Ouch! That's a pretty comprehensive list! I think you'll be lucky to find someone with other stuff, but are you interested in non-Survivor trades?

Hi, First of all; I'm not Fred White. I know Fred and he has a bigger collection than mine. We did a trade in the past, but due to working situation he is not able to do trades at the moment.

It's most likey because most of this stuff has already been around here...I myself shared pretty much everything I have with anyone here that asked...I don't care a thing about 'trading'...If I have something, people are welcome to it (I know, it may take me a while to get to it); that's how I got most of my stuff in the first place, was people nice enough to share.

Your list is long, but I don't think much on there is very rare, or offers something nobody has heard or the time period is saturated. If you had an 82 concert from the Tiger tour, people would be all over you, but sadly you do not.

I think that everyone has heard so much of the 93-99 stuff and then the post 2000 stuff when JJ came back, that the interest is just minimal or they simply don't have anything you don't have to 'trade'.

Not meaning to speak out of turn, but you seemed confused why you did not have more takers and that is my best guess.

What happens is that there is not much material from the acutal tours 'back in the day' when they were touring albums and how many boots can you have of a band singing the same eight songs at country fairs? It's a shame more stuff does not exist from the 80's...

Yeah, that's what I love - 99% of the Survivor fan community have been happy to share freely, despite the time and effort it's taken them to track down the rarities. I remember when I first joined the Survivor bulletin board in 1997 - I couldn't find some of that rare stuff anywhere and several fans such as Flip and Olli were wonderful burning me copies just for the cost of the CD-Rs and postage (or in exchange for other AOR rarities).

That said, there are some people out there trying to make a steep profit on selling this material and trying to badger fans into paying almost twice as much as they would for a brand new retail CD which, to me, is against the spirit of generosity that this community is founded on.

So this is a quick thank you to those collectors who have shared their finds over the years. It's people like you that keep our community going.

The problem above might be that this is the majority of the material that's out there. I think you'd be lucky to find traders who have anything else that isn't already on your list. Maybe you could broaden your description of what you'd like in return - e.g. list some other artists you're interested in aside from just Survivor/Peterik etc?

In my case, sadly, I just don't have much to be able to trade to anyone. And, for the most part, I can't afford to pay for shipping the stuff either.

Otherwise, I would gladly work something out with anyone who wanted to make trades.

Although, another problem that I run into is that I don't have the equipment to be able to burn DVD's. I have a friend that is able to burn things to DVD. He used to be really cool about doing that for me years ago. But for the last 5 years or more he seems to act like it's a major hassle for him to do it. If I asked him today to burn something for me, it might take a year for him to get around to it.

So my point was proven (most people can not tell the difference between JJ and DB). Sure the diehard fans can but the others can not. You can bet that when JJ performed Eye Of The Tiger, people did not know the difference. With Robin it is obvious. This may piss people off on this board, but maybe it's because in concert all JJ had to worry about was doing EOTT as close to the original. EOTT was the only hit Survivor had with Bickler.

The point is the casual listener isn't listeningG to Premonition or CITG...the fact is most people have no idea the band Survivor had two lead singers...they just don't...and in the 80's most did not realize the guy singing EOTT is not the guy singing "The Serach is Over"...they just don't....and most didn't care enough to listen that close...people still get confused and I have read articles that said the guy that sang the Baywatch song, san Eye of the Tiger or is that the one that does Bud ads or the guy in the Starbucks commercial...and then who the hell was the guy on Dancing with the Stars etc. all...
