It's the music world's version of The Guardian, but from the musician's point of view.

There are some pretty obnoxious attention seeking people out there...My hope, however futile, is that, if we could somehow all agree to stop looking at them, they may go away. . .

Newt knows, and as he said, he's using the Carville Rule. Obama is stuck at 47% and that spells LoOOser!

It's not over till the fat lady sings......

But I sure hope Romney wins cause I'm not looking at forward to that Obama second term victory speech as much as I once looked forward to getting a 9 inch cotten swab ream and scream after coming back from liberty.

how many guys regret who the did it with for the first time? Does Rosie Palmer count? You see voting is like what the band Yes termed "Young mans pleasure"*, is an act that goes on in private.

* for your rock ingoramuses, note that reference is from the album 90125, the song Leave IT, line 3 , OK?

LOL I can tell you stories about that one from my US Navy days. I never fell victim to that by my best buddy did. We were based in Scotland and out on liberty in some small Scottish town. He tried to pawn some ugly girl off on me one night . Another local girl tapped me on the shoulder and said, dont go there.... I work at the local surgery, just dont I know! . I walked away, and he was left with her. Two days later down at medical the poor kid was screaming so loud you could hear him for miles around the base all across the frickin highlands.

LOL. Well I'm glad someone can relate to this. I have a lot of crazy stories from my military days over in Asia as well. I remember guys bending pipes down in the head trying to stop from screaming after catching the gleap from one of those hot little LBFM's that were PBR that they picked up out in town. BDS 6 was where no one ever wanted to be.

LOL ...I think every Navy person knows that Kenny Rogers song Lucille, which is sung by sailors with different lyrics:

You picked a fine time to meet me miss Lee
Four days of port call and a case of VD
Ive had some bad times lived though some sad time
This time is burns when I pee....
You picked a fine to meet me Miss Lee...

Gallup Party ID figures predict solid Romney win

Well then why do we even bother with the damn election day ? Its a done deal. Its a solid win. Why waste more time on this crap, Get Romney in ASAP so he can start creating 12000000 jobs !

suck on this :

"Both of those models have Romney winning Iowa. Romney has already lost Iowa. Any democrat or republican believing that either party is going to hit 310+ electoral votes is really drinking the strong kool-aid.

Ohio, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Nevada and as any election, likely one surprise state. Anything else is far too optimistic for its own good."

There is a proceedure in place and it's got to be followed regardless, so that's why.

I understand it. But what do I say in reply to sarcasm. More sarcasm? I've done that before and after awhile, it all just gets lost in sarcasm, much like lost in translation.;)

Gotta say, this reminds me of Debate #1 Obama...

Question - Who is the knucklehead that got this interview and how the hell did he get it? What is this tired discussion around alternative energy? 5 of the 63 companies (Approx) that were invested in by the government have failed, but 58 or so are still viable....I mean are we really still discussing climate change and impacts related to continued fossil fuel use?

on a related note, a quick shout out to everyone in the impacted East coast regions, facing the upcoming Frankenstorm - be safe!!

http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/timstanley/100186053/romney-won-the-presidential-debate-by-looking-presidential-obama-had-a-painful-case-of-bidens-smile/

Romney won the presidential debate by looking presidential. Obama had a painful case of Biden's smile

Romney won the third presidential debate – and how he did it was encapsulated in a single exchange. The candidates were discussing military spending and Romney had just accused Obama of making harmful cutbacks. The President wheeled out what must have seemed like a great, pre-planned zinger: “I think Governor Romney maybe hasn't spent enough time looking at how our military works. You mentioned the navy, for example, and that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916. Well, governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets because the nature of our military's changed.” The audience laughed, Obama laughed, I laughed. It was funny.

But here’s why it was also a vote loser. For a start, Twitter immediately lit up with examples of how the US Army does still use horses and bayonets (horses were used during the invasion of Afghanistan). More importantly, this was one example of many in which the President insulted, patronised and mocked his opponent rather than put across a constructive argument. His performance was rude and unpresidential. Obama seemed to have a touch of the Bidens, wriggling about in his chair, waving his hands dismissively and always – always – smirking in Romney’s direction. By contrast, Romney sucked up the abuse and retained a rigid poker face all night. He looked like a Commander in Chief; Obama looked like a lawyer. Who would you rather vote for?

Thank you. It was just my take on it. I guess it depends on ones view of things. I am never impressed with insult vs intellect. You lose points with being a jerk, and respect. People can easily be turned off by negative campaigning. I am sure both sides are guilty. But the President should have been straight on point and used his wits to argue his point. He would have come across more mature. That kind of insult is more middle school, and I get enough of that at work.

If there is 60% of our military troops that will vote for Romney, that should tell us what kind of repect Obama does not have, as Commander in Chief. What kind of a POTUS has only the minority of our troops behind him?

I know most, if not all of you, think I'm a friggin crackpot but I don't believe any of these polls. When the voting polls close on election night and the votes are all in, those are the only numbers that are going to matter to me.
