Really not a surprise. The NFL is currently being sued by countless retired players about the violence of the game and how they did nothing to stop it. If they look the other way on a bounty program, it doesn't look good for their court cases. To me, this is no different than "Spygate". NFL teams have been doing this shit FOREVER. The fact that some fans actually think this is news tells me that they really don't understand the NFL. None of this is news, AT ALL. Again, the decision made by Goodell is all about self-preservation for the league and allows the league to defend themselves in court and say "See how tough we are when we know that the safety of our players is in jeopardy". I can tell you this...There isn't a single team (not one!) in the NFL who hasn't engaged in "Spygate", or "Bountygate" at one point or another! No different than stealing signs in baseball and intentionally drilling a guy with a fastball.

A league source tells PFT’s Mike Florio that the deal is a four-year, $14 million contract with $7 million guaranteed. At an average of $3.5 million a year, that’s the best deal a free-agent running back has received this year.
i really like this move by Chicago.Forte and Bush pretty good combo there.

I do 2. I think the Bears are amping up for a run as long as Cutler stays healthy. Getting a stud like Marshall at WR was a big step also. This is turning into the toughest division in football.

Television evangelist Pat Robertson says the Denver Broncos didn’t show enough loyalty to Tim Tebow, and they may pay for it this season.
After the Broncos signed Peyton Manning and traded Tebow to the Jets, Robertson said he thinks it demonstrates that Tebow isn’t appreciated. And he said that if Manning’s neck injury keeps him off the field, the Broncos will be sorry.
“I think the Denver Broncos treated him shabbily,” Robertson said, via Mediaite.com. “He won seven games, he brought them into the playoffs, for heaven sakes. I mean, they were a nothing team. He rallied them together with spectacular last-minute passes and, you know, when they beat Buffalo — I mean, Pittsburgh, excuse me — it was a tremendous victory. And you just ask yourself, OK, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he’s been injured. If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right.”
It’s not often that we turn to Pat Robertson for football opinions, but hearing an odd opinion from an odd source feels like par for the course in this craziest of NFL offseasons.

On Thanksgiving, the Lions will host the Texans or the Colts. The Cowboys will welcome an NFC team; this year, the visitor will come from among the Redskins, Giants, Eagles, Buccaneers, Saints, and Bears. No specific team has dibs on the third game Thanksgiving game, which will be televised for the first time on NBC.
The full schedule will be released prior to the draft.
i would love to see the Lions face the Texans that would be a really good game so i hope they do that instead of wasting it on Indy who will be rebuilding most likely with Luck at QB.As far as the Cowboys on T'Giving i'd love to see them face either the Bears or Saints.
