeron's finger. I would absolutely give him the MVP if this series were over right now!

1- You are as miserable sonofabitch.

2- I played the game, out of the safety of the fuckin crease- every hockey player knows goalies are pussies. You stay in there and when someone opens the window, you get cold. Fuck you.

3- I am NOT literaly taking Burrows side, but think about it- What the fuck was he supposed to do? I have been in a thousand of those scrums, and NEVER had some schmuck shove his sweaty Bauer down my cakehole. It's the heat of the moment, the biggest stage in sports, the Stanley Cup Finals. Burrows I am sure was adrenalyzed...that however is NO excuse. I hate that he did it, but the guy plays the game the right way...tough, fast and incredibly skilled. Ask the Chicago fans how well he plays? :) I'll ask you Bostonians how good Burrows is? Like I said, his bite soured me, but you don't suspend guys in the Finals for that kind of shit. And if you take Burrows, you got to take Bergeron too. And I bet you my bottom dollar, that you Chowds think Bergeron is more valuable than Alex. So if the NHL took both, you'd still cry foul.

As for the assraping? It's still early. Without TT, it would have been 5-0 in Game 1, and even worse in Game 2.

I see the Nucks winning big in one of the next two, and win it at Rogers next weekend.
